- Harukanaru Toki no Nakade - Good Night by KatiKat - [Note: Potential spoilers for the HaruToki anime series.] Aww, yay for HaruToki fic! Especially when it's Tomomasa/Takamichi! And it was a sweet, gentle little story about a moment in the anime, about the way Takamichi feels, the way Tomomasa just sort of... understands him and knows what to say, along with cute little touches like Tomomasa pushing up the glasses on Takamichi's face or helping him into bed. Awww. *sparkles happily* (Tomomasa/Takamichi.)

- Harukanaru Toki no Nakade - Gardenia by Michalyn - *___* Wow, this was... what caught my attention immediately is that the author had a tremendous gift for imagery that fit the HaruToki series, but this pairing in particular. The way she weaves all these beautiful pictures together with Takamichi's perspective and this incredible feeling of... intimacy when all Tomomasa is really doing is sitting down next to him just absolutely put stars in my eyes. Oh, man, this is what I wanted from the fandom, because it's... I mean, it's them. Right down to the dialogue or the way their shoulders brush, this just... it's everything that attracted me to HaruToki. ....shut up, I know I'm fawning. (Tomomasa/Takamichi.)

- Harukanaru Toki no Nakade - Waiting by Michalyn - Another story that's just... there's this feel to it that I can't explain. It's something like a weighted feeling, it's something like an elegant line or turn of phrase, but something about it just speaks to me of HaruToki and Tomomasa's character. The almost lyrical or poetic style of the writing really works for the character, especially the way he thinks about Takamichi. When he thinks about the way Takamichi felt against him, the way he would hold a book, the color that would spread across his face that makes the sunset pale in comparison--it's all done in that same way that makes Tomomasa charming, when it should be so silly and cheesy. He's... romantic, but can carry it off. Lovely, lovely fic. (Tomomasa/Takamichi.)

- Harukanaru Toki no Nakade - Hotaru by Michalyn - *___* So, I mentioned the pretty writing and imagery, yes? Because, wow, how lovely, how perfectly fitting for the HaruToki world (which is really a very beautiful, very detailed, very elegant world), how lovely for these two characters when all they're doing is walking along together and looking at fireflies. But... the way Takamichi looks at the young boy trying to catch the fireflies, the way Tomomasa weighs his words and speaks with a double meaning... it took my breath away. Such beautiful colors to this fic, which is... I mean, I know it's an odd thing to remark on in a text-based genre here, but I could just see all these beautiful colors of the game/manga/anime, these gorgeous shades that blend together, because the author's descriptions are beautiful without getting in the way of the story she's telling. I'm just going to be over here in the corner wibbling to myself now, okay? (Tomomasa/Takamichi.)

- Harukanaru Toki no Nakade - Shoji by Michalyn - With another series, with other characters, the style this fic is written in might not have worked for me, the heavy imagery might have been too much, but here... it works, because it's HaruToki, because it's Tomomasa and his language is often sprinkled liberally with comparisons to elegant and beautiful things in the world. Watching Takamichi serve tea to the official from another country, noting the way he looks at Takamichi, the posessive air to his thoughts while still being Tomomasa... I really do love the... traditional, old-world feeling to the pieces? Which just make the stories come alive, really. (Tomomasa/Takamichi.)

- Harukanaru Toki no Nakade - To Yield by flight_of_ideas - [Note: There are a lot of spoilers for Izayoiki in this fic.] Admittedly, I probably shouldn't be reading Harutoki3 fic because I'm still cobbling together info about the storyline (seriously, why can't I just play it? T__T), but... Masaomi/Kurou fic! I didn't think that would exist in English! And I couldn't pass the chance up. I liked that it helped give me a strong idea of the world and was just... awwww, I love these two already so much. Picturing the expressions flashing across Kurou's face, the way Masaomi touched/shook him, the way the characters went through such obvious troubles/hardships... it was a really, really nice fic. <3 (Masaomi/Kurou.)
