Warning about fanart links: If you're just hitting my site now, after a few years of it being up, you'll probably notice that there are a lot of broken links to Japanese fanart sites. For whatever reason, often times, when the Japenese fen are burnt out on a series, they take their sites down after a small period and the site disappears completely. Now, I could take the link down, but I really, really hate to remove a rec once I've put it up and it's also incredibly time-consuming for me to double-check links and sometimes the sites simply move and I can just correct the URL.

Note about many pages on this site: As with any section on my site, I'd probably suggest starting with the most recent pages and working backwards, rather than starting from the beginning. Sometimes a fandom starts slow and I'm desperate for fic or I'm just not that sure of my take on the characters yet, so I'm open to a wider range of things, and as time goes on, I often get more and more focused on what I'm really looking for. And I assume that if you find this site to be of any use, your tastes mesh with my own and will probably enjoy the later stuff more on average than you do the early stuff.

: Miscellaneous Anime Fanworks Recs - For when I don't have enough to give something its own section (Fujimi no Orchestra, I'm looking at you--though, strangely enough, Magic Knights Rayearth seems to show up most often); often times I'm aware of a series (like, say, Fushigi Yuugi), but am not rabid enough to hunt a ton of things down. It gets chucked in here because I recognize it on an art site or happened to come across something that was stunning or short enough to not make me get too terribly lost. Basically, if it has less than three recs and I don't forsee many more coming, it goes here.

: +Anima Fanworks Recs - Such a cute little series that almost no one has ever heard of! I absolutely adore this manga, it's one of the most beautiful I've ever seen, especially for a shounen series. I'm hoping that eventually more people get into it, because it needs more fic. (And I need to expand this section, because I know there must be more fic or art out there. ~_~) Will be largely gen, with a light sprinkling of Crow/Husky hinted at, most times. [Empty for now. D:]

: Ai no Kusabi Fanworks Recs - I'm just about the only yaoi fan on the planet who didn't much like this anime, aren't I? I mean, yes, the sex was great and you'd think I'd love the cheesy '80s scifi stuff, since that's usually right up my alley. But... meh. That said, why do I have an AnK section? Because, dammit, I needed a FIX IT NOW solution to that stupid thing. *raspberries* Will, of course, be very, very yaoi.

: Arislan Senki Fanworks Recs - I probably shouldn't have given this series its own section because it's never going to be very big, but, well, I wanted to do so anyway. *ahem* Anyway, ever since I watched this series, I just felt a certain chemistry between Daryun and Narsus and immediately fell in love with them. Unfortunately, there's not a ton out there for them, so this section will always be small, but hopefully it'll grow at least a little. I may find some gen stuff I like eventually, but this will probably be mostly yaoi.

: Bastard!! Fanworks Recs - When I first sat down to watch this series, I had no idea what I was getting into--all I knew is that the one review I'd read of it said it was funny (despite the frequent naked chicks in it, 'cause, hey, naked Dark Schneider, too! XD) and even after I watched it, I didn't really know what I was getting into. It was a funny series, I liked it, but there wasn't much to go on, yet I still wandered around to look for any background information and for fanworks. Somewhere along the line, I don't know how it happend, but I fell in love with these characters. Completely and utterly. And Kall-Su is my darling so lots of focus on him. ♥ This section is a mixture of everything--gen, het, and yaoi, it all depends on what's out there to find.

: Bakuretsu Hunters Fanworks Recs - You know, I thought I'd go straight for Marron with this series... well, okay, I did, but as I watched the anime... I found I fell completely head over heels for Carrot. Such a... *waves hands* lech, but still such a good person. The way he looks out for Marron, even though he doesn't understand him at all, the way he'll give up his umbrella for a girl in the rain one minute and go chasing after a hot chick the next.... *LOVES* However, this section will probably still be mostly Gateau x Marron. I like them. <3

: Black Cat Fanworks Recs - I've been a fan of Black Cat for a few years and always sort of wanted to get further into the fandom... except there really wasn't a fandom, it was difficult to find any fic at all. So when the anime came along and fic started popping up a little... well, there was finally enough to warrant a section for it! I am very much a Creed x Train fangirl and would dearly love to read more about the pairing. I also have a huge, giant soft spot for Sven x Eve fic done right. Other than that, I'd like gen fic and I wish there were fanart and... well, yes. For all that I love this series, it's probably going to be very small for a long time.

: Bleach Fanworks Recs - You know, once upon a time, Bleach fanworks were actually rare and I had to scour all over the place to find more than a handful. But, with the anime having come out (and now on US TV as well), the fandom has exploded and I, of course, have settled down a bit from my previous fervor. This will still get you started and still has a variety of things to look over, it's still one of the bigger sections I have. I liked a lot of different things, I was pretty all over the place with yaoi (I like Ishida x Ichigo a lot!) but eventually I settled into mostly het OTPs. I mostly recommend Ichigo x Orihime, but you can find a lot of Renji x Rukia and Hitsugaya x Matsumoto and pretty much... well, if the author was really good, I tried to give it a shot. I do wish there were more genfic, though.

: Card Captor Sakura Fanworks Recs - This section is going to be a combination of two things--Touya fic and Touya art. ^_~ Okay, there'll be some fic that's not centered around Touya occasionally and quite a lot of art that's not centered on him... but, yeah, he's my favorite. So, most fic will be about TouyaxYukito/Yue, but the art will probably be more centered on Sakura-chan and Syaoran. I occasionally branch out, I do love Eriol/Kaho and Fujitaka/Nadeshiko and Fujitaka/Sonomi and I would seriously like some Tomoyo/Meiling from the anime and... yeah. Some yaoi, some het, some gen.

: Chobits Fanworks Recs - This section is purely fanart right now because I've come across a lot of CLAMP sites that have Chobits art tucked away on them or because I've sought art out. I like the series, even if it IS a hentai doujinshika's wet dream come true. ^_~ But I really don't have much desire to read fic until I actually finish those last three books of the series. >_< Will probably always be gen/het, since I like that with this series.

: Code Geass Fanworks Recs - For the forseeable future, this catagory will likely be pure fanart because... while I like Code Geass a lot, I'm not particularly sure why. It's not that I have a great fondness for the characters, the only one I really have a vague sort of affection for is Shirley and I have an interest in Lelouch's sociopathy. Which, naturally, makes them my pairing of choice, but even that... is just sort of, "Hm, that'd be cute, until it ended tragically." I'm into Geass, strangely enough, for the plot. So, fic doesn't much appeal to me. Fanart, on the other hand, as long as the picture is pretty, I'll probably rec it. I'll go with whatever the fandom draws a lot of, so there'll be an even mix of het, gen, and yaoi, I imagine.

: Cowboy Bebop Fanworks Recs - Bebop is one of those series that I've sort of been eyeing for about three years now and have just never gotten around to watching it and I'm not really sure why, aside from laziness. Because a lot of people seem to really like it and friends are really fond of the series and I know there's some really excellent fic for it out there. Yet.... Anyway, in the meantime (eventually I will watch and start reading fic, dammit), I occasionally do the fanart thing for the series, so I'm putting up a section. And... I know the series wasn't going for it, but Spike/Faye intrigues me. So... I'll probably head for that eventually. I assume. Maybe. Dunno.

: D.Gray-man Fanworks Recs - Have I mentioned enough times yet that Weekly JUMP pwnz me? Because it does. And D.Gray-man is yet another series that I've absolutely fallen in love with, because it's just so damned good. Interesting characters, compelling storyline, everything is just absolutely charming. I'm sort of all across the board at the moment, as long as it's pretty, I'll give it a shot. Though, there's not much English fic yet, so it's mostly leaning towards j-fanart right now, most of which will be Kanda/Allen as that's the pairing I ping on most right now. Now, if someone would just draw more Komui fanart.... *__* Will probably be mostly yaoi, but I'm not opposed to het, either.

