- Final Fantasy 8/Juuni Kokki/Hellsing - SENGOKU [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I think it was the illustration of Youko all glammed up in modern trendy clothes, a big hairdo, the skimpy shirt, the oversized belt, the collar, that really sort of won me over with the site. It wasn't something I would have thought I'd like, but... I dunno, I really liked the way the artist drew Youko. Though, I did like the one of her in normal clothes and her hair loose and nearly obscuring her face more--so pretty. Really, that's what you're going to the site for, that every time the artist draws Youko again, she looks even more beautiful. Her FF8 art is some of the better stuff around for that fandom as well, she draws Squall nicely, I made it through every last illustration in the FF8 gallery, and I really liked her Laguna. It's all just... soft and pretty, the kind of light and airy art that I totally go for. And, finally, okay, there are only three or so Hellsing illustrations on the site, but... they were some of the best work on the site and they looked so cool that I had to stick this rec in the Hellsing section, to. >___> (Maybe a little 12K pairings, Seifer/Squall, Laguna/Squall.)

- Final Fantasy 7/Fullmetal Alchemist - Escape Club [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I came to this site for the FF7 fanart, but wound up staying for the FMA fanart because, holy hell, this artist's Ed is just gorgeous. There's this way she has with the character, a certain strength to the lines of the character so that it looks like a really strong, professional doujinshi, she's great with her inking (?), her shading, the way she lays an image out, the proportions, the gorgeous eyes and hair and expressions and, oh, man, do I love, LOVE her Al. Both the brothers are slightly older and look slightly thinner, but it's so obviously them and I'm currently clicking my way through her long 30+ page comic and it's seriously one of the prettiest things I've seen just about ever. I can't stop staring at Ed's hair or the way he looks with his shirt off, because it's all just so pretty. I barely even blinked at the Elricest because... how can I complain when the artist draws them holding hands and looking forward that's just completely wibble-worthy? ♥ The FF7 art is obviously a little older and thus not quite as strong, but it's still quite worth going through the galleries for, if just to see the occasional hot Zack fanart or the pretty Aerith illustration or Cloud in a Santa outfit. XD And the FF8 stuff is worth a look, too, the Seifer/Squall comic shows a lot of growth on the artist's part, I think. Overall, I had a lot of fun here. ♥ (Ed/Al, Zack/Cloud, maybe a little Cloud/Aerith, and Seifer/Squall.)

- Final Fantasy 8 - Deep Forest [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Admittedly, the pairing isn't my favorite, but I don't run away screaming from it either, especially when there's a lot of art on the site and the artist is tremendously talented at the CG-style she often uses. There are some Squall illustrations on the site that are just downright beautiful, like the one of him on the motorcycle or holding the gunblade while he sits against the wall or fighting in mid-battle. The details are amazing, her use of color is tremendous and I find myself going through the entire gallery all over again because her art is just that good. Very worth crawling all over this site. ♥ (Lots of Squall-only, but some Seifer/Squall as well.)

- Final Fantasy VII/Final Fantasy VIII - FFWONDER [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Originally, I didn't intend to rec this site because I didn't think I really cared that much for the art, despite it being an interesting sort of style. But I kept clicking through the gallery because I wanted to see if the artist improved and somewhere along the line... a lot of it is that I hit the oekaki page first so I saw a bunch of really cute Squall/Rinoa little comics and the one where he kisses her and she practically passes out from it just totally got me. Which sort of exemplifies why I fell for this site, because it went after two of my het-shipping weaknesses with Cloud/Tifa and Squall/Rinoa and drew them in the types of poses where I was bound to coo over them. I mean, Cloud and Tifa waking up in bed together, half naked? Off-screen hands pushing Cloud and Tifa towards each other? The utter adorability of the Irvine/Selphie fanart? Squall and Rinoa naked together? Yeah, I pretty had to fall for the site. XD (Cloud/Tifa, Squall/Rinoa, some Irvine/Selphie.)

- Final Fantasy VII/Final Fantasy VIII/Final Fantasy X - ICE [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - It took me awhile to warm up to this site, the realistic style of CG is rarely something that appeals a whole lot to me unless it's amazingly, amazingly done. I sat on the fence with this site for a long time and it probably wasn't until three-fourths of the way through the FFVIII gallery that I started to like it. (Well, okay, maybe I had a soft spot for the Laguna illustration about halfway through the gallery.) It's not going to be for everyone and it's probably not my favorite, but I totally have a weakness for the softness that the artist applies to the characters, especially Rinoa or Quistis. And even though there only about four FFVII illustrations, I had to include it because I really sort of love her Sephiroth (the coloring is just so pretty and good with the character) and her Tifa is great. (Some het with FFVIII, but I don't know what theme I'd call.)

- Final Fantasy VIII - 32nd [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - You know, I actually came to this site for Dissidia art (which I'm going to keep separate from just the pure VIII or VII art, I think) and was surprised to find a VIII art site that I'd never seen before! A decent sized site (for the VIII fandom) with some really pretty art on it! It's a very... simple CG style and yet it's not, because the artist does really well with it. There's something really almost... peaceful about the art, the soft colors and simple, clean lines of it. You can tell the artist especially likes Squall and, well, hey, any site that likes pretty Squall art gets a thumbs up from me for that much at least. :D It's not a huge site, but it was fun to go through! (Maybe a little Squall/Seifer, but it's mostly a gen site, I'd say.)
