- Full Metal Alchemist/Get Backers - Celestial [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - There's a lot I love about this site, but most of all I love the gorgeous, gorgeous lineart the artist does--her b&w images that look straight out of a doujinshi (which I think they might be, actually...?) are very smooth, clean, and beautifully shaded, giving the art an almost delicate look. Sometimes with b&w imagery, you get the feeling of a sketch-like quality (which, don't get me wrong, I love, too), but with this artist, her work looks so... polished, so very sharp, which is really nice to see. She also draws some wonderful spazzing!Ed images, some smirking!Roy images, and some of the best, most intense and hot RoyxEd kisses/embraces that I've ever seen. I'm in love with her Roy, who often is drawn either shirtless or in casual clothes (as well as his usual uniform, of course) and is just... yum. Much of this also applies to her Get Backers art--you can see what look like selected panels from doujinshi, where the shading and lines are absolutely wonderful, her Ban and Ginji just fabulous. She really gets the feelings of the characters across wonderfully. *happy sigh~* (Some RoyxEd, some BanxGinji.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - The art on this site is amazing, some of them I could literally have mistaken for official art if I hadn't known better, that's how well the artist nails the style. The colors are perfect, the lines and proportions are perfect, everything is just absolutely uncanny with how well the artist gets down the style of the anime. Of course, then you go off into the sketches and b&w art and that's where I really started to twirl because the color images are more gen than anything, but the comics have a nice Roy/Ed slant to them (and if you can hunt down the under gallery, there's some Roy/Ed there, so I know the artist likes them) while still having that same incredible style that's so perfect. I just... I *heart* so frickin much. Gorgeous art. (Some light Roy/Ed, but the site is half-gen, too.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - Full Metal Dust [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - Originally, I wasn't going to rec this site because it only had a handful of illustrations on it, but... I really like this artist and think she's one I want to keep an eye on. Her art is lovely, she does fantastic colors, and illustrations that I just coo over. But there were two illustrations that stood out for me especially--one was an illustration of Roy/Ed (though, the site isn't really very Roy/Ed-centric, just light hints... unless you can figure out the password for the undgeround section, which I cannot ~_~) that was just beautiful, the other was quite possibly the angiest Roy illustration I've ever seen. *punts the chibi over to cheer him up* T_____T I had to rec this site for those alone. (Mostly gen, a tiny bit of Roy/Ed.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - Jikiru [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - There are a couple of reasons that this site won me over--first is that a lot of the art got reactions out of me, especially the sad images that I could just build entire little stories around. The second is that while the art can be a little off, the artist does lovely things with colors and uses the softener effect beautifully. The roi-2 illustration is just... beautiful, especially. *___* And I'll admit that I'm terribly amused by Ed falling flat on his face--especially since the image is so PRETTY. ♥ The artist also knows how to draw some really cool poses, does a fantastic job with their hair, and the colors make me feel so warm. Very nice site. *hearts* (Some light Roy/Ed.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - Steel*Soul [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - I admit, there are a few things a little off with the artist's characters and her art is very CG-y, but the CG style actually reminds me of the anime art, which is a very good thing to my mind. *hearts* Plus! OMG SUCH CUTE ART! Roy and Ed in the bath! Roy taking Kitty!Ed home to give him a bath! Ed actually looking happy in Roy's arms for once! Ed being gorgeous while he looks out the window of a train while travelling! Roy glomping onto Ed! That was the real strength of this site--the art is very cute, but it's the poses and images/concepts presented that made me go *SQUEE!* that put this site on my list of must-rec sites. One of those sites that leaves me twirling around in a sparkle-fit by the time I'm done. XD (Roy/Ed.