: Death Note Fanworks Recs - I started on Death Note fairly early into its run (I think there were only eight or nine chapters translated when I started) and so my time running through the fandom was back when there weren't a lot of authors writing for it. As time wore on, I burnt out a little, so this section will probably always be small and not as comprehensive as it should be, but I've got a few pointers for getting started at least. I leaned towards L/Raito, but I could occasionally do the batshit L/Misa and I looooove gen. More fanart than anything, but with the fic authors, I usually try to get at least one by each author that's worth reading, so hit their archives and look for more by them if you like the fic?

: Detective Conan Fanworks Recs - Ahahahah, I blame this one entirely on Vikki because I know she likes it and whenever I come across fanart for it, instead of skipping over it, I check it out. This is one of those series I'd like to get into someday, but I have a couple of recs for it now, so it gets its own page. I don't know the characters well enough at ALL to have preferences, so I'm going purely on the pretty right now, so you're really going to be taking your chances with this section. ^_^;; Eventually I'll branch out into fic, though, because people like Becky Tailweaver and Icka M. Chif and Ysabet are writing for the series--I love their work in other fandoms. ♥

: DNAngel Fanworks Recs - Sadly, almost no fanart for this series seems to exist in the J-fanart world (except for, like, one site), but I will keep hunting, dammit. I also tend not to read a lot of fic because I'm a Dark x Krad fangirl and an uber-picky Satoshi/Daisuke fangirl. I don't mind Daisuke/Riku, it's very cute even, but it doesn't make my heart go pitter-pat. This section is slightly bigger than I would have thought (mostly because I like several of the DNAngel authors and can read their work without being overly familiar with the series), but still terribly small at the same time. So mostly gen and a little yaoi on the side here.

: Dragonball/Z/GT Fanworks Recs - I've read a lot of DBZ fanfic and I'm glad I eventually gave this series a chance, because some of it is damned amazing fic. This series has some of the most amazing truly epic fic that I've ever seen. Plus, I'm another one of those dippy Vejiita/Bulma 'shippers. I've also dabbled in DBZ fanart (half from western fandoms, half j-fanart) because there's some absolutely adorable stuff out there... though, that tends to be more mixed, since I go for the pretty over my favorite pairings. Except that it'll probably still be Vejiita/Bulma focused. Sort of. Almost pure het, some gen, occasional dashes of Trunks/Goten yaoi. ....shut up.

: E'S (Otherwise) Fanworks Recs - I... I was very fond of the E'S manga (despite not having had a chance to read much of it) before the anime came out and I had really high hopes for the series. And for the first couple of episodes, I was in love, it was all shiny and pretty and so much fun. Then... wow, did the series start to get annoying. I hated Asuka (I wasn't very fond of Kai, either, but I could at least stomach the idea of Kai/Shin-lu and actually find it really kinda cute.) and Yuuki and Eiji (and maybe Maxim) were the only decent characters in the bunch. So why do I have an E'S section? ....fanart? I dunno. But I still have a strong fondness for the manga and I still basically sort of like the characters, so I'm hopeful that decent fanworks may exist somewhere?

: Earthian Fanworks Recs - Despite my wanting to bash Chihaya's head against a rock for being such a dipwad to Kagetsuya (who deserves so much better +___+), occasionally a fic comes along that makes me remember why I liked this series and this pairing so much in the first place. Because when Chihaya realizes what he has with Kagetsuya... then I'm just like the next dippy yaoi fangirl and am completely in love. Yaoi, of course.

: Escaflowne Fanworks Recs - As with many, many things, this one started with J-fanart. I was innocently browsing my way through sites, saw an Esca link and had to follow it. I found prettypretty art and banged my head against the table because I have yet to see past the third episode. But... well, I know myself and I know my penchent for prettypretty art and I have my eye on a few English fics, so... might as well cave now rather than putting them on the misc section and having to sort them out later. Will probably be mostly het and maybe some gen because I like Van/Hitomi, but I honestly don't know the series well enough to have biases yet. So... take your chances, I guess?

: (Shin Seki) Evangelion Fanworks Recs - Nagisa Kaworu kicked off an incredible Eva obsession with me for a long, long time, which eventually starved out because there wasn't much fic for KaworuxShinji and there wasn't much to do with the character considering the events of the anime. Unfortunately, I haven't met the right fic to spark me back into falling in love with this series all over again, so this section remains lonely and quiet for now. Will be mostly yaoi, occasional gen. Maybe.

: Eyeshield 21 Fanworks Recs - This one was pretty random for me, I just happened to pick up the manga, start reading, and absolutely fell in love with the batshit humor and promptly needed more. Which meant that I had to seek out fanart, as the E-fandom is pretty quiet. I tend to lean towards Hiruma/Sena, if for no other reason that that's some of the better fanart out there, but I also have a strong fondness for Shin/Sakuraba right now, and I'll probably change my mind a bunch of times in the course of feeling the series out. Yaoi, het, gen, whatever.

: FAKE Fanworks Recs - This section will be almost purely fic as I'm not sure FAKE fanart exists, beyond a few random illustrations scattered across the web. Unfortunately, the fic side of this fandom is also rather anemic, so this section will likely always be small. Which I bitch about a lot, mind. XD Occasionally, some gems do sneak through, though, and I try to read as much as I can to find them. But with not a lot of good fic to encourage me, sometimes it gets difficult. >_> Yaoi, of course.

: Full Metal Alchemist Fanworks Recs - FMA is one of those series that I was up and down with a lot, I seem to run either extremely hot or extremely cold with the series. When I started, there was almost no English fandom and then I came to really fall in love with the FMA J-fanart, so there'll probably always be more of that here than fic, but god knows I pounce on any Havoc/Hawkeye fic and have such incredible love for the RoyEd. Which is the lion's share of what I'll be rec'ing here because they're my favorite. Well, and because more people don't write Al/Winry and that makes me WEEP. Occasionally, I'll branch out into other pairings and there's a lot of gen (almost as much as there is RoyEd ♥), but... well, yes. At this point, if I'm going to go back, it'd better kick some serious ass or give me smoochies for my favorite pairings. ^_~ Split fairly well between yaoi and gen, but some nice het mixed in as much as I can.

: Fruits Basket Fanworks Recs - Eeee! Fruits Basket! Such a lovely series, a nice selection of pretty, pretty fanart, yet so little good fic. I'm in several camps here--I like gen fic, I like het fic, I like yaoi fic... I just want good stuff. Y'know. For the pairings I'll read. The really, really good stuff. But I'm lazy when it comes to actually poking at the fandom and trying to find fic to read, so I usually end up recommending only shorter little stories. I also tend to be focused on two things with Furuba--Kyouru and Mabudachi yaoi... or else prettypretty fanart, since there's some absolutely stunning fanart for this series out there. Anyway. Yaoi, het, and gen.

: Gad Guard Fanworks Recs - ....I don't know why I'm giving Gad Guard its own section, rather than putting it in the miscellaneous section, all I can figure is that I'm overreaching. >_> At any rate, Gad Guard is one of those silly little series that I couldn't help but like because I ♥'d Katana and it was just... fun. I'm not really very picky about fanworks for this series--I'm not particularily hyped on the potential het pairings and I'm not particularily hyped with the potential yaoi pairings, I'd actually like to see more gen than anything. It's not a very big section right now, will probably be largely just fanart, but... well, yes. >_>

: Gankutsuou Fanworks Recs - I took to this series almost immediately and I think it may just be the best done series of the season. Sure, the art took half an episode to get used to, but the writing and plotting and pacing has been utterly fabulous and I'm terribly entranced by the characters and the story. This means that I had to immediately seek out fanart, because I needed more in between episodes coming out. I'm largely, largely attracted to Monte Cristo/Albert, but I like both characters seperately as well, because I honestly like them. I also can very much see Franz/Albert in the anime and that'll probably pop up a lot on art sites. (Which will make up the bulk of this section, I suspect, since this may be a quiet series fic-wise.)

