- D.Gray-man - DIGITAL SCOOP side: D [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Hey! Scoop is doing D.Gray-man art! And, damn, it's really pretty art, the current top illustration (as of the time I was visiting the site) of Rabi is downright gorgeous. I'm not sure which of her art I like better, actually--the b&w sketches really show off how good her lineart is getting, that it's been tightening up ever since I first came across her early Prince of Tennis work, but the color stuff... man, her cel-style coloring with the more recent stuff is just awesome. I also have to profess much fondness for the way she often draws Rabi without his headband or in more normal street clothes, because it's not something I've seen all that often yet, but looks really good on him. And, oh, her Komui looks fantastic and... well, yes, much flailing over the art here. (Rabi/Allen mostly, with just a touch of Cross/Komui.)

- D.Gray-man - Zeolite [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Ooh, pretty Kanda! Right from the very first illustration I saw of a shirtless Kanda sitting on the ground and looking cranky pretty, I knew I was going to like this site and it certainly did not disappoint. The artist does a lovely job with Kanda, the lines of him looking just so very pretty, his hair looking really great, and just... yeah. I flap my hands in an inability to come up with better descriptions. I think my favorite has to be the really good 100,000 hits kiriban, as the detail of Kanda's uniform and the creature on his arm are just fantastic. But... well, yeah, I'm kind of a Kanda/Allen fangirl, so any time they were together, I was pleased as well, because the artist draws them really well. Blah, blah, blah, all the usual things, the artist keeps the feel of the manga art, the characters are pretty, scratches the itch, good fanart site, etc. *wry grin* Also, the comics were much fun and show off the artist's skill really well, I thought. (Some Allen/Kanda, maybe a little Ravi/Kanda?)

- D.Gray-man - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Another site where I don't know that I loved all of the images, but that there were enough really, really pretty ones of Kanda or Allen or Ravi that I couldn't help putting this site on the list. The artist also has that style that fits well with the manga and the characters--there's a series of the main characters in b&w that look just terrific, really cool poses/emotions coming through in the work there. I tended not to be as much of a fan of the colored stuff, somehow the style just works better in b&w and it seems like those where the ones that had more time taken with them, I suspect it's a combination of the two. Anyway. Very worth going to see the individual illustrations of the characters, especially Kanda and younger!Allen and that really neat one that's the current (as of the time I'm writing this rec) top illustration. :D (Some Kanda/Allen, maybe a little other shounen ai.)

- D.Gray-man - ALPHA [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - *___*!!! Oh, my god, I loved this site, the artist draws some really awesome art! Her Cross is just... wow, he is absolutely gorgeous and her lines are fabulous, his hair is gorgeous, and he's just... all-around attractive/beautiful. I mean, every character she draws is stunning (there's a beautiful one of Kanda early on or the lovely one of Allen looking melancholy with only the one wing or an adorable one of Allen and Rinali or the gorgeous illustration of Rinali that looks almost like a painting or--), but you can tell how much she really loves Cross by the way she draws him frequently and in such hot poses--nearly shirtless and the hat tilted over his face at the rakish angle? Yum. And, hell, I mean, I would have thought the idea of Cross/Allen would have freaked me out, that I would have run screaming, but the way she draws it... it's so pretty, Allen is so adorable, Cross is so gorgeous, the poses are so... they're the kind that not much has to be happening, yet it's terribly intimate and touching. Cross can just be touching Allen's face or there's just a certain look on the character's face. And, god, the comics are just insanely gorgeous in spots (the one between Cross and Rhode was stunningly drawn and inked, I think) and I was even squeeing like mad over the oekaki, just... everything on the site is so worth going through. (Mostly Cross/Allen, but a little other shounen ai with various characters can be found. Most major pairings are somewhere on the site.)

