- Avatar: The Last Airbender/Dragonball - [ English Fanart Site ] - I was browsing through dA tonight and I don't even remember how I got to this artist's page (probably seeing one of the Goku/Chichi illustrations on a favorites page somewhere) and stopped by out of curiosity. There's not a ton of art for these two series, but there's at least a really good handful and the main reason I want to recommend this account? This image right here. Zuko/Mai and a BAAAAAAAAAAAAABY OMG YES PLZ DO WANT. I-- I'm weak, okay? But the illustration is really lovely, it's the exact style that does it for me, both for the Avatar fanart and the Dragonball fanart, they're strong, clean lines and soft uses of color and really sharp. *__* Plus, two of my favorite pairings! You-- you can tell I was over the moon for this artist's style. XD B-but--! Goku and Chichi with hands on her stomach because the baby is kicking! I... have needs, all right? (Zuko/Mai for Avatar, Goku/Chichi for DBZ.)

- Avatar: The Last Airbender - [ English Fanart Site ] - This is another artist that doesn't really have a ton of art, but what's here really charmed the pants off me--the images of both Zuko and Azula with their mom (separately, that is) were especially welcome after the finale and, wow, there's a fantastic one of pissed off as hell Toph. I think I actually wound up liking the artist's b&w-esque art more than anything, it really showed off the lines better! I was originally drawn here by seeing the artist's Sokka/Suki illustrations, but I think I enjoyed the gen stuff even more. The doodle pages are especially fantastic. <3 (Some Sokka/Suki, a smidge of Aang/Katara, some gen.)

- Avatar: The Last Airbender - Water Trube AU Comic [ English Fanart Site ] - GenX pointed me towards this comic the other day and mentioned how addicting it was. I wasn't really sure what I was going to make of it or what I was going to find and it's not like Zhao was ever a character that I was that interested in. But it is addicting, the artist has done a lot of really interesting world building and a lot of really excellent details (while still keeping her own style) that make it fit with the Avatar universe and the Water Tribes in particular, while still spinning off something new of her own. It's kind of really need and it's very long and easy to get sucked into and have read fifty pages before you even realized it. Very cool. (No real warnings/pairings.)

- Avatar: the Last Airbender Fancomic - First Date - [ cover - page 01 - page 02 - page 03 - page 04 - page 05 - page 06 - page 07 - page 08 ] - I was browsing devART for Avatar fanart again and happened to stumble over this comic--it's not finished yet, but it's eight pages so far and I just. a sdl;kfja;lskjs it's all about Aang and Katara post-series and their first date and the author does an amazing job of capturing the newness of their relationship on this level, the nervousness they both feel, the way they have this great chemistry and connect despite both of them being fluttery, and it's just. It's perfect for the characters, right down to the background characters (Sokka and Toph and Suki are all utter joys in this) and the art that keeps the spirit of the original and it's just. It's so easy to see this fitting together perfectly with canon. I need more of it. (Aang/Katara.)

  - Avatar: The Last Airbender [ English Fanart Site ] - So, I'm a total sucker for Zuko/Mai art, especially when an artist uses all these dark reds and other burnt colors for the two of them (which they look fantastic in, of course) that fit with the Fire Nation's colors and so I was won over by that a lot. I really adored the artist's dress for Mai in this Zuko/Mai image or the patterns on her Queen's dress even if it's not the usual way I see Mai or on the two of them sitting under a tree or the pretty wedding clothes and so forth. The art might not be for everyone, but I can't help it. I'm charmed by patterns and color palettes and ship preferences that all work together, shut up! (Zuko/Mai.)