: Get Backers Fanworks Recs - GetBackers was all the rage for quite some time and there was a solid amount of fanfic put out... just not that much that really caught my attention. Despite that the main pairing of the fandom was my beloved BanGin and despite that there were several very talented authors writing for the series, it still felt like I never really had all that much fic to read. Going back later, after over a year of not touching the series, the fandom never really grew that much. But there's a nice little cache of BanGin fic to read and maybe someday I'll read the gen fic, too. ^_~ I rarely branch out, though, because the kind of thing I want to see is rarely written.

: Gintama Fanworks Recs - Do you know how many times I saw J-fanart for this series and had to pass by with not much more than a cursory look because I had no idea about the series, other than that it had pretty boys in uniforms? Then I finally learned what the damn name of the series was, promptly downloaded all the scanslations that were out, tore through it, and am now attempting to devour the fanart with an actual idea of who the characters are. I'm going to be all over the map with this one, while I prefer Hijikata/Okita, I also am kinda leaning towards Gin/Katsura and, really, so long as it's pretty or has boys in uniforms in it, I'll probably pounce on it. Going to be almost pure j-fanart because I don't think it has an English fandom. Also probably mostly yaoi with occasional het.

: Gokusen Fanworks Recs - For a long time I didn't really know why I had a Gokusen section, I'd only watched about half of the anime, I'd just barely started on the manga, and I'd hardly touched the drama. But I was draw to the Shinkumi pairing pretty hard almost immediately and, as time goes by (and now that I'm more familiar with the anime and manga), I'm all over this series. It's not a big fandom and it's pretty exclusively Shinkumi, but that is exactly what I want. ♥ The majority of this section will be focused on the manga since that's what I'm familiar with, but I think you could be a drama-only fan and read the fic just fine (as well as several people writing drama-based fic!), hence putting this in both sections.

: Gravitation Fanworks Recs - Oooh, Gravitation is one of those series that ate my brain the minute Ochiba originally subtitled the episodes. I waited all aquiver for the next episode to be released and promptly watched it the second I got my hot little hands on it. Partially for the promise of a shounen ai relationship, partially because I liked the characters, and partially because I thought it was genuinely funny in so many places. I fell hard and fast for one Yuki Eiri and his relationship with Shuuichi. Eventually, I branched out (I especially love good Tohma x Mika and Hiro x Ayaka is an all-too-rare treat) and would like to find more for them, but Eiri will always be my heart and soul with this series. I will always want more of him and his relationships with the people around him.

: Gundam 00 Fanworks Recs - After Wing and then SEED, I wasn't sure I'd need another Gundam series in my life, especially one I wasn't sure of. But I was in the mood to try it out one day and kinda fell pretty hard for it. I doubt this section will ever be as big as the other two, I'm more into this one for its own sake (the canon rather than the fandom) and when I do go searching for fandom, I'm gonna be pretty much all about Tieria and mostly Lockon/Tieria. Which is popular enough, but probably not enough to make a huge section out of. Still, I get cravings once in awhile and there's some really beautiful fanart out there. And who knows! I might even find Setsuna/Marina art I like, too! *__*

: Gundam SEED Fanworks Recs - Originally, I was very much, "Pft. So not as good as Wing, no matter how much doujinshi it produces." And I didn't care for it that much. Then, okay, Ashuran/Cagalli was cute. Then, oh, I suppose Kira/Lux is cute. And somewhere along the line, when I wasn't looking, the series went, "Mmm, fangirl brains~ I'm hungry~! *CHOMP*" and hasn't given it back yet. ;_____; So I've taken to scouring for fanart all over the place (I'd like to read more fic, but most of it kinda makes my head bleed) and I've amassed quite a bit of it by now. Occasionaly, pretty yaoi sneaks in, but I found myself wibbling mainly over the het pairings this time around, so most of it will be focused on Ashuran/Cagalli and Kira/Lux. And Dearka/Millie if I can find it. +__+

: Gundam Wing Fanworks Recs - This section will probably always be fairly small given two things--I've been out of the GundamW fandom for over three years (only occasionally sliding back in) and there are far, far bigger recs archives out there that are far more comprehensive than I could ever be. I will simply just stumble over stuff I like every once in awhile and shove it up here, this will never be a guide to the fandom by any means. Fic: Yaoi and gen, largely going to be 1x2 focused. Art: All over the map. I love 1x2, but there will be 1xR recs in here, because I love Relena and they have the best Relena art. Occassionally gen for both will make it's way in, but I'm a pairing fangirl at heart.

: Gungrave Fanworks Recs - Well, for once, it wasn't the Japanese artists that made me get a section for this series, it was the English artists. ^_~ I found an artist or two that I liked and I have my fingers crossed for fic, so.... Right now, I'm open for just about anything, because there's so little in the way of fanworks, that I can't be picky. I mean, I would love some good HarryxBrandon, but given that there doesn't seem to be any English fic in existance, I doubt that exists yet. *pouts* But I also wouldn't mind gen, since I rather like the series as a whole. I probably won't ever be too fond of the het unless it's done really pretty or I change my mind later. So... yeah, I have no idea where this section is going. XD;;;

: Hana Yori Dango Fanworks Recs - Admittedly, I watched the drama first and tended to skew towards that version, but I've read a fair amount of the manga and genuinely like it, so I'll read manga fic because I'm at the point where I can take the canons seperately, each for their own merits. (Hence being linked both on the manga and drama indices.) Most of the Hanadan fic I'll rec will actually be mangaverse, but you could probably be a fan of the drama and still read it just fine, I think. I OTP the hell out of Tsukasa/Tsukushi and 90% of the fic I read will be about them, either apart or together. Occasionally, I'll read Soujirou/Yuuki or Soujirou/Akira and I still pine for one good pre-series Rui/Tsukasa, but for the most part... yeah, Doumyouji/Makino Forever. ♥

: Hanazakari no Kimi-tachi e Fanworks Recs - What to say about Hanakimi? It's a very small English fandom (and practically non-existant in J-fandom as far as I can tell) and a great majority of the fics I rec are stories that I directly nagged people into writing. (Because I can't very well rec my own fic and I probably write more for the Akiha/Umeda pairing than anyone else right now.) While I like the entire series, I tend to focus mostly on Akiha/Umeda because they've become a fascination of mine. I'll read other stuff once in awhile, I do have several Sano/Mizuki recs, I have a soft spot for many other pairings (Azuma/Seira! Nakatsu/Julia!), but AkiUme will be the main focus of my recs. As you will soon see, Hanakimi is one of those Great Loves of My Fandom Life. *sheepish*

: Hellsing Fanworks Recs - Hellsing is one of those series that I watched over a short period of time, went, "WHOA. THAT WAS FUCKING COOL. *HEARTS*" and promptly went in search of fanart. I found some absolutely amazing stuff and rec'd it. The fic side of the fandom kinda sucked (ha, ha, no pun intended >_>) so I never really got very far into it. By this point, I'm pretty well burnt out on the series, but if nothing else, this'll give you a good place to start? Some het and gen.

: Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Fanworks Recs - I saw a ton of fandomsecrets posts about this series and it seemed like there was a general buzz about it in fandom. So, I started watching it. And I'm only a little ways into the first season, but around the end of 2007, I really needed to do a bunch of recs to meet my goal and there was all this really gorgeous Higurashi fanart just waiting for me.... So, this section is pretty much pure fanart and will be that way for awhile. I'm really easy, I'll look at whatever I happen to stumble over, whether het or yuri or yaoi. As long as it's pretty, I want it!

: Hikaru no Go Fanworks Recs - Hikaru no Go is one of those series I practically gorged myself on when I would catch up with the episodes and watch in nine to eleven episode runs. Then I would devour the fanart, because there was some stunning stuff for it out there. Some of those Akira/Hikaru sites where just amazing. I also had a strong, strong love of Kaga/Hikaru (....which I may still have a bit of a weakness for) and Mitani/Akari and Ogata. So... yeah, this wound up being a mix of a lot of different things. Yaoi and gen, maybe a little het if I can find it. Naturally, the rest of you bastards didn't get into the fandom until I was well out of it, but this should at least get a person started. I hope.

: Houshin Engi Fanworks Recs - Houshin Engi is one of those series that I've been aware of for a long time, have seen a lot of fanart for here and there, but never really got into too much. I barely know any of the characters' names even. >_> Most of these recs are going to be combination sites--where I stumbled over the site for a different series, but recognized that there was some pretty HE fanart there, so I snagged and rec'd it here. Eheh. At least it'll get you started? (One day I will read the series and actually know the characters' names and the storyline. No, really.) Yaoi and some gen.

: Howl's Moving Castle Fanworks Recs - I'd heard of Howl's Moving Castle before the Ghibli movie came out, but I'd never really read the book or knew much about the series until I finally sat down to watch the movie, as I was in a very Ghibli mood one weekend. I really quite liked it, took a fancy to Howl's character, and decided to read the book. After which I further fell in love with the character and the Howl/Sophie relationship and immediately began to seek out fic and art. This section probably won't ever be that big, the fandom's not that large even after the movie, but there'll be an even mix between fic and Japanese fanart, I would say. Almost all of it will be Howl/Sophie, what with the giant OTP they are and all. ^_~

: Hunter x Hunter Fanworks Recs - Hunter x Hunter doesn't seem to be popular on either side of the ocean, so this section is still pretty tiny. However, there are a handful of nice fics for the series and some really cute fanart out there. I am definitely in the Killua/Gon and Leorio/Kurapika camps, but I like gen friendship, too. And Hisoka. Oh, how I adore Hisoka. <333 I'm not opposed to the idea of Hisoka/Gon or Hisoka/Illumi, but... they're not necessarily my passion, either. Or else they're often times done really badly (Hisoka/Gon, I am LOOKING AT YOU.) and thus leave me feeling... 'err, yes, I'll just be getting back to the gen now, kthx' afterwards. *coughs* Yaoi, some gen.

: Initial D Fanworks Recs - Yet another shounen series that ate my brain when I was least expecting it. It started out so sweet and innocent, just a silly little racing show. And, okay, the bishounen were all right, not gorgeous, but appealing enough, since I wasn't watching for the art anyway. And it wasn't until halfway through the series before I was going *____* over Takahashi Ryousuke and Takumi's staring-off-into-space over him. And a new pairing obsession was borng. <3 I can read gen for this series and will sometimes... I just don't want to. *waves RyouTaku banner madly* Yaoi, yaoi, yaoi. Some gen. Read grudgingly.

: Inu-Yasha Fanworks Recs - Don't expect much from this section because I don't think I'll ever be a major IY fan (if only because nothing is ever resolved in the series, the same story just keeps going and going and going and nothing changes at the end of the stories), so this will be rather haphazard of a section. That said, I tend to definitely fall in line with Inuyasha/Kagome, but I have a weakness for Miroku/Inuyasha and anything with Fluffy-sama, so long as it's not romantic with Rin. >_> Yeah, yeah, I grudgingly admit that it's probably there, but still. This section will be largely focused on Inuyasha himself, whether gen, het, or yaoi.

: Juuni Kokki Fanworks Recs - Juuni Kokki is one of those series where I honestly don't really feel the need for fic, so there probably won't be much here, especially since I'm not really fond of pairings with the series. (Which, I gotta say, shocked the hell out of me.) Though, I can easily see where other people get them. I just likeses the pretties artses is all. ^_~ That and Tai-ou. God, I fell hard for him. *___* Will be mostly gen, occasional dashes of het and yaoi on the art sites.

: Katekyou Hitman REBORN! Fanworks Recs - REBORN! is one of those series that I had been seeing around forever and Vikki was on at the time I started reading the first few chapters and it all just sort of combined together and I started reading and promptly fell instantly in love. I dove straight into the fandom, heading right for the fanart (and a little bit of fic that was around at the time, which has turned into a LOT of fic now) and within a couple of weeks, I already had a rather insanely huge amount of stuff. I don't plan to stop any time soon. For now, this section will mostly be fanart links with a little bit of fic, mostly focusing on Dino/Hibari, Tsuna/Gokudera, and whatever else happens to be popular in the fandom.

: KareKano Fanworks Recs - I'd heard of KareKano before, but I'd never gotten too much into the series because there never seemed to be the right time/energy for it. Then I was wandering through my library, saw they had the first seventeen volumes available, decided what the hell I'll check 'em out, and promptly devoured them. I very, very much like Arima/Miyazawa, but I also fell extremely hard for Hideaki. Hideaki/Arima/Yukino is probably one of the few true OT3s I ship, one of the few trios that I feel like each side of the triangle has its reason for being there. I also like whatever was canon for the rest of the series, but my main focus (which will be small, since the fandom seems to be tiny) will be on those three.

: Kenran Butoh Sai: The Mars Daybreak Fanworks Recs - I probably really shouldn't be giving this series its own section, but, what the hell. I want to eventually go through some of the art sites out there and maybe someday someone'll write fic. As it stands, I don't really have any pairings, so I'm open to anything, whether het, yaoi, or gen, but if I had a choice... I'd probably go for Yagami/Grahm, just because they're my two favorite characters. Shush. So, I don't know what to expect here, 'cause I doubt I'll find more than one or two sites for that pairing.

: Kodomo no Omocha Fanworks Recs - Another series that I didn't think that I'd be able to find enough for to make its own catagory (or even enough to put it in the miscellaneous section), but then the 30_kisses comm came along and there was just enough fic for me to be able to justify giving it its own section. It'll probably always be very small, as I don't feel a huge drive to find Kodocha fics, but if I stumble across the ones I like.... Will probably almost exclusively Hayama/Sana as well.

: Koko wa Greenwood Fanworks Recs - Unfortunately, the Greenwood fandom is very, very small. Fortunately, what is out there is often times rather good, so this section will at least get you started. Like the seeming rest of the fandom, I fell head over heels for Shinobu x Mitsuru and their complicated, layered, surprisingly subtle relationship. I like all of the characters, but those two always have been and always will be my favorites. Yaoi, yaoi, and a dash of gen. If I run out of yaoi. ^_~

: Kyou Kara Maou Fanworks Recs - WHERE IS MY FANART, HUH? It's taken me this long just to find a small handful of art sites and I WANT MORE. *huffs* Given that this series is very much geared towards shounen ai, it shouldn't come as any surprise that this section'll be mostly yaoi/shounen ai. >:D However, I'm a huuuuuuuuuuge fan of Konrad/Yuuri (which is what most of the J-fanart sites seem to be geared towards) and rarely venture outside of it. Occasional Wolfram/Yuuri art sneaks in and I'm desperate for anything Gwendal/Gunther (OMG GIVE IT NOW), but it's going to mostly be Konrad/Yuuri, I suspect.