- D.Gray-man - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Not everything on this site is perfect, but when the artist really puts her mind into an image? She can produce some really gorgeous works--the stationery stuff is just beautiful (And the chibis! The chibi stationery! Omg, SO CUTE!), her group illustrations are just lovely, and her Kanda/Allen artwork does make me smile happily. There are occasionally must-see images on the site, like the chibi one of the scientists and Rinali that is the cutest thing ever, or an utterly beautiful one of Rhode or... well, any group image, really. I wound up going through the entire site and snatching just about everything up, so I think that's good enough for me to rec it, I'd say. ^_~ (Mostly Kanda/Allen, but a lot of Allen/Everyone.)

- D.Gray-man/Final Fantasy VII - LUMBER [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I originally came here for the FFVII fanart, but wound up staying more for the DGM fanart than anything. The FFVII stuff is pretty and you can tell the artist is talented and she uses these nice, vivid colors for the DC characters, a lot of Nero and Weiss. Her lines are clean and pretty and it was a nice little site to help poke at the Weiss/Nero corner of the fandom. Now, the DGM fanart on the other hand is kind of awesome. I was liking her art a lot from the first few illustrations I clicked on, lots of strong detail, good use of colors and perspective, strong overall concepts, etc. But then I got to this one Rhode illustration. asdlfkjaldsfjasdlkj, beautiful to me somehow. It's so... cutely colored, like a Halloween illustration with gears and candles and skulls and a broken hourglass, but somehow... because it's Rhode, it's still vaguely creepy. And there's a Tiki/Rabi illustration that should not be hot, but oh my god it IS. They're all blood-splattered and surrounded by chains and it's just so pretty. And asdlkjfalskjdfal;ksjdflksdj CROSS AND TIKI SO GORGEOUS. ....which is pretty much how this site affected me, as you can tell. A lot of unconventional/rare pairings (I'm not sure if they're pairings so much as just sticking them into the same image sometimes) and doing it well. I'll even forgive the artist for the Kanda/Rabi illustrations. ^_~ (A little Weiss/Nero maybe. Several odd DGM pairings, but little actual content.)

- D.Gray-man - Victim [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This is another site that I debated on a bit, because the early art isn't as strong, but something about the site kept me clicking links and I could see the artist growing in strength as she went along. It helps that I'm totally in a mood for this kind of site, both for the Ravi/Rinali pairing that the artist seems to like and there's just enough stylization to make it interesting. The one of Rinali standing before a long, shadowed pathway was really kinda cool. The one Kanda/Rinali kiss illustration is is just gorgeous for all the soft, sketchy detail. There are a lot of interesting patterns laid over Ravi's clothes in other illustrations. There are some really pretty agnsty!Rinali images and some really creepy Noah family ones. There's a really pretty Eliade illustration, too. It's one of those sites that I'm really glad I stuck around with because some of the art is really fantastic and has the perfect atmosphere for a DGM fanart site. (Ravi/Rinali, a little bit of Kanda/Rinali, some other, a lot of gen.)

- D.Gray-man - utaka [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This site started a little shakey, but I kept going because, you know, my darling pairing and all, I wanted to see if the artist got better. Which she absolutely did, by the time I was getting to her more recent stuff, she'd started adding more detail and using stronger lines and I really liked her CG-esque style. I did come here for the pairing stuff and I think that's the artist's strongest point, you can tell how much she likes the Ravi/Rinali pairing, but I actually also liked her standalone character art, her Rinali is really pretty and she does a great job with Ravi. The one of him in mid-attack with the fire surrounding his hammer, that image is gorgeous, especially for the colors. And, oh, man, the hit art! So pretty! I loved this site. *__* (Ravi/Rinali, a little other/Rinali, some gen.)

- D.Gray-man - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I really tried to resist this site, honestly. The early art isn't very strong and I was all over the place with the site and it really wasn't catching me. But I kept going because I liked Ravi/Rinali and I wanted to explore every last page, just in case. And then... somewhere along the line... the artist started getting really good. You could see her improving so much, she would put more and more detail into her images and the lines would come out stronger and her comics were lovely. Her b&w stuff tends to be the best, you can really see all the little details better that way. The other thing that really won me over was going through the ton of sketches/diary scribbles the artist had, because they were these cute little moments or angsty moments of them clinging to each other or the entire DGM main group being all dorky cute together and I... I was really charmed by how good they were. There's a lot of art here and it takes some patience to get to the good stuff, but if you really like looking at fanart, I think this site is absolutely worth it. Especially since the artist draws Kanda/Rinali a couple of times and that just puts me in a delighted mood. (Ravi/Rinali, a little other/Rinali.)

