- Full Metal Alchemist - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - For some reason, the brighter colors this site uses, along with the finely detailed art, just WORKS for me. With another artist, they might have been too much or too bright or something, but with THIS artist, somehow they make the art just SO PRETTY. *fangirls* Beyond that, there's this one Roy/Ed kiss illustration with Ed in Roy's arms that has the most beautifully detailed lines that look straight out of one of the most beautiful doujinshi books ever. I fell in LOVE. *___* There's also a two-page Roy/Ed comic about Ed's hair that makes me fangirl madly (especially with Roy leaning in to smell it XD), oh, and I think there might have been some cute Al and Ed illustrations, too. XD;; It's hard to explain why I liked this site, even if, say, Ed's coat was closer to pink than red, but even THAT just sorta worked for me with this artist. It was... just one of those sites that made me fangirl, I can't explain it any better than that. XD;; (Some Roy/Ed, some Al/Ed hinted at.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - Another Heaven [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - The thing that keeps jumping out at me about this artist's work is two things--one she uses sparklies a lot in her art, but I couldn't bring myself to dislike it because it worked really well for her style, I thought they were very pretty. The other is that she draws Ed's eyes beautifully; pretty much no matter what illustration he was in, I always found my gaze being drawn towards his beautifully drawn, detailed and almost delicate but not girly eyes. Her colors are very nice, she uses the softener feature very well. There's clearly a love for the Al/Ed relationship here and most of the images in her regular gallery could almost be taken as gen--but you are going to want to skip this one if Al/Ed bothers you greatly. But I couldn't resist, especially when the artist drew both boys in glasses, their hair so golden blonde that it nearly gleamed, and they looked so beautiful.... *sparkles* Lovely art. ^_^v (Al/Ed, a little bit of Roy/Ed, some graphic AlxEd content--do not hit the R-18/R-20 sections unless you are mature enough to handle that.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - *mad fangirl flailing* OMG! The cuteness! It wounds me! Just... this site isn't necessarily going to be for everyone, it's pure chibi art, yet very suggestive (everyone is nosebleeding over chibi!Ed in suggestive poses), but I took one look at the site and FELL IN LOVE. OMG! *flails* The lines and colors are gorgeous and the artist just has this... way with the characters that turns me into an incoherent fangirl squee'ing for all she's worth. She does an absolutely stunning Roy (the one or two times she draws him full-size), there's this one of him with a flame wrapped around his hand that is SO PRETTY. But her Ed is also just beautiful and she draws these gorgeous, gorgeous chibis. Kitty!chibi!Ed in the cardboard box wounds me with the cuteness and the illustration where about twenty chibi Eds are bouncing around while Hughes, Roy, and Armstrong try to corral them is the CUTEST THING EVER. Seriously. Even more than the fantastic use of CG or how amazing the artists lines/colors are, the art is squee-worthy and the kind of site that makes me incoherent with the love. *flails some more* ♥♥♥♥♥ (Some Roy/Ed, some Al/Ed.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - This site is just incredible--now, admittedly, the proportions and lines can be a little off, but what what absolutely stunned me about this artist's work is her coloring and shading. The crispness and clarity and beautiful coloring of her work is absolutely on par with the art of the official series, it's just that damned good. Occasionally, there are some images in here that I could easily have mistaken for official art if I didn't know better, they're just amazingly colored. All of them seem to have this golden glow, which is entirely appropriate since the artist focuses on Ed a lot (he's clearly her favorite character and she draws him gorgeously *__*), but she also has a sense of humor and draws wonderful romantic images. There are two of Roy/Ed that just made me swoon. But she also draws Ed with a real, genuine, honest-to-god smile on his face sometimes and I just... gah, I can't express my love with mere words. *fawns* (Some Roy/Ed, Al/Ed, and Hughes/Ed.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - Top Secret [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Given how much I've crawled all over the J-fandom with FMA sites, it's rare that I find a site like this these days--one with just beautiful art on it. *__* A few are a little shakey, but EVERYTHING is still really pretty; the colors, the lines, the poses, just... I was a swoony fangirl by the time I was done. The artist draws a fantastic Ed, the kind that makes you love him even more (especially on That Night when he's crawling over to Al's armor or when he's standing back to back with Roy and smirking) and a Roy that plays havoc with my hormones (those said back to back illustrations with Ed or when he's posing and smirking on his own) and a wonderful human!Al that's just gorgeous. The colors are these beautiful shades that are light and airy... but not really pastel or girly, they're just perfect for this kind of art. The lines are delicate, but without being overly so. Just... yeah. Beautiful, beautiful art, to the point where I spazz over it and get incoherent. >_> (A little Al/Ed and Roy/Ed, if the unions are any indication, but there's a lot of gen, too.)