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - This site is just incredible--now, admittedly, the proportions and lines can be a little off, but what what absolutely stunned me about this artist's work is her coloring and shading. The crispness and clarity and beautiful coloring of her work is absolutely on par with the art of the official series, it's just that damned good. Occasionally, there are some images in here that I could easily have mistaken for official art if I didn't know better, they're just amazingly colored. All of them seem to have this golden glow, which is entirely appropriate since the artist focuses on Ed a lot (he's clearly her favorite character and she draws him gorgeously *__*), but she also has a sense of humor and draws wonderful romantic images. There are two of Roy/Ed that just made me swoon. But she also draws Ed with a real, genuine, honest-to-god smile on his face sometimes and I just... gah, I can't express my love with mere words. *fawns* (Some Roy/Ed, Al/Ed, and Hughes/Ed.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - I'm not sure how to describe this site and why I like it, but a lot of it is just... it's a very solid site and I enjoyed spamming friends with particular links because the art made me sparkle and go ^___________^. I really can't ask for more than that from a site. What I really love is the artist's basic lineart (which you can better see in her b&w comics) and some of the poses she puts the characters into--there's one of Ed, crying and leaning into Roy's embrace that just breaks my heart, and then there's a happier one of them curled up in a chair and Ed's got the biggest grin/smile on his face and I go into fluttering fangirl mode. The artist uses these warm golden and red colors a lot of times and it really works with her style... plus, the one of Roy and a sleeping Ed in the grass where Roy is lightly brushing the hair out of Ed's face? I LOVE. *wibbles* (Roy/Ed.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - I swear, this artist was trying to kill me--one image would be so happy that I'd be ready to have hearts in my eyes and squee'ing and twirling around the room. The next would be this heartbreaking illustration that would make me just want to hug the character and protect them from the world. Then back to happy again and repeat the cycle. T_____T Of course, the art is lovely (There's this one of Ed with a shirt half slipping off his shoulder, kissing a sleeping Roy's forehead that's just beautiful), the artist does beautiful things with colors and poses. Plus, the comics made me go XDXDXD quite hard and are really gorgeous themselves--the bad dream one is especially well-drawn. I also adore the oekaki board. <333 So much love. ♥ (Roy/Ed.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - akuta-ya [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - The more and more I explored this site, the more and more I just fell in love with it. The artist uses these softer, muted colors (that are almost golden and slate blue combinations that work so well for FMA) and these gorgeous lines and tones to her art that just has me a wibbling mess in the corner. And the content! She does some of the most WONDERFUL Elric-family art (the Elric Kyoudai or Ed and Al with their mother *LOVES*), there are a couple of illustrations of Ed leaning into Al's hand with this look on his face that just makes you want to give him a hug. And then there's the Roy/Ed. *fangirls* The artist never draws anything too risque, but manages to capture the intimancy and chemistry of the pairing so well--there are a couple of illustrations of Roy leaning over to kiss Ed that just make me *____*. There's also a beautiful comic tucked away in the FMA section of Roy lying down next to a sleeping Ed (they're both almost fully clothed, the only thing missing is Roy's jacket and they never even touch) that just took my breath away with how stunning it was. This site was a real treasure. *loves* (Some gen, some Roy/Ed.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - Cat Walk [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - This is one of those sites that I sat on the fence for awhile at first, but kept going through it on my own because I liked the artist. And the further I got into her gallery, the more her art began to tighten up and get really pretty; her lines/underlying lineart is the artist's strong point, followed up with her use of softer colors, combinging to make some really pretty art. Her eyes are just lovely and there's this one of Ed and Roy both in military uniforms lounging against jungle cats that's just gorgeous. There's also a White Day illustration with about-to-kiss-RoyEd that made me fangirl really hard because it was so pretty. And that's what I love about a site--when an artist can do a Roy/Ed that makes me go *___* and I love the soft, light, airy feel to the art. Plus, she draws a very, very pretty Lust. *fangirls* (Some Roy/Ed.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - Wow, did I fall in love with this artist fast. Admittedly, some of her earlier illustrations are a little on the rough side, but her latest stuff is absolutely stunning. There are a couple of Roy and Ed in the rain that use these beautifully soft colors and these amazingly intimate poses without them even touching each other that just take my breath away. There are others where the feeling of the illustrations just comes across fantastically, really evoking a response with me, and making me fall further in love with these characters than I already was. However, as much as I love, love, love the regular gallery, the comics/manga section had an omake that was just... wow. The lines were absolutely incredible, the details amazing, the poses and shading just beautiful. I can't sing its praises high enough. And if that weren't enough, it has kissing and Ed in military uniform! I love Ed in military uniform. This site so made my night. ♥ ♥ (Roy/Ed.