- Katekyou Hitman REBORN! - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This is one of those sites where I think maybe I liked the b&w stuff more than the color stuff (even though I kept wanting to find more color art at the same time, huh), something about that seems to draw my eye better to the interesting detail the artist puts into the images. I'm sure I was biased towards this site because there's a lot of Xanxus and Squalo (and Tsuna and some Yamamoto) art here and I've been intrigued by that pairing a lot lately, but... it really is interesting stuff to look at. The comics and the splash-page-style illustrations are my favorites, it's a style I've been weak to ever since getting into FMA and One Piece (which would often have fanart in that kinda style), but everything here is really fun or really cool to look at. Not necessarily going to wow everyone, but it's grown to be one of my favorite kind of styles, so I loved the site. (Mostly gen, but some Yamamoto/Squalo, some Xanxus/Squalo, some Xanxus/Squalo/Tsuna, some Squalo/Tsuna, some Hibari/Tsuna, some Mukuro/Tsuna, some other possible pairings.)
- Katekyou Hitman REBORN!/Death Note - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - The art on this site starts out cute, if a little shakey, but quickly becomes really, really pretty. The artist puts in a lot of detail, which is nice, but it's more the... the use of colors and something that almost glows in them. If I were just looking at b&w, I think I would like them, but when I see the artist's colors, they become really that much more outstanding. The artist does an amazing job with Mukuro especially, but it's also worth visiting the site for the gorgeous Colonello illustration, the stunning Hyper Dying Will Tsuna illustration, and even the pairing stuff is really cute. As for the Death Note stuff, I think it's a bit older, so it's not quite as strong, but the artist does some really cool concepts--Raito against the stained glass church windows is one of my favorites--and somewhat of a variety of the main trio that I wound up really liking it, too. (Mostly a gen site, but some Mukuro/Tsuna, a smidge of Hibari/Tsuna. Gen for Death Note.)
- Naruto/Katekyou Hitman REBORN!/Gintama - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I probably would have skipped right past the Naruto section on this site if not for a few things: I do really like the artist's style, it's interesting and cool to look at, it's not a style I see super-often, but when it's done well, it's good. The Sasuke stand-alone character art was fun for me to look at, the almost b&w style the artist has is a little reminiscent of a shounen manga style (different enough from Kishimoto's to be interesting, but similar enough to be recognizable, a good balance) and I know there are a lot of people who like Kakashi/Sasuke. As for the REBORN! art, the style suits the characters as well (though, I thought maybe the Naruto art was a little bit better done) and the artist's Gokudera is especially fantastic. The amazing amount of detail she puts into illustrations with him is terrific. ♥ Though, I think the Gintama art might just be the best out of them all, since the detail and b&w-esque style works so perfectly with the feel of the Gintama art, it's very canon-like! (Kakashi/Sasuke for Naruto. Maybe some Mukuro/Tsuna for REBORN!, but mostly gen. Mostly gen for Gintama.)
- Katekyou Hitman REBORN! - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This site is a little bit hit-or-miss for me (which I seem to be feeling a lot lately), but I found that the more I went through the gallery, the more I was drawn into the artist's style and the more I found I genuinely liked the art. Maybe it's the artist's use of colors that create interesting pieces, but when she really focuses, I like the lineart itself a lot, too. There's also a nice selection of the various regular characters It's not going to be for everyone, but there were a couple of Mukuro/Chrome or Hibari illustrations (or one really gorgeous Gokudera one *__*) that I thought were definitely worth the site. (Nothing I'm really going to warn for.)
- Katekyou Hitman REBORN! - crunch [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - The very first illustration I clicked onto with this site was a really lovely Bel/Tsuna illustration... which is both a rare pairing but also interesting, because it was so pretty. The artist uses these really light, airy, glowing, almost-pastel colors that make everything really kinda nice--the basic lineart is cute enough, but I totally fell for this site because of the colors. I'm easy for that sort. *g* There's also a fair amount of art on the site, which is always nice. :D (Some various yaoi pairings, but nothing regular enough to mention, and it's mostly gen.)