: Last Exile Fanworks Recs - I always wondered why Last Exile didn't get more of a fan following, it was such a pretty series and had some really wonderful characters. I almost had to put these recs into the miscellaneous section, until I found a couple of pretty fanart sites and then Shi-chan-tachi started writing fanfic (and, omg, there's actually Vincent/Sophia fic, which I'd been PINING for! *___*) and suddenly there was enough to make a section for! Note: This section will probably often contain spoilers for the ending of the series, so I'd suggest waiting until you finish before you start clicking around.

: Love Mode Fanworks Recs - I honestly never expected this series to have enough of an English fandom for me to be able to give it its own section--it's a yaoi manga and as popular as it seems to be, those rarely get more than a handful of fics in English. But there are a handful of writers writing for this series and writing beautifully, which makes me sparkle like mad. I tend to favor anything with Kiichi (especially HaruKii) or Takamiya (since they're my favorite characters), but who could possibly resist pretty much any of the main pairings? ^_~ I. Um. Also want Reiji/Kiichi. And Tien Lee/Kiichi. Plz don't kill me. Yaoi, yaoi, yaoi, of course.

: LOVELESS Fanworks Recs - So. A couple years back, I attempted to read the LOVELESS manga and it just did not stick, whatsoever. The translations made no sense, the art did little for me, and the storyline held little pull. Fastforward to when the anime is announced and finally starts airing, I'm still a little reluctant, but give the first episode a shot. OMG SO PRETTY THE STORY ACTUALLY MAKES SENSE NOW THE ART IS SO PRETTY OMG SOUBI I LOVE YOU I MUST HAVE MORE OF THIS SERIES NOW WHEEEEE. Which really about sums up my reaction to this series. Now all I need is fic/art. +__+ Will largely be yaoi-friendly, but the series is rather complicated, so it may actually swing closer to gen-friendship-verging-on-yaoi sort of yaoi? But small, because I don't like the way most of the fandom writes the Ritsuka/Soubi relationship, which is totally my OTP. In that order.

: Matantei Loki Ragnarok Fanworks Recs - You know, I just can't decide what kind of fan I am of this series--am I a het fan? A gen fan? A yaoi fan? A little of all three? I guess that last one is probably most accurrate. *grumbles* Not that I've gotten much chance to figure that out, since this fandom is so small. But I do like some het (*waves NarukamixMayura banner*) and some yaoi (*waves bigger LokixNarukami banner*), but I also like gen. And I'll read outside my usual pairings (Heimdall and Loki, I'M LOOKING AT YOU) if the writing is good enough. So, yeah. Yaoi, het, and gen.

: Megami Kouhosei Fanworks Recs - I was actually aware of this series before it hit Cartoon Network, but, sadly, that's what actually kicked me into watching the series. And, of course, MY favorite characters, the yaoiboy one, dies. *huffs* Stupid series. So... yeah. I like yaoi. I'm not crazy about the het for this series. And, yes, I like HiedxZero, dammit. But I go over the moon for GareasxErnest. <333

: Meine Liebe Fanworks Recs - Originally, the Meine Liebe recs went into the miscellaneous catagory because I had too many sections scattered around the site as it was, but when I have two or three and plans for more, that's when I cave and give the series its own section. I don't expect there to be much for this catagory, it's a silly little 13-episode series that I forget most people will have forgotten in a year or two, but... for now, I'm quite enjoying the Orphe x Ed and Ludwig x Naoji and would like more of them, please. <3 Will probably be almost exclusively yaoi.

: MeruPuri Fanworks Recs - Merupuri is one of those series that I never would have read without Meg ordering encouraging me to do so, but I'm very glad she did because it's an awesome series that has every single retarded shoujo cliche in it pretty much ever. And I actually like the characters and the art is gorgeous in places and I frequently wind up laughing so hard I'll cry. Hino was brilliant with this series, she walked the line between parody and making me actually care about the characters and was insanely clever about all the little things she packed in. Like every single shoujo cliche EVER. It was glorious. ♥ I mostly stick to Aram/Airi and Rei/Jeile with the fandom, but... well, it's small enough that I'll read just about whatever I can find. :D

: Mirage of Blaze (Honou no Mirage) Fanworks Recs - I was, of course, immediately attracted to the Mirage of Blaze series because of the style of the anime being semi-similar to CLAMP's work on X (especially Naoe hitting my Seishirou buttons) and because of the lure of shounen ai. Eventually, though, I found a series that I liked enough for itself to read a little fic and find a little art. The fandom on both sides of the pond seem to be terribly small, so this'll never be a big section, but there's at least enough to give it its own. ♥

: Mushishi Fanworks Recs - You probably shouldn't expect much from this particular section, despite that I've looked all over the fandom for fic and art for it. Mushishi is one of those series that's sort of on the border of fandom, I love it enough that I crave more, but it's so beautifully done on its own that it leaves little room for fans to fill in the edges. You can find about enough here that'll occupy a couple of hours of your time, though, just enough for one whirlwind weekend of Mushishi stuff at least? I pretty firmly lean towards gen with a slice of het on the side, though, yaoi wouldn't make me run screaming... but that hasn't really been put to the test, the fandom is pretty quiet and seems to be largely gen.

: Nabari no Ou Fanworks Recs - Nabari no Ou is one of those series that made a splash for awhile and seemed like it was the hot new series. But somehow it just sort of... never fully took off the way it should have, which surprises me because it has one hell of a super gay OTP. And ninja antics! I just don't get it. XD So, this section will be small because fandom is small, but I'll seek out as much fic/art as I can find. I don't really have a hard OTP for this series, I'll read just about anything, which is mostly Yoite/Miharu, with some occasional Raikou/Gau and some gen.

: NANA Fanworks Recs - I fell extremely hard and fast for NANA and practically mainlined it for a few days to tear through all the manga as fast as I could. I'm a little torn, part of me desperately wants fic for the series, something to take the edge off the hurt, something to give me my fix in between chapters. But part of me also wants to leave the series untouched because it's such a beautiful manga that doesn't need any holes patched up. But. I'm also a desperate, lonely, OTP girl for Takumi/Nana-chan and thus I caved and totally started reading fic. And begging fic off my flist. >_>a

: Naruto Fanworks Recs - Once upon a time, this section was horribly unbalanced, probably something like 85% KakaIru-centric and 15% a mishmash of everything else. Now, it's still very much in favor of the KakaIru pairing (so run now if that's not your thing? ^_~), but it's also got strong sections for a lot of other pairings/no pairings, to the point I think it may be of use to non-KakaIru fans now, too. There's still a very high Kakashi concentration in just about everything I rec, but I also gravitate strongly towards Jiraiya/Tsunade, Lee/Sakura, Sasuke/Naruto, Kakashi/Rin, and character pieces about the rest of the cast. It's all broken down pretty well, so you should be able to at least find something you like?

: Natsume Yuujinchou Fanworks Recs - I gave this anime a shot almost on a whim, because the art looked really pretty for it. I was pleasantly surprised to find a wonderful little series here, one that I was genuinely enjoying and looking forward to more of. The art is indeed really lovely and while I don't have much drive for fic from the series, I kind of craved fanart. There hasn't been much that I've been able to find so far, but there are a handful of sites out there that have some really fantastic stuff, plus a search engine, so I'm hopeful that it might eventually get more attention. It's just so cute and funny and pretty! <3

: One Piece Fanworks Recs - With One Piece, I tend to be all over the map. My favorite is Zoro/Sanji, but I also have a strong soft spot for Luffy/Nami and gen fics make me shiver with happiness. If I had my druthers, I'd probably read gen beyond anything else, I think, but all that pretty Zoro/Sanji fanart makes me shimmer and burble happily. So, there'll be gen, yaoi, and even the occasional het (I like Luffy/Nami and Zoro/Nami both), all depending on my mood and what I find. The OP fandom tends to be rather small Western-side, but the j-fandom is quite, quite large and I like to mine for pretty fanart from them.