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - RARE [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - I think I knew that when I got to naked!Ed who was smirking while leaning into Roy that I knew I loved this site. XD The artist actually does her best work with b&w images, I think, because it shows off the incredible shading she does and lets you focus on her really solid, pretty lineart. Though, there is this one of Ed and Al in color (Ed leaning on Al's armor, Al with a bird in his head) that's just lovely and there are a couple of Ed illustrations early on in the gallery that are just wonderful for him. But it's the Roy/Ed that really, really captures my head--Roy sweetly carrying Ed to bed, leaning into him while he does so or Ed looking up with a sweet expression at him or the smirking, nekkid!Ed illustration or so on. They're just... beautiful and fun and really capture the feeling of the characters. This site was very, very nice to go through today. ♥ (Roy/Ed, some gen.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - Another Heaven [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - The thing that keeps jumping out at me about this artist's work is two things--one she uses sparklies a lot in her art, but I couldn't bring myself to dislike it because it worked really well for her style, I thought they were very pretty. The other is that she draws Ed's eyes beautifully; pretty much no matter what illustration he was in, I always found my gaze being drawn towards his beautifully drawn, detailed and almost delicate but not girly eyes. Her colors are very nice, she uses the softener feature very well. There's clearly a love for the Al/Ed relationship here and most of the images in her regular gallery could almost be taken as gen--but you are going to want to skip this one if Al/Ed bothers you greatly. But I couldn't resist, especially when the artist drew both boys in glasses, their hair so golden blonde that it nearly gleamed, and they looked so beautiful.... *sparkles* Lovely art. ^_^v (Al/Ed, a little bit of Roy/Ed, some graphic AlxEd content--do not hit the R-18/R-20 sections unless you are mature enough to handle that.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - Fire Drop [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - You know, when I browse a site, I'm not always just looking at the lines and proportions themselves, I'm also looking for the feeling it envokes in me. (Which sounds really pretentious, but....) And there were so many illustrations on this site (not all, but several) that made me go "Eeeee! That's so cool! XD" There were a couple of comics that I really liked--the ~19 page "kiss" one was nice and on page 14, Roy looked hot. There were also two seperate illustrations--one of Roy with an intense look on his face, one with Ed with an intense look on his face towards the beginning of the gallery that were just... well, breath-taking with the sheer intensity of them. There's also an absolutely adorable cranky!kitsune!Ed that I loved and would have had to rec this site just for that. XDXD So, this site isn't going to be for everyone, but I really liked it a lot. XD (Roy/Ed.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - This is one of those sites where I was just rather pleased with the entire selection of art--the artist is all-around very solid with her art, very nice lines, some really awesome details in some of the illustrations, and really good-looking colors. One of the things that always gets me is when an illustration can engage me, when it can get me thinking, when I look at a picture and a story or skit pops into my head nearly fully-formed. There's one illustration on here where Roy is picking up Ed and swinging him around with a XDXDXD expression on his face, with Ed having a very similiar expression. I took one look at this image and went, //No idea what's going on here, but that happy expression doesn't look right on Ed's face. I keep seeing scenarios like... Roy: "Hagane no! You're so cute! *picks him up and swings him around* XDXDXD" Ed: *matching expression, entirely too cheerful tone as he claps his hands together* "Die, bastard! XDXDXD"// I love it when a site can engage me like that. So, the art is lovely, but what I really enjoyed is the sense of... connection, I guess, that I got off the site. ♥ (Some Roy/Ed, some other pairings.