- Gakuen Heaven/Togainu no Chi - Alice+ [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - It's really difficult for me to do art recs right now as I'm without my regular computer (which means I can't really save anything), but measuringlife has been tossing a few Gakuen Heaven art links at me here and there. I itched to dig into a lot of them, there were some pretty images here and there. And then I hit this site. This site with it's gorgeous, professional-quality art and beautiful characters and I knew I couldn't not rec it immediately. I started to cave a little at the soft, lovely, gentle pastel one of Kaoru-chan, colors that really suit him. But then it was the really, really hot one of Nakajima with his shirt half undone and his tie about to slide off his fingers and a sly look on his face that just completely did me in. Also? There is Omi/Nakajima and asdflkjasdlfkjasldfj I kind of love that pairing a lot. It's only the one illustration but that is all I need. It's mostly a general sort of site, there are far more single-character illustrations (of almost all the characters) than there are any pairings (there are only one or two maybe?) so it's a good site to visit no matter what your pairings are, I think. As for the Togainu no Chi side of things... well, given that I'm only vaguely familiar with the game, I can't really say much other than that the art is really kinda gorgeous. (No real warnings/pairing themes.)

- Gakuen Heaven/Togainu no Chi - Antique Silver [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - The first image on this site made me think I would pass it by. But the subsequent images appealed to me a lot more, you could see that the artist really was talented and could do lovely images when applied in a certain style. What I mean is that when she uses too many colors it takes away from that her basic lines are really good, so her b&w stuff is almost better than her color art. But then she starts using a softener filter and, oooh, that's so pretty with her work. There's one of Keita that's lovely, and then one of Kazuki in the rain, and a seriously hot b&w sketch of Kazuki with his shirt half undone (Yum. :9) and more and more and more gorgeous Kazuki. The comics also illustrate this really well because you can see what beautiful lines and shading she does. Keita's eyes are just stunning in certain panels and Kazuki continues to be gorgeous and their hair is just so soft and pretty. I also find I really love the artist's take on Keita when she draws those multi-toned highlights in his hair and... okay, I admit. When Kazuki/Keita is done like this, I warm up to the pairing even more. As for the Togainu no Chi art... well, there are only seven images on the board, but they're pretty enough to warrant a link, in my opinion. The details on the images, in clothes and hair and faces, is tremendous and beautiful, you can really see how talented the artist is. But, okay, mostly it was because the first one is a super, super hot one of Shiki. I'm weak. ♥ (Kazuki/Keita, but worth visiting for the Kazuki gen. No Togainu no Chi pairings.)

- Gakuen Heaven - CHOROP [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - There are only eight Gakuen Heaven illustrations on this site (not including the oekaki stuff, which is totally adorable and has Keita in a Little Red Riding Hood-esque outfit that is not to be missed), but I felt it was worth recommending anyway for a couple of reasons. It's one of the better sites out there, the art is really solid and good, the colors that warm style that I like so much. When the artist sets her mind to it, she can also do these really fanastic CG images of Keita that just shine because they're so well-done and pretty. But the main reason? There's a Naruse/Keita image that's pretty and I honest to god didn't expect to find that. Not that Kazuki/Keita isn't my preferred pairing for both of them, but I fell instantly in love with Naruse and his fanboying over Keita. The site is actually mostly Omi/Keita (and done well enough that I really, really liked it) but there's just enough of everything else (including the super-hot group image) to make it worthwhile for almost everyone, I think. (Some Omi/Keita, some other, some gen.)