- D.Gray-man - conviction;if [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This site took a few images to grow on me and I was kind of reluctant to let it, because I'd been on such a het kick for most of the day, but... the images are really cool, they've got this great style to them that fits the tone of the series very nicely. I waffled on the first dozen illustrations or so, but by about the middle of the gallery, there were really beautiful images in there and I am positively weak to a pretty Tiki image. She also puts these really cool patterns over her a lot of her images, which gives them a really neat effect and her oekaki art is really cute. I liked this site a lot. (Some Tiki/Allen, some Ravi/Allen, some other, both het and yaoi. Some gen, too, I suppose.)

- D.Gray-man - siesta alburn [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This isn't normally what I look for in fanart, but I couldn't help being intrigued by the banner and the first few images. There's so much rich, lush detail in these images, there's so much to stare at and it's all really cool just to look at. I can't even pick out just one or two because each one is just so... even with the sketchy, almost unfinished lines to the characters, the rest of the background and the colors and detail to everything is so tremendously done that each piece feels satisfying on its own. Even if there had only been five or six images on this site, I think I would have wound up recommending it just because it's one of those sites that I think people should see, just to have seen it, because the art is so cool. I don't know that it necessarily made me squee, but I certainly thought it was was a brilliantly done site. (Lots of pairings, a little Tiki/Allen, a little Ravi/Allen, a little other.)

- D.Gray-man - Pcube [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I was pretty sure I was going to like this site right from the beginning and the group illustrations of the four main Exorcists pretty well confirmed that. They were adorable and I love, love, love group stuff. But then there was a really adorable illustration of Komui and Rinali, which there is not nearly enough art for. Then there was art pairing Rinali up with all three of the main boys and, well, I'm a sucker for a lot of those pairings. I'm easy for any Ravi/Rinali art, especially when it's cute, but I was officiall sold in the series of Rinali pairing art when she had her hair up in a ponytail just like Kanda's while he gave her a >_> look. SO. CUTE. And that's what really sold me on the site--while the artist is very good, her characters are very cute and her b&w sketches+comics are pretty awesome, it was how much she was clearly having fun with the characters that I loved. The group illustrations alone are totally worth a trip to the site. ♥ (Some Kanda/Rinali, some Ravi/Rinali, some Allen/Rinali, but it's also very much a gen site.)

- D.Gray-man - 4.2 Joule [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - There's something kind of artistic and creative about this artist's style. It's almost kind of simply done, almost sketchy, except that's not quite it. But the artist focuses on Crowley (and how often does that happen?) and has an interesting, neat style that goes well with the series/characters she's drawing. I mean, I'm all for traditional anime-style fanart as much as the next fangirl (I crave it, really) but sometimes it's cool to stumble over a site that's just a little bit different. (Some gen, some Ravi/Crowley.)

- D.Gray-man - that day [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I was in the mood to look for more Ravi/Rinali fanart, despite that I wondered if I'd seen all of the good sites for them already, when I stumbled over this site. The first couple of illustrations were more cute than anything--and several of the illustrations on the rest of the site would be described the same way, I think--the site quickly started showing these really beautiful images. I wound up liking the gen stuff as much as the Ravi/Rinali stuff, there are some gorgeous Rinali pieces, there's a really lovely gen poster-style illustration and you can look at the artist's b&w sketches to see how fantastic her basic lines really are. They're so sharp and clean when she's really concentrating on the images. The artist also seems to have snuck in a Kanda/Rinali illustration or two, not enough to count as a theme for the site, but just enough that it made me kind of stupidly happy. ♥ And, oh, my god, the comics with Noah!Rinali are gorgeous and creepy and perfect. The one with Komui meeting her again is heartbreaking and one of the prettiest things I've ever seen. Totally worth the site alone right there. *__*♥ (Ravi/Rinali, a little other, some gen, too.)