- Katekyou Hitman REBORN! - TNK... [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - You know, strangely enough, it wasn't the color art on this site that won me over, it was the sketches section, with the artist's b&w stuff that I really liked. There are some really fantastic little pieces in those galleries, the lines are just a smidge messy, but in the way that makes them look prettier. The artist clearly favors Gokudera, but I like that there's a solid selection of just about all the characters--one of my favorite pieces was actually of Xanxus in one of the more recent pages. ....also, the Tsuna/Gokudera didn't hurt my feelings at all, some of the sketches were really, really cute! I had fun with this site, it was a nice little stop. <3 (Some Tsuna/Gokudera, some other, some gen.)
- Katekyou Hitman REBORN!/Inuyasha - choeX [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I wavered a little on this site, it was cute, but I was sort of in the mood for Tsuna/Gokudera more than anything. But the Gokudera solo illustration was pretty and there was a very canon-esque style to the artist's work and then there was this really sweet rooftop Tsuna/Gokudera doujinshi and I was kind of caving. But what really did me in was that there was a Dino/Hibari illustration on the site, too! *flails* And it was kind of super hot, too. ♥ It's the only one (that I saw--well, except they do show up in a later comic) on the site, but it was enough to push me over the edge just enough, and decide that I liked this site. It's primarly a Gokudera fansite, it's got a lot of standalones with him and then a bunch of the usual Gokudera pairings, but what sells it is that the artist's style is very close to canon-esque at times with the character and then just really cute when she does her own thing. Most of the art is also doujinshi-like comics/pages, but they're strong enough and there's enough of them that I liked the site a lot. As for the Inuyasha art, I had planned to just pass by that section, it's been ages since I felt the urge to look at art for the series, but I liked the artist's REBORN! work enough that I got curious. And as;dlfkjaslkj it was so pretty! The artist's Inuyasha and Miroku especially looked really fantastic, so I caved. XD Her wet!Miroku, which is the first illustration that I saw, is especially so pretty. *__* (Some Tsuna/Gokudera, some Yamamoto/Gokudera, a little other, some gen for REBORN!. Some Miroku/Inuyasha, but a lot of gen, too.)
- Katekyou Hitman REBORN! - Ryugo [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I came here for the REBORN! art, obviously, but you know what was awesome about this site? Aside from the super-pretty art, that is. There was Host Club art! Host Club art with a Kyouya/Tamaki-friendly bent! That just totally made my day right there. ♥ But I'm recommending this site for the REBORN! art (only because there's not quite enough Host Club art) because it's really gorgeous stuff--the lines are sharp, the colors are slick, the kind of style that's really professional level quality. Some of the illustrations have all this detail on them, just the little things like tons of hair or a bunch of wrinkles in their clothes or the shading on their skin, and it was just really pretty. The site doesn't really focus on a single character or pairing (though, Hibari and the Varia show up a lot), which is also nice! Plus, man, some of those Hibari illustrations with Mukuro or Dino or even just by himself? So. Hot. (Some various yaoi pairings, but nothing consistent enough to warn for.)
- Katekyou Hitman REBORN! - HARIYA [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - If I hadn't started with the most recent art and worked my way backwards or if this site hadn't had a large focus on Xanxus and Squalo, I'm not sure how I would have reacted to it. (Also, I may have recommended this site before, but, eh.) But approaching the site the way I did made me really kinda fond of the rougher art style and the style is a really good fit for characters like those two. There are some others that appear, especially early on, but if you're going here, you'd probably be best off as a Varia fan. (Though, there is at least one smoking hot Dino illustration, so.) Plus, there's actually kind of a lot of art here! :D And I really liked the sketches, they soften the artist's style up a bit, making them even prettier, mm. (Some Xanxus/Squalo, some gen.)
- Katekyou