Fullmetal Alchemist Doujinshi (scanslated) - Munich 1921 (part 01) - [Note: The links on this post probably won't work, but you can download the file here.] I picked this one up because I accidentally read part three out of order and was terribly curious about what was going on in the storyline. Possibly this was a good way for me to do it because I think the series gets stronger as it goes along, both in story and in art, but that's not to say that I didn't really enjoy this part, either. It's all about Ed in Munich and meeting various alternate people he knows (well, Roy in this case) and how he is/isn't like the Colonel Ed knows, who, by the way, won't leave Ed's thoughts entirely. The art is solid and I liked the story and the characterization was really good, it certainly made me want to pick up the next book in the series. ....this is a crappy rec, I know, but it is a good book! (Roy/Ed implied.)

Fullmetal Alchemist Doujinshi (scanslated) - Munich 1921 (part 02) - [Note: This is a sequel to the previous doujinshi, it would probably help to have read that one first.] And this is the second part, which immediately follows the first, after Ed and Roy first meet in Munich and make their "contract". The art picks up a lot in this book, you can tell the artist took her time with this one and the style... it's not precisely mirroring Arakawa's style (well, the anime's style, since it's based on the movie/anime), but it captures a bit of the feel of it. I love that this book started out with a scene with original Roy and that Ed is still in his thoughts (foreshadowing for where this is heading, possibly?), but also focuses on Ed in Munich and delving further into his feelings for Roy and how they're twisting him around, not necessarily always in a good way. It was a solid second entry in this series and I'm definitely anxious to read more. (Roy/Ed implied verging on outright.)

Fullmetal Alchemist Doujinshi (scanslated) - Munich 1921 (part 03) - [Note: This is the third book in a doujinshi series, it would probably help to have read the other two first.] I accidentally read this part first, without really realizing that it was part of a series (I can read headers super well, really!) and was kind of confused about what was going on here. While I think it stands somewhat well on it's own, I definitely would have appreciated more info, because each one does build on the previous and I think it's heading somewhere really interesting. This one is definitely my favorite, the artist has gotten even stronger with this book, the art looks beautiful in several panels and the storyline has gotten even stronger as well. Ed finds himself soaked from the rain and collapsed at Roy's place, who takes care of him, and things develop from there and then there's kind of a bitch of a cliffhanger. So far, it's my favorite book of the series, it's the one that hooked me immediately, even though I've been mostly out of the fandom for ages and I read it out of order, I love that you get really sucked into all the emotions Ed goes through. I love how much this artist can say with just expressions on the characters' faces and how much body language tells. Very nice. (Roy/Ed, NSFW.)