- Gakuen Heaven - MilkJamCafe [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I seem to have hit the circle of fandom that's mostly Omi/Keita, so this will be another site that has a strong focus on them. Not completely, there's a lot of really solid Keita fanart (which is what won me over in the first place because I really like the way the artist draws Keita, the way it's that sharp, clear sort of CG the anime uses that I originally fell for) and... okay, I admit, part of it was that I liked the site because it had a couple of Naruse/Keita illustrations and one of Nakajima/Niwa/Kaoru-chan where Niwa was patting Kaoru-chan's head who looked about two seconds away from punching him and asdlfkjasdlfkjasd KING/QUEEN OTP SRSLY. Ahem. But it's mostly about Keita, Omi/Keita, and Everyone/Keita, the art being pretty and worth taking a look at. Whatever Keita pairing you have, there's probably at least one or two images to be found here. (Omi/Keita, some Other/Keita, some gen in a BL-ish sort of way.)

- Gakuen Heaven - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I wasn't originally going to rec this site, the art was interesting, but I was trying to limit the amount of time I spent in the fandom tonight. But then... I dunno. I started softening up at the interesting style, especially the illustration of Kaoru-chan with his hair fanning off into a peach-colored background. And then... somewhere it was like the artist's style hit a level-up and her characters were now hot. The Halloween illustration, I think, was the turning point, where her art went from interesting/cute to WHOA THAT'S KINDA PRETTY THERE and I've liked everything she's done since. There's this utterly hot one of Kazuki that kind of made my mind threaten to blow and there's a really nice one of Nakajima so that he hits that tall, dark, glasses-wearing type of mine... also, there's a b&w sketch of him in the junk section and, holy crap, it's hot. And on it goes--if there's any pairing here, it's probably Kazuki/Keita, but it's actually focused more on a gen smatter. Well. I mean. It's still a BL series, but. A good site for anyone with a basic interest in the series, I'd say. (Mostly gen-ish, some Kazuki/Keita, maybe a little Other/Keita.)

- Gakuen Heaven - Spiegel Fish [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I was a little impressed right from the beginning, the artist used light, vivid colors really well with her single-character illustrations. But, man, then I got a little further in and her Nakajima and Shinomiya illustrations (seperately, I couldn't really pinpoint any pairings on the site) are gorgeous sometimes. A lot of the art doesn't wow me on the same level as the small handful that are really stunningly gorgeous, but it's a solid site with a few that are really worth going for. It's got a wide selection of all the main characters, so you'll probably find something you like, no matter your preferences. (No real warnings/pairings.)

- Gakuen Heaven - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - It seems like a lot of the sites I'm recommending lately are ones that I'm not completely over the moon for, ones that I waffle over until eventually the whole of the site wins me over more than any one particular image. This site is in that same vein, I waffled on it for awhile but eventually, there was enough art that was really quite decent and even really cute in places that I warmed up and thought it was definitely worth the visit. The b&w comics are especially fun, they show off the artist's ability to draw well and put in a lot of details, you can even see she's got an eye for layouts. She uses her CG-esque style to really good effect in them, too, you can see that she could be professional-quality if she keeps at it. The color art is adorable at times, the Kazuki/Keita fan in me happy to see such adorable art for them, really. And, actually, there's a series of single-character illustrations that's very nice, the Kazuki/Keita kiddie stuff is sweet, but... I enjoyed the images of Niwa and Kaoru-chan respectively a lot, they were preeeetty. (Kazuki/Keita, some gen.)

- Gakuen Heaven - VOICE-MO [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - In my continuing quest to find more Kaoru-chan fanart, I stumbled over this site. It's probably not going to be for everyone, but I like that the artist actually manages to make the character look a lot more like himself. The colors are very bright, but that suits his character, he's very much pink and green and that really shows here... plus, the artist gets better as she goes along, so that I'm quite interested in how well she'll draw in the future. The site is mostly Keita/Kaoru-chan or Kaoru-chan by himself with occasional other pairings sprinkled in here and there, which is one of those pairings that still vaguely delights me, just 'cause it's great how Kaoru-chan both tops and bottoms to Keita in the game. A nice site for fans of Kaoru-chan, a good one to round out the collection/travels if you're going on a spree. (Keita/Kaoru-chan, a little other, some gen.)