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - The reason why this site got put onto my recs list? Because there were literally about fifteen illustrations that I cooed or went "Awww!" or *___*'d over like crazy. With a lot of the illustrations on this site, the artist has just fantastic basic lineart, which really shows up in her sketches, comics, and b&w art. Her Ed is really quite, quite well-done and there's this one of Roy in the middle of a transmutation that's just pretty. *__* The comic of Roy leaning over to kiss a sleeping Ed and getting an automatic foot in the face was both lovely and hysterical, the neko!Eds were just too damned adorable, Ed sprawled across Roy's lap was niiiiiiiice, and I just sparkle over everything on this site. Luff, luff, luff. ♥ (Some Roy/Ed, some other/Ed.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - La. [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I think it was the comics on this site that eventually won me completely over... either that or the one of a sleeping Roy draped over Ed (who's awake and reading) in bed that was just... the colors were subtly done (interestingly mostly only pinks and yellows, with a little bit of green in the corner), making the image look almost sketch-like, but it worked for the image and made me fangirl SO HARD. It was one of those images that told a little story just with the picture itself, made me just see the scene in my head, and we all know what a sucker I am for that kind of thing. ♥ But the comics were also wonderful, because certain pages or panels of them would just be amazingly drawn, in that way that's not necessarily quite traditionally pretty, but that gets to me somehow. The amount of detail the artist has put into them is also just fantastic, it isn't just sketches or quickly thrown together, the artis really took her time with the pages and it shows. Plus, there was one with some very nice limish content and I'm also a sucker for that. Toss in some nice one-shot illustrations (there's an incredible one of Winry, there's a couple of really fantastic Ed/Al/Winry ones, one stand-alone Roy/Ed with Roy pressing his head to Ed's stomach, arms around his waist that's really... touching and rather heartbreaking from the posture alone, even though you can't even see their faces you know they're hurting ;__;, and a couple of wonderful stand-alone Ed illustrations as well) and this was a really fun site to go through that I liked a lot. (Some Roy/Ed.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - G2 [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Oh, jeez, I can't help it, while Ed is very chibi-ish in the art here (which may turn some people off--not that they're really doing much of anything, mind you), I couldn't help wibbling over just how damned cute the art was. It helps that the artist has an incredible strength in the the crispness and smoothness of her lines, along with a really strong sense for color and shading, and a goodly amount of details, making the art look rather professional-like. Plus, there's this one image of inu!Ed where Roy's picking him up and sort of looking at him like, "What the...?" to Ed's annoyed >_> expression, which just makes the image. XDXD Plus, good lord, the Valentine's Day one, with Ed with a chocolate in his mouth, leaning in towards Roy to share, was just SO DAMNED CUTE. And, really, that's what I love about this site--that it got me to coo over the cuteness of her drawings and flail happily over this pairing that I've become so hooked on. Not necessarily for everyone, but I enjoyed the hell out of it. (Roy/Ed.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - RULE [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I admit, the artist here can be a bit hit-or-miss, but when she's on, she draws these illustrations or comics that just... make me squee. I think I adored every comic she drew, because they really let you focus on her smooth, clean lines in the b&w art and show you her solid shading skills. Plus, they were so cute! Ed getting sick and Roy taking care of him was my favorite (I NEED FIC ON THIS CONCEPT, PEOPLE), but I adored all of the comics, really. Plus, Ed and Roy in the rain, that always makes me happy. XD Her color art wasn't as impressive for me, but, hell, I loved the artist just because I managed to find the under gallery and she has niiiiiiiiice art there. *___* (Roy/Ed.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - Hush Money [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Admittedly, it took me awhile to figure out where the non-oekaki art was stashed on this site and it's never that much, but this site IMMEDIATELY made it to my recs page because of the multiple page comic she has. It's about 25 pages long and is one of the most stunning things I have ever seen--her lines are incredible, softly drawn, almost delicate, but not girly, just very, very pretty. Her shading and detail are wonderful and the characters themselves are amazing. Half the comic seems to revolve around Roy tying Ed's tie and the way she draws even the softest little touches... half the time it was hysterical (when Ed was embarassed or cranky) and half the time, you could just FEEL the UST rolling off them in waves. I'm amazed when an artist can capture such an intense something between the characters like she does AND make it one of the most beautiful b&w comics I've ever seen. I'm in love. (Roy/Ed.