- D.Gray-man - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I wasn't sure I should recommend this site, there's only about ten illustrations in the gallery proper not counting the sketches/diary art, but... they're such clean, pretty illustrations that I couldn't resist. This artist's Allen looks fantastic and her Rinali is very pretty, the Allen/Rinali art on the site some of the best I've seen around in the fandom. And the sketches do start out a little, well, sketchy, but the artist quickly improves, so the second page of them looks really, really very nice, all these clean, pretty lines and light, soft colors. Very nice. (The site is half-gen, half-Allen/Rinali.)

- D.Gray-man - THOLOS [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - It only took two illustrations into this site, despite that there's not a whole lot of art here, to know that I was going to really like this site. The detail and color put into the images make them look so pretty, they're just so richly and lushly done. Some of them are a little darker, like the one of Allen in the rain that's so pretty to look at, and some others are done in these light, pastel-friendly colors and I love both styles. It's not a perfect site, but it's certainly one of the better ones I've seen and totally worth it for the adorable kitty!Kanda/Allen/Lavi image. It actually makes me like Kanda/Allen again, reminds me that some artists can still do it so that it looks really beautiful. And the sketches of the stand-alone characters are just gorgeous, all soft lines and soft colors. And any image the site has of Allen by himself? asdlfkjasldkjalsk so hot. And the handful of Rinali illustrations! Omg, so pretty. *__* (Some Kanda/Allen, some Lavi/Allen, some Lavi/Kanda, but worth it for the gen if you step carefully, I think.)

- D.Gray-man - A.B [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I didn't really intend to stick around for more DGM fanart this morning, but something about this site just quietly caught me. The art started out a little shakey, but then the artist started doing these really cool individual illustrations of the characters, these b&w sketches that looked really fantastic, they're almost simple except the artist is really good at putting all these little details into them. And I swear I was adoring the hell out of this site even before I ever got to the Kanda/Rinali kiss illustration that's so pretty... but I also wasn't complaining. ♥ (A little Allen/Rinali, a little Kanda/Rinali, a little Ravi/Rinali, a little Ravi/Miranda, maybe a little other, a lot of gen.)

- D.Gray-man - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I was a bit hesitant about this site at first, it had potential, but the first couple of illustrations made me think it was more cute than anything else. Then I got to the third one or so and it was this really, really pretty fanart of Anita and I was just totally charmed. The art on the site is still more cute than anything, but it's an adorable sort of cute and a nice stop on a fanart hunt spree. Plus, you know, the cute chibi-esque Ravi/Rinali doesn't hurt my feelings at all. There's even an adorable one of Allen and Rinali holding hands and looking up at the snow falling down on them. I'd label the site primarly a Rinali-friendly site, but occasionally some nice Kanda or group illustrations would show up as well, so it's potentially worth it for the gen as well. (Some Allen/Rinali, some Ravi/Rinali, a lot of gen.)

- D.Gray-man - MIRACOM ON!! [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Kanda/Miranda is not a pairing I ever really thought about, much less expected to find art for that I really liked, but... well, she draws both characters so lovely that I couldn't help going through the entire gallery. I did get a little frustrated with the layout constantly resizing itself (I hate not having my browser maximized), but I was willing to forgive the site for it because the layout is really kind of cool and I'd love to design something like that myself. There are some gorgeous stand-alone illustrations, mostly of Miranda (you can tell how much the artist really likes the character), but occasionally some of the other characters as well. Miranda dressed up like Ravi was a particular favorite of mine, but so many of them are really fantastic and worth visiting the site for. (Some Kanda/Miranda, some Ravi/Miranda, some other het, some gen.)

- D.Gray-man - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - The art on this site starts out shakey, but about halfway through each section, it gets kind of really good. The Rinali illustrations get just pretty and kinda hot, the Ravi/Rinali is really sweet/cute, and there's even Kanda/Rinali, too. I never tire of artists liking both pairings. ♥ There's also some Tiki/Rinali has a couple that were surprisingly nice. It's not a huge site, but the artist has a lot of potential to get really good and I'd love to see more from her in the future. ♥ (Ravi/Rinali, Tiki/Rinali, Kanda/Rinali, some gen.)