- Gakuen Heaven [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - So, I've mentioned that I'm a little easier on sites that have Niwa/Kaoru-chan fanart, yes? Okay, just checking. Though, in all seriousness, I actually liked the King/Queen stuff the most on this site, there were a couple of rakugaki illustrations that were really, truly pretty and there was a pr0ny multi-page comic with Niwa/Kaoru-chan. and it was pretty, too! The rest of the site is a bit shakey, not much really stood out for me, but sometimes all I need is a small handful of art to make a site absolutely shine for me, even if it's just b&w, light, airy sketches. (Which is actually a style I quite like.) There's even one pretty Niwa/Nakajima fanart and a couple of interesting Kaoru-chan ones, so it was a nice way to build up my collection of art. ♥ (Niwa/Kaoru-chan, some other, some gen.)

- Prince of Tennis/Gakuen Heaven - 15syndrome [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I was kind of leaning towards recommending this site even from the first few 300x300 images, they were well-drawn, there was a pretty Fuji, there was a pretty Ryoga. But then. asldkfjalskjfd, there's this one of Tezuka and it kind of doesn't look like him, especially without the glasses, but it also kinda totally does look like him and it's so damn pretty and hot. It's just this simple little b&w (well, blue-ish, really) sketch of him and it's somehow the most gorgeous thing to me. The site is full of little cracky images or beautifully highlighted/colored CG-type illustrations and maybe I've been here because the TezuFuji looks vaguely familiar, but I don't care because it's cute and makes me a little hyper. Shush. It's worth it when that Holloween chibi one of Fuji, Eiji, and Ryoma is the cutest thing in the world. Sadly, there's only five illustrations in the Gakuen Heaven section already, but I'm including it for the nice style the artist has and two images in particular--there's an insanely hot one of Keita in an open shirt, green tie, and nothing else. And then there's this beautiful, bright, vivid one of Kazuki that the colors of it practically leap right off the screen. I'd like to see more from the artist, so! (Tezuka/Fuji, a smidge of Oishi/Eiji, some gen. No real GH pairings.)

- Gurren Lagann - FEVER!! [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I was actually looking for Tales of the Abyss art, I had a bunch of tabs open and I was going through the links pages and saw some intriguing Gurren Lagann banners I hadn't seen before and a few minutes later... right back to Gurren Lagann fanart. Not that I'm complaining because it led me here and I really like this site. There's not a ton of art here, but it's really solid stuff, very sharp and professional looking when the artist really tries. And, yeah, it helped that the artist's Nia is totally cute and her Kamina/Yoko illustration was really hot and even her oekaki was pretty rocking. I loved pretty much every piece on the site. ♥ (Some Kamina/Yoko, some Simon/Nia, some gen.)

- Gurren Lagann - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - What won me over with this site is that the coloring is really kind of great, it reminds me very much of the anime itself... or at least an anime cel style. And, yes, there's not a lot of art here and the style is very obviously CG, but I sort of like that. There's an image or two that I'm not sure about, but what really won me over was the way Kamina looked, he's very much like how he was in canon. Simon is often similiarly canon-esque, if a bit cuter than usual, and the site was... it was a nice little stop on my fanart hunting spree. (....nothing I'm going to warn for.)

- Gurren Lagann - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I am very easy for sites when they have fanart of Nia and Yoko in addition to having art of Kamina and Simon, because one of the things I liked best about Gurren Lagann was the relationships between all of the characters and how awesome they all were. The art on this site is often times extremely simple, there are broad lines that make for really cute images, but other times... the artist does something really interesting and cool with the art. Nearly all the Yoko illustrations are kinda seriously hot and Nia is so adorable. She can often draw Simon in really dramatic, cool poses. ....and other times she puts Simon in a dress. XDDD So, as is often the case, the site isn't going to be for everyone, but you'll probably find at least something there you'll like. (A little Kamina/Simon, a tiny smidge of Nia/Yoko, a little NSFW content, but there's a lot more gen than anything else.)