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - aquaregia [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I knew pretty much from the very first illustration in the gallery that I wanted to rec this site because the art is just... lovely. The very first one is an illustration of Roy bending down on his knee in front of Ed, one hand on his arm, the other holding Ed's hand, a soft smile on his face (it's not as dippy as it sounds, honest!) where the lines and colors are fantastic--everything from Ed's hair to his jacket to Roy's uniform to everything is incredibly shaded and colored. And the lines are perfect! Not too thick to make it bulky, but not too thin as to make it overly delicate, they were juuuuust right. I fangirled so hard. ♥ The rest of the art is very cute as well, which makes me wish there were more of the artist's work here, because I really like her style. Plus, usagi!Ed is just too damned cute! XDXDXD (Roy/Ed.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I admit, I got here through the FMA under galleries search enging (*purrs happily*), but I wound up staying for the entire site because the artist draws a really fantastic Ed and she has this pretty CG-style coloring that's done in exactly the way I like it. It's not too gaudy, it's not too bright, it's just... not quite soft, but was done with a deft hand. Plus, there was a ton of oekaki art in the galleries, which was actually made up of some really cute stuff--you can tell that Ed is the artist's favorite and he really does look terrific for it. And I liked that she tried all sorts of different poses with the oekaki pages (Ed in the rain, Ed with kitty ears, Roy/Ed hugs, Ed being serious, Ed being annoyed, Ed in glasses, a few of the other characters, etc.). Very, very solid, fun site that I quite enjoyed. ♥ (Roy/Ed.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - You know, there are times when I almost prefer b&w sketch-like images over colored ones, because it lets you focus on the artist's lines and the colors don't distract you from the basic art. Well. At least when the artist's art is good, mind. Which this artist very much is. ♥ Her color art is wonderful, but it was the initial b&w images that won me over because the artist's lineart is very solidly well-done and adorable--when her Ed blushes, you just want to scoop him up and snuggle him to pieces. When he's sleeping in bed, his boxers tossed to the side, you go *UFUFUFUFUFU* at the implications and want to snuggle him to pieces. When he's being cranky you just want to snuggle him to pieces again. And when Roy's kissing him? *_______* The artist does all of Ed's expressions so wonderfully that I found myself terribly impressed and in love with the art. ♥♥♥ Plus? OMG THE VALENTINE'S DAY ART MADE ME SO HAPPY. *sparkles* (Roy/Ed.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - [ English Fanart Site ] - Every once in awhile I like to find English fanartists to recommed, just to get a little variety going--though, it tends to be difficult because not a lot of E-fanartists have websites. So it's nice to have DeviantArt to gather stuff up and I can find all of the artist's work in one place. ^_^v There were a couple of things that put this artist on my "Yeah, okay, I'm going to rec this art. <3" the most signifigant being the Roy/Ed bathtub illustration--I have this THING for pretty boys being draped over each other in the bathtub and this artist really made me squee for that. Plus? There's an absolutely HYSTERICAL one of Roy with a chibi Ed in his arms and a little chibi Envy hung up and on fire. XDXD Plus, there's a gorgeous Hawkeye illustration, some other cute Roy/Ed illustrations, and some really nice single character ones. Quite a nice site/artist. ^_^v (Some Roy/Ed, some gen.)

- Full Metal Alchemist - Metallica [ Thai Fanart Site ] - I came across this artist's work on her Deviant Art account and was impressed as hell by her art--there's this one page from a fanbook she's doing that's just fantastic--the lines are perfect, the details fantastic, and the expressions on Roy and Ed's faces are just... eeeeee!, I'm already fangirling over her books. She also has this absolutely adorable one of chibi!Ed with puppy ears and tail that IS SO FREAKING CUTE that I just shriek incoherently. She also has a gorgeous one of Roy and Ed from episode 13 while they're cleaning up afterwards with these beautiful golden colors and a fantastic expression on Ed's face. And there's a wonderful Valentine's illustration that made me fangirl quite a lot. So that's basically the reaction I had to this site--I squee'd a lot, I fangirled a lot, it was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed going through her DA account and just... sparkling over the art. (Some Roy/Ed, some gen.)