: Ookiku Furikabutte Fanworks Recs - This one is measuringlife and Anita's fault, because they both read the manga and really liked it a lot and I'd seen it around and, well. Peer pressure. :< I am weak to it. But it's a REALLY FUN little series that's got a delightful OTP and a crapload of gay and some very sweet fic written about it and a handful of nice art sites. I want to get deeper into the series and I suspect I will eventually, but for now, this section is pretty small. It'll get you started and I'll probably be mostly focused on Abe/Mihashi all the time, but. I'm just getting started, too.

: Ouran Koukou Host Club Fanworks Recs - Host Club was a manga that latched its claws into me faster than I would have ever suspected. I read the first volume in scans (before the anime came out, so I've been disappointed in the anime version of the series a lot D:), quickly decided I had to own the rest of the series, hit up Amazon.com, and read them all in about three days. I love this manga for mocking shoujo cliches yet still making me care about every last one of those characters. I focus mostly on fic here, but there's a few art sites to be found as well. My favorites are Kyouya/Tamaki, Kaoru/Hikaru, and Mori/Haruhi, but you'll also find... well, pretty much if it got a manga cover, I'm fond of it. Mostly.

: Outlaw Star Fanworks Recs - While there's a lot of fic on FFNET for OLS, I've not really delved too deeply into the fandom. If you've ever taken a stroll through the FFNET catagory, you probably know why. >_> The idea of Gene/Jim isn't my thing, the idea of Gene/Melfina isn't my thing (*firmly a fan of Harry/Melfina*), and I'm a Fred Luo fangirl, so this section tends not to get updated until one of my favorite authors in another fandom writes fic for the series. So, this one will be mostly yaoi and gen and the occasional bit of het if I can find Harry/Melfina fics I like. >_>

: Peace Maker Fanworks Recs - Ahh, Peace Maker, for a series that started out so obsessively with me, you certainly burned out quickly. I still love the series and I will still read fic for the characters and I will still look for art for the series, but... it's not a flaming, bright passion with me. Even after I marathoned the anime, I never felt much of an urge to go on a fic spree... I love the seres and characters dearly, but something didn't quite click 100%. Still, every so often.... Yaoi, yaoi, yaoi, of course, but mostly Hijikata x Souji. ♥

: Prince of Tennis Fanworks Recs - Wow, um. Where to start, eh? With Prince of Tennis, I'm pretty well all over the map, I like just about anything (with a handful of exceptions); yes, the section will largely be yaoi-centric, but I also like some het and I'll pounce just as fast on gen. Tezuka x Fuji is going to make up the lion's share of this section... well, okay, Tezuka x Just-About-Anyone is going to make up the majority of this section, but I do occasionally branch out. (....you decide how much of that is serious and how much I'm just kidding about. XD) Yaoi, het, gen, whatever, I'm too obsessed to care. ♥ I've mostly slid out of the fandom these days, but this section is still the biggest on my site, I think, which means you'll have plenty to get you started if you're a new fan.

: Princess Tutu Fanworks Recs - There's not a lot of fic for this series, unfortunately (though, it's one of those series that doesn't really need fic, I don't think), so I tend to be more focused on the fanart here. I originally started out as a FakiaxMute fan (and I still am!), but the more I watched the series, the more I found my heart really wanted FakiaxAhiru... and it seems like the J-fen agree with me, so there's a fair amount of fanart here. Yaoi, het, and gen, but probably mostly het... it depends on what I can find.

: Ranma 1/2 Fanworks Recs - Ranma 1/2 is a series I have an odd relationship with... I sort of come back and fade away from it a lot, largely because I don't have much patience for the fic unless it's writing that's so perfect it makes your teeth hurt. I also like Ranma x Akane--while the other characters are interesting, it was those two that stole my heart away completely with this series. They're exactly what I look for in a couple and are alternately fun and genuinely touching. This section will probably always be small and almost pure het, simply because that's what I'm interested in.

: Rurouni Kenshin Fanworks Recs - Given that I'm only halfway through the manga and I still don't really have any ships in the series, I'm not sure why I'm reading even just one RK fic. But I want to eventually read them, I would especially be all over fics about Kenshin's Battousai past. It just. Probably won't. You know. Happen for quite some time, I've been terrible about reading manga lately. Still, I totally adore the series already and I love the dorky cast interaction and I'm fascinated by Kenshin. (I have no idea if I'll lean towards het or gen, but possibly het just because it's canon. Though, I'm not exactly running screaming from the idea of Kenshin/Sanousuke, either.)

: Sailor Moon Fanworks Recs - This section isn't nearly as big as I wish it were, since I tend to have really picky tastes (If I'm going to read UsaMamo fic, it needs to be perfect or else I'm going back to canon nine times out of ten) or else the pairings I like (Kunzite and Zoisite! *__*) aren't written very well or very often. But I slowly chip away at the fandom and occasionally find fanart...? I also have the occasional old favorite tossed in or drabbles written for one of the theme comms that happened to catch my attention. But this is certainly not going to be a good guide to the fandom, this is more just rounding out my own site than anything. Half het, half yaoi, occasional gen.

: Saiunkoku Monogatari Fanworks Recs - Saiunkoku Monogatari is one of those series that hit me hard and fast, I watched a handful of episodes and suddenly I was completely gone on it, tearing through the fandom as fast as I could. While the pages here are still a bit small, I think they'll eventually be really decent sized, both with fic and fanart. I tend towards just about anything with Kouyuu, whether gen het or gay, but I do like the other characters, too. Just. Kouyuu is clearly the fandom favorite and I'm so very much not complaining about that. There'll be a semi-even mix between gen, het, and gay here all over.

: Saiyuki Fanworks Recs - Saiyuki is a series that I never quite got pulled into all the way (until recently), but sort of keep it on my peripheral 'to read when I get the entire thing' list. I sort of poked at the anime for a long time, realized that it made me spitting mad when I read the manga, and then promptly intensely disliked 90% of the fandom. It's not that there's not talent there, it's just... yeah. Saiyuki is a series I love, a manga that I consistently put in my top ten, but I don't have much in the way of fandom to show for it because so few write my favorite character right.

: Samurai 7 Fanworks Recs - I was just somehow won over by this charming little story, for the endearing story it's telling, the sense of warmth I have for the characters, and just how... entertaining it is. As things stand (and could entirely change in the future :D), I mostly only want stuff with Katsushirou or maybe some character pieces for the others. But if it's Katsushirou/Kirara, I'll probably pounce on it. If it deals with the teacher/stundent thing with Katsushirou and Kambei, I will almost assuredly pounce on it. And there's gotta eventually be some fanart, right? *wibbles*

: Samurai Champloo Fanworks Recs - Samurai Champloo... I can't tell if it's a series that just hasn't gotten off the ground quite yet, is just difficult to write for, if people are waiting for it to finish, or if it's just not the type that inspires a fandom. Whatever the reason, this section is rather small, but I'm definitely interested. It'll probably be mostly fanart, since fic doesn't seem to exist much yet and I'll be all over the map. I'm not running screaming from the idea of het, I totally adore gen, and I really, really kinda like Jin/Mugen. >__>

: Scryed Fanworks Recs - Scryed doesn't really have an English fandom (and there are only a couple of fics that I've liked), but the Japanese fandom was fairly substantial and one of the first that I obsessed over the J-fandom with. (Which is fairly routine now, but this was one of my first, so it has a special place with me. ♥) This section will likely be almost pure yaoi since I liked RyuhouxKazuma mostly and the het pairing that I did like (KazumaxMimori--shut up, I know I'm weird) didn't get much attention. But there will also be a lot of gen mixed (because I liked Couger a lot) and some het, because some of the het art was beautiful.

