- Prince of Tennis/Saiyuki/Yami no Matsuei/Peace Maker - W-Grip [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - *bounce*bounce* This site has some wonderful TezukaFuji and OishiEiji, just... the kind that make me go *hanyaaaa~n*. And then there's the CHIBI-TEZUKAFUJI THAT I'M GOING TO SHRIEK OVER BECAUSE IT'S JUST SO GODDAMNED CUTE!!!!! ....sorry. ^_^;; These illustrations are full of nicely subtle colors, soft looks or touches, somehow managing to be wonderfully gay, yet not Supa!Gay, the kind I just adore, the occcasionaly goddamned cute chibis, and, wow do I adore those Hyotei group illustrations. Just... my love for these illustrations cannot be conveyed with mere words, just like my love for TezukaFuji cannot be conveyed with mere words. I cannot shove people at this site fast enough. ^_^

The Saiyuki illustrations are much the same, a lot of them, full of nice colors, good drawing skill, cool poses, and the group illustrations are fantastic--especially the later ones. Just... damn. *_*v

The Yami no Matsuei art I swear I've seen before, but I don't have the URL in my files anywhere, so... erm... this site may get rec'd twice. The Yamimatsu illustrations remind me of some style that I've seen before, but that I can't quite put my finger on, possibly some yaoi manga or something. Anyway, they're pretty good, the artist has a lot of talent for cool-looking poses/designs for them, making them look more like paitings or posters for the series rather than just fanart. Oh! Going through the gallery, I recognize that one of Tsuzuki with the dog as being from a doujinshi, so that's also contributing to why I recognize this style. Anyway, good, solid, fun art here, too. ^_^v

The Peace Maker (It always surprises me when I come across PM fanart, because I assume I'm the only one who's ever heard of it. ^_^;;; ) fanart is quite nice as well, which is wonderful for such a rare series. ....anyway, I'll shut up about this site now. (TezukaFuji, OishiEiji, Sanzo+Gojyo, Sanzo+Hakkai, Gojyo+Hakkai, Tatsumi+Tsuzuki, Muraki+Tsuzuki, other mild shounen ai vibes.)

- Peace Maker - Shikisensai [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - As pretentious as this sounds, it takes a certain type of Peace Maker site to get me interested, because I like the series, but... I dunno, I haven't hit a really good obsessive phase yet. However, I randomly surfed onto this site and it's one of those that just captures the feel of the characters so exquisitely that I'm enthralled with the art. The artist does an absolutely lovely Souji and I lust after her Hijikata. She uses these light, airy colors that somehow still manage to be angsty and painful, much like the series itself and the couple themselves. And I just... I wibble whenever Hijikata LOOKS at Souji or whenever those long arms wrap around that slim frame and hold him close or whenever Souji smiles up at him with bright eyes... the artist has really nailed that feel they have, of saying so very much without words, that need for each other, even when they're not doing anything. This site absolutely and utterly speaks to the Hijikata/Souji fan in me. Plus? A LOT of art and a smut page if you can find it~ *twirls happily* And gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous comics. *__* I was sad when the art for this site ended~ (Hijikata/Souji.)

- Peace Maker - Silver Shield [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This was... wow, the art here is fantastic. The artist starts off a little shakey (though, for her, "shakey" just means that her proportions are slightly off and the art is still fantastic), but about four illustrations in she just... holy crap, she nails the PMK anime style, completely and utterly. Gorgeous, gorgeous CG art here, the kind that looks like it could almost be official art because it's so well-drawn and detailed and colored. But, not only that, she draws the BESTEST wibble-worthy Hijikata/Souji illustrations and a gorgeous Tetsu and a gorgeous Yamazaki and a gorgeous Shinpachi and a gorgeous Suzu and... well, you get the idea. All of her art is stunning, in that way that I just didn't want the gallery to end at all. The Detective Academy Q fanart is much of the same, just... wow, this could pass for official art, what with the lines and colors and details and just... *falls in love* Also, be sure to wander all over the site, there's art tucked away in various corners--like the Souji gallery tucked away in an obscure corner that I almost didn't find, but has some gorgeous art in it. *__* (Some shounen ai, Hijikata/Souji, no DAQ pairings.)

- Peace Maker - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - The art on this site is a little odd, it might not necessarily be the type I usually rec or like, but... I dunno, something about the style is mild enough that I still really liked it and then the artist coupled it with some really nice detail and some pretty colors so... yeah, I liked it. It helps that the artist really draws a very pretty Souji covered in blood and that her Suzu is incredible. I mean, as much as I love Souji, her Suzu is really the highlight of this site. Though, Christmas!Souji was absolutely adorable and certainly tugged at me, too. XD Oh! There was also a couple of adorable Hijikata/Souji comics that I adored to pieces (I think her work with them actually looks even better in b&w) and... err, well, yes. Pretty site. <3 (No real pairing theme.)

- Howl's Moving Castle/Harukanaru Toki no Nakade 3/Death Note/Peacemaker - MELROSE'S [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - ....well, god knows I haven't managed to learn the HaruToki3 characters' names yet, so I'm going to be crap at explaining which characters are represented well, but, man, do I love this site. It's got amazing HaruToki3 art, the level of details of the characters' costumes and hair and eyes is just fantastic. Plus, it's the HMC site that I've been looking for since I finished the movie and the book, the one that isn't just cute or adorable, but the art is beautiful. The artist has everything, the style, the lines, the coloring, the incredible detail, the sense of fun, all of it comes together and looks so clean and professional and amazing. There are certain illustrations on the site that are the kind I can spend a good five minutes looking at them (Howl curled up on his bed in his room from the movie being one of them... or, god, Howl and Sophie sitting in a tree on a cold night with all these beautiful lights surrounding them... *__*), but even the sketches are fantastic because you can see that the artist's basic lineart is amazingly solid. Some of her Peacemaker sketches wound up being some of my favorites because you could see that she wasn't just covering up with a lot of detail or shiny colors, the basic b&w lineart itself was fantastic and the characters looked just... I flap my hands and gush over this site because, yes, I've been looking for this one for awhile now. ♥ (Howl/Sophie, HaruToki3 het, some Peacemaker shounen ai maybe, no DN warnings/pairings.)