- D.Gray-man/Inuyasha - STAN [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I really sort of debated on this site for a bit, I wasn't quite sure it was hitting me right since I'm strange about the Noah family art I like. But I kept going through the gallery and, the further I got, the more I was quietly won over to the site, the artist really does a good job of keeping that slightly Halloween-esque/Tim Burton-ish style of the characters, which is something I really like with DGM art. Plus, Tiki and Rhode did look pretty good in a lot of the images, I'm also weak to that sort of thing. It's not really my pairing, but if I squint I could probably pretend it was gen or familial type stuff and that's worth it to me for some good Tiki fanart. And then, when you add in the Inuyasha fanart, it's much in the same style, and maybe it's just that I haven't looked at Inuyasha fanart in ages, but I really had fun with the Shichi'nintai fanart here, especially the Bankotsu/Jakotsu ones. (....possible Tiki/Rhode, possible gen Some Bankotsu/Jakotsu.)

- Katekyou Hitman Reborn/D.Gray-man - HYS [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Oh, now, this site is just cool, I love the style that's almost messy, where the illustrations almost look indestinct a lot of the time, but it creates this really kinda cool stylized feel to the images. Plus, you know, it helped that one of the first images I saw was Chrome and Tsuna leaning against each other and I... it's not that I ship them so much as I thought the idea would be cute for a couple of seconds. Then the site followed that up with some fantastic Hyper Dying Will mode Tsuna illustrations and then with some pretty Gokudera/Tsuna. The style is slightly rough, but it just makes the art look hotter, I felt and the comics are especially hot, especially the Gokudera/Tsuna moments. The DGM fanart is in much the same style, it starts out with some really cool, slick, almost glowing colors in these really intriguing concepts, almost like paintings of the characters and reflections of themselves, and the followed it up with some lovely shippy stuff and Lee siblings art. ♥ A cool little site. (Some Gokudera/Tsuna, some Mukuro/Chrome, some gen for KHR. Some Allen/Rinali, some Kanda/Rinali, some gen for DGM.)

- D.Gray-man - ALPHA [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This site has some damn fine sketches, they look fantastic even when the artist doesn't really "finish" them. I'd love to see more from her that took the time to do proper illustrations because she obviously has a lot of talent and draws in a style very similar to the original manga, which makes the characters look so hot. Her use of color (sometimes used very sparingly) also works for the style and when she does a more "proper" image with full color and all? Gorgeous work. Her Allen (as well as her Cross) look just utterly amazing and-- well, hell. Every character she draws, whether Allen or Kanda or Cross or Rinali or Ravi or Tiki, looks amazing. (Some potential pairings, both het and yaoi, but no real themes.)

- D.Gray-man - Carmine Cross [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - The art on this site starts out a little shakey, but by about a quarter of the way through, I could see the artist tightening her work up and starting to show a lot of potential. By about half of the way through the gallery, she was producing some really pretty stuff. It'll probably still only appeal to fans of the Kanda/Allen pairing and not everything works for me, but there's enough art here that I really liked a lot for me to be satisfied with the site. The colors are very bright and vivid, very CG, but when the artist really puts a lot of effort into the illustrations, they look almost like they could be poster-style art for the anime series. Worth a look if you like the pairing, I think. (Some Kanda/Allen, some other, some gen.)

- D.Gray-man - thanatos [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I'm not sure if this site is going to be for everyone, I might not even have stuck around for very long if it had been for another subject matter, but as a Noah fansite, the artist's style (which is that sort of gothic look that's vaguely Tim Burton-esque) really works for me here. The characters are kind of very, very skinny, to the point of exaggeration often times, but it's part of the style, same with the messy lines and toned down use of color. It's cool to see a mostly b&w illustration, except with just a splash of orange for Ravi's hair to make it really stand out. The style works well enough for the artist overall, and I enjoyed the site. (Some potential Tiki/Rhode, some Tiki/Ravi, some gen.)