: Sex Pistols Fanworks Recs - I. Uhm. I. Don't quite know why I like this. But given that the rest of my flist seems similarily infected by the cuteness of the series (which doesn't take itself too seriously, yet still provides interesting characters and a semi-interesting plot, for a yaoi manga at least), I suppose I don't feel too badly. I don't expect this section to take off, it's likely going to be one of those series that's very flash-in-the-pan, but... there's a bit of a fandom and any time I can get at least three recs for a series, I'm liable to give it its own section? Eheh. ^_^; Yaoi, of course.

: Shaman King Fanworks Recs - I never meant to seek out much for Shaman King, despite rather enjoying the manga that I've read. But then I stopped by some forums, happened to see a bunch of astonishingly gorgeous fanart posted and I thought, well, what would one night or so really hurt? I'd just spend a few hours looking, really... and I found a couple of sites that I thought were just tremendously gorgeous and then I got distracted by Final Fantasy VII fanart again, but. I know I'll eventually go back, I'll eventually start reading fic, etc. I hope to find either gen fanfic, Yoh/Anna fanfic, maybe some Ren fanfic, and fanart I'm okay with just about anything. But the j-fen seem fond of Horohoro/Ren, so that's probably what'll show up most often.

: Shoujo Kakumei Utena Fanworks Recs - Ahhh, Utena, how I adore you. However, given the allegorical nature of the series, I find it really difficult to get into fic for the series, which means I haven't recommended a lot. Though, what little I have read tends to be all over the place--one minute I'm reading Utena/Anthy, the next I'm reading Touga x Saionji, the next I'm reading about Ruka/Juri/Shiori, the next I'm reading a gen piece, the next I'm poking around to see if there's any fanart, and the next I'm back to Touga x Saionji. So, this section will be a mix of everything, het, yaoi, and gen.

: Skip Beat! Fanworks Recs - Skip Beat! is one of those fandoms where I really do love the characters (and the Ren/Kyouko pairing, which will be the majority of what I rec here) and adore it, but somehow the fandom has yet to completely click with me. I occasionally read fic, though, and some of it is really good and a handful of authors are great at capturing the sparkling craziness of the series. And I never turn down awesome craziness! Over time I'll slowly build this section up, it's getting more attention after the anime aired at least. And I'd love some fanart for it, but I'm not sure there is any j-fanart sites out there for it?

: Slam Dunk Fanworks Recs - This, like One Piece, is a series I am very, very slowly creeping my way towards because certain people in the fandom have made it very tempting for me to scoot my way over there. It'll take me awhile (especially with all the other anime series out there right now *__*), but I'll eventually get there and since I've already started doing art recs.... All I know for sure is that I really like RuHana so far (Ahahahahaha, how could I not? XD) but will probably branch out to other yaoi pairings as well. I don't know if I'll like the het or not, but there'll probably be some gen in here, too. ^_^v

: Slayers Fanworks Recs - It's a shame that I didn't start rec'ing stuff until after I was mostly done with the Slayers fandom (and I can never quite seem to drag myself all the way back), because there was some utterly amazing fic and art for these characters and I could have had a huge section. XD So if this section seems anemic, it's because I feel the need to reread before I rec a story and sometimes rereading those 1.5MB+ stories takes a bit of time. ~_~ I am largely a Zelgadiss fangirl, however, so this section mostly revolves around him; my favorite pairings being Lina/Zel (which gets some of the most fabulous fic written about it *starry eyes*) and Xellos/Zelgadiss, but I occasionally get totally geeked about gen fic. So, yeah, yaoi, het, and gen.

: Soukyuu no Fafner Fanworks Recs - I only had to see three episodes of this series before I knew I was going to be drawn into it. I'm not sure why it is, it's not like it's all that different from RahXephon or Evangelion as far as I can tell, yet... something about it calls to me. Having watched the entire series now, I'm still not sure precisely how Fafner puts little shines on the usual mecha series cliches, but I came away from it completely in love. I promptly headed for the fandom, though, it's a very tiny one, so this section will never be very large. (I did go on a fanart binge or two, however.) Naturally, I headed immediately for the Soushi/Kazuki, though, I'm quite open to gen and a handful of other pairings.

: Soul Eater Fanworks Recs - In a strange bit of timing, I picked up the Soul Eater manga just around the time the anime started, not knowing there was an anime, just being greatly intrigued by a bunch of oekaki art I'd seen on j-fanart sites and the discussion of it around LJ. What I found was a delightful little manga with some incredibly amazing characters and genuine partnerships between the boys and the girls and then some intriguing storylines and some really kind of smoking art and even an anime adaptation that I actually really, really like! At the current time, there's not much of a j-fandom or e-fandom, but I'm hoping that it'll at least develop into something bigger. Someday.

: Spiral Fanworks Recs - Admittedly, I know very, very little about this series right now (other than that it's pretty...?), but I want to finish it someday and I've already started checking out some of the fanart available for the series and found a few that I liked. So this section will be quiet for quite some time to come (especially since I don't have any idea what I'm going to be geared towards with the fandom) and may not ever really get off the ground because there are so many other series out there right now, but I wanted to put it up since I have at least a couple recs already. Will probably be a mixture of het and yaoi, dunno yet. >_>

: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann Fanworks Recs - Gurren Lagann had gotten a lot of hype in fandom in a year when not too many anime series were getting much buzz at all. I saw a lot of icons, I saw occasional fanart links, I saw a lot of secrets on fandomsecrets. I was curious, so I gave it a shot. The first few episodes were only sort of all right, but there had to be something that made people so nuts over it, right? So I kept watching. And Gurren Lagann just... it got me. Just completely, utterly got me. I immediately dove into the fandom, especially the fanart. The biggest section will be Kamina/Simon, since that's what people draw the most of, but I really like Simon/Nia as well, which has a small following for it. And I think Kamina/Yoko was certainly just fine and I'll seek out the major sites for that as well. And there's tons of gorgeous, gorgeous gen. ♥ I'm pretty much open to anything with this series, so hopefully, this will provide something of a balance.

: Tenjou Tenge Fanworks Recs - I didn't know if I would be won over by this series, despite the anime having a terribly addicting OP song (OMG watching Maya dance is the most fun thing ever XD), but then Takayanagi Masataka stole my heart away and hasn't given it back yet. I have yet to be able to find much fanart (that's not a oneshot), but there have been a couple of fics written so far, wheeeee~ I don't really have too many preferences right now, because I like the series all-around. I mean, I would totally love Takayanagi fic, but I'm at the point where I'll read anything, so, I have no idea what'll go here? XD;; Pretty much only het and gen, I suspect.

: Tenshi ni Narumon! Fanworks Recs - Wahhhhh, why don't more people write Tennimon fic, dammit? *HUFFS* You people need to get on the ball, it's such a cute little series and surprisingly genuinely touching! I adore the characters to tiny, tiny little bits and OMG CANON GAY! ^_~ (Okay, I kid with the level of enthusiasm, but RaphaelxMikael was pretty damn canon. ♥) I've found very little fanart for the series and very little fic, but some of what's out there is really cute. This section will be mostly yaoi, but with the occasional gen or het mixed in, depends on what I can find.

: Trigun Fanworks Recs - Ahhh, Trigun is one of those series that I never seemed to be able to have more than a wild fling with for some reason... I tore through the series like a thing posessed when I watched and combed over the fandom, but... I dunno, for some reason not much of the fic really clicked with me. Not that I looked super-hard, but nothing really quite caught beyond a few authors I recognized from other fandoms. There were a handful of authors that I really liked, but this section will always be fairly small, I think. Mostly yaoi, of the WolfwoodxVash and KnivesxVash types. Run now if you dislike either.