- Full Metal Alchemist/Naruto - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I feel like I've seen this site before, but I can't find it in my recs, so I'm going to assume that I haven't rec'd it yet. (Aha, I've been to this part of the site before, but not for the FMA stuff.) This artist is just... she's incredible at drawing the characters in the style of the manga... which isn't necessarily my favorite style, but she makes it look really good here. Her Ed - Al illustrations are just SO ADORABLE and SO CUTE, just so perfectly cute with the way the Elric brothers were when they were younger. I'm not sure if it's meant to be Elriccest or what, but I'm going to assume it's not, but stick it into the section anyway. I also find that I really kinda like her Roy/Ed, she does a great job capturing the spirit/feel of the characters, I guess. Plus, there's a TON of art. *twirls* As for the Naruto stuff, she really does a FUN job with the Naruto characters, capturing the sense of... shounen I guess, rather than prettyboy-ifying them, even when they're in 'pretty' situtations. I guess... if you like the style of the manga for each series, you'll probably like this fanartist. (Some gen-Al-Ed, some Roy/Ed, a LOT of gen, and SasuNaru.)

- Final Fantasy 7/Fullmetal Alchemist - Escape Club [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I came to this site for the FF7 fanart, but wound up staying for the FMA fanart because, holy hell, this artist's Ed is just gorgeous. There's this way she has with the character, a certain strength to the lines of the character so that it looks like a really strong, professional doujinshi, she's great with her inking (?), her shading, the way she lays an image out, the proportions, the gorgeous eyes and hair and expressions and, oh, man, do I love, LOVE her Al. Both the brothers are slightly older and look slightly thinner, but it's so obviously them and I'm currently clicking my way through her long 30+ page comic and it's seriously one of the prettiest things I've seen just about ever. I can't stop staring at Ed's hair or the way he looks with his shirt off, because it's all just so pretty. I barely even blinked at the Elricest because... how can I complain when the artist draws them holding hands and looking forward that's just completely wibble-worthy? ♥ The FF7 art is obviously a little older and thus not quite as strong, but it's still quite worth going through the galleries for, if just to see the occasional hot Zack fanart or the pretty Aerith illustration or Cloud in a Santa outfit. XD And the FF8 stuff is worth a look, too, the Seifer/Squall comic shows a lot of growth on the artist's part, I think. Overall, I had a lot of fun here. ♥ (Ed/Al, Zack/Cloud, maybe a little Cloud/Aerith, and Seifer/Squall.)

- Fullmetal Alchemist/Final Fantasy VII/Final Fantasy X - Seventh Heaven [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I suppose I knew I was going to rec this site when I got to the illustration of Ed underneath the sakura tree because it was just so pretty and so nicely detailed and the sakura blossoms look amazing and it was so solidly good, but... even before that, I kinda knew I would want to rec the site. Ed's got that beautiful gold coloring and the art has all this background detail that's actually good, so the images look very fully realized that it just makes me sort of burble happily. As for the FFVII art, the pairing isn't my usual one, but I'm a lot more relaxed when it comes to fanart and the artist draws a beautiful Cloud. The art has a lot of real discipline to it, which is especially noticable around Cloud's hair, the ton of detail and very smooth lines of it. And, hell, some of the poses are really kick-ass, I suspect the artist is also a doujinshika, her work is certainly strong enough to be. <3 And, omg, the FFX fanart! There's an utterly beautiful one of Yuna in the middle of her dance and I'm over here still wibbling over how gorgeous Tidus looks. Loved this site. (Vincent/Cloud, maybe some light Al/Ed, a little Tidus/Yuna maybe.)