: Trinity Blood Fanworks Recs - I probably should be tossing these recs onto the misc page (which I never seem to use) but two things stop me--one, TB is one of the best anime of the current season and, two, I had an image I really wanted to use for an icon. From the looks of the series, it's probably going to head in a very het direction, but I'm not overly enthused with the girl yet, and I am all OVER Tres and Abel, so... well, yes. I'll probably be more lax with fanart, whatever is pretty, I'll try to find and rec, but fanfic will be more gen and/or Tres/Abel, I think.

: Tsubasa RESERVoir Chronicles Fanworks Recs - What can I say about Tsubasa? It's one of the few CLAMP series I'll actually read and follow, after my pissiness over what they did with their other series (basically, they dropped everything to run after the latest shiny toy) because 1) it's got Syaoran and Sakura and 2) it IS very pretty, very 'CLAMP meets Shounen JUMP' and 3) crossover characters abound! Plus, a handful of really good authors are writing for the series, so there's a little fic to read and maybe a little fanart on the side... anyway, a light, fun series/fandom that's very low-pressure. I like that. Will probably be mostly SxS here since I like them the most, I think. ♥

: Vampire Knight Fanworks Recs - I've been reading Vampire Knight pretty much since the first four chapters or so came out because I really loved Hino Matsuri's previous works (Merupuri is one of the best things ever) and while it's not my favorite of her works, it seems to be gearing up to be the most popular. The fandom is still small, but maybe with the anime coming out, it might attract more attention? I ship Zero/Yuuki for the most part, but Hino is so totally encouraging the Kaname/Zero and I just want one really good angry hatesex fic for them because it could totally work in the right context, imo. But, yeah. It's not a fandom I feel a strong urge to comb through, so this section will probably always be small.

: Viewfinder Fanworks Recs - I originally read this manga in late 2003 and didn't really think twice about it. Well, other than the whole film container thing, which certainly stood out in my memory. But I never realized that it had much popularity (despite being a Yamane Ayano work) until recently when I was browsing the Yamane-sensei comm and seeing fic and that there was a new Viewfinder series coming out (that I'd known about, but hadn't had much access to until then) and then I dove head-first into the fandom. Especially when I learned that Jenn-san was a fan as well, which always seems to feed me terribly. I generally lean towards Asami/Akihito, but I can be occasionally convinced of Asami/Fei Long. This section will be yaoi, of course.

: Weiss Kreuz Fanworks Recs - Ahhh, Weiss Kreuz, how I loved you and obsessed over you once upon a time, as you can see by the sheer size of this section. Not my biggest, but nothing to sneeze at, either. I, of course, liked yaoi with the series, because almost no gen was actually well-written. RanKen was my pairing of choice, but I had a strong love of Crawford x Schuldich and YoKen. I branched out a little, but if one of those three pairings isn't your favorite, you're probably not going to find much here. ^_~

: Wolf's Rain Fanworks Recs - Wolf's Rain... I never got too far into the fandom because those FOUR recap episodes in a row really killed the interest I had in the series. By the time the series picked back up again, I was bored and I rarely venture into a series if I haven't finished it (am still on episode 23) because I want to avoid spoilers. I mostly read a few cute, fluffy fics and wandered around for some fanart, so this section is rather small. It's almost pure yaoi (since there's little gen with the series), almost all of the Tsume x Toboe variety.

: X/Tokyo Babylon Fanworks Recs - Despite this section not being as big as I would like it to be (given the level of obsession I went through for this series >_>), this is one of the bigger sections on the site. I was with the TBX fandom for nearly a year and I was ravenous for SxS stuffs. However, I started doing recs a fair amount of time after I was into the series (Natalie Baan's "Sakura & Snow" fic was one of the reasons I started this whole project, actually), so it's never going to be as big as I wish it were. I'm all over the map with this series--I'm mostly an SxS girl, but I liked the occasional FxK or KxK or KamuixYuzuriha (THAT NO ONE WRITES, GODDAMN YOU *FISTSHAKE*) or Fuuma/Subaru or Sorashi or Kusanagi/Yuzuriha or anything involving Aoki or Seal interaction fic or some of my other pet crack pairings. So, het, gen, yaoi, whatever appealed to me at the time. But mostly SxS.

: xxxHOLiC Fanworks Recs - All right, all right, I cave on XXXholic. It was Yuuko (who is PURE EVIL ♥) that eventually made me cave, because she's such the typically fun CLAMP character that she reminded me of why I liked them in the first place. Well, that and the series finally got me to cave on being a hugely dippy Clow fangirl, so I have to like it for that. Mostly, this section will probably be pretty small since XXXholic is so obscure, but I would love, love to find more Clow/Yuuko fic. Or maybe the occasional fanart, but I don't hold out much hope. A lot of these recs may be crossed over into weird sections like the Cardcaptor Sakura section (since HOLiC is very likely set in the same world) or Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLES, since they were crossed over. It's... a complicated mess CLAMP's made here. But this section should hopefully be largely Yuuko-centric. <3

: Yami no Matsuei Fanworks Recs - Yami no Matsuei was another one of those series that was just mad about for a long time, so the recs page is pretty healthy, even if I started doing recs mid-obsession with the series, so it'll always be smaller than I wish it were. I'm a Hisoka fangirl with a laaaaaaarge side-helping of TatsumixWatari, so this recs page largely revolves around TsuzukixHisoka, MurakixHisoka, and TatsumixWatari (Eeee! My favorite! ♥) However, the fanart is split between Tsuzuki/Hisoka and Tatsumi/Tsuzuki because there's some gorgeous fanart for both. This section will be almost pure yaoi, but occasional dashes of gen will be mixed in.

: Yoroiden Samurai Troopers Fanworks Recs - YST is a very old series for me, but may still be the series I fell hardest for, ever. Prince of Tennis is getting up there, but I think YST still reigns champion in my black little fangirl heart. However, the fandom really kind of blooooooooooows. And sucks. At the same time. That's how bad it is. I find occasional fic I like, occasional fanart I like, but combined with the shitty fandom and the date of the series (thus not a lot of J-fanart sites still being around), this section is pathetic. I'd love to change it, but I fear the crappy fandom, I really do. Whatever's going to be here is mostly going to be yaoi, with occasional dashes of gen. Almost purely SeijixTouma, with the occasional RyoxTouma and maybe some RyoxShin/ShinxRyo.

: Yu-Gi-Oh Fanworks Recs - ....dude, I don't even know why, myself. All I know is that I stumbled across a fanart site that was ungodly pretty and I am a sucker for zee pwitty arte~~. Then I started exploring the links page and found a few other really top-notch sites... and thus this section was born. I read no fic (nor do I have an interest in doing so at this time, as I don't know the series and trying to watch the dub tends to make me remember why I generally dislike dubs) but fanart... well, whatever's pretty, be it het, yaoi, or gen. Though, mostly yaoi. >_>

: Yuu Yuu Hakusho Fanworks Recs - Yuu Yuu Hakusho was my very first anime love, the series that dragged me into the whole anime thing in the first place--I ordered my first fansubs for this series (back in the days when you actually had to get them by VHS, you whiny little brats who have your digisubs just HANDED to you *FANGS*) and learned all about this thing called 'anime'. And I immediately fell head over heels for HieixKurama and, to this day, I still adore them. However, I also, the more time I spent with the series, came to fall completely in love with YuusukexKeiko and... to be honest, if you gave me a choice between a good fic for either pairing... I'd probably go with the YuusukexKeiko, that's how much I adored them. So, het and yaoi and gen will all appear here. ^_^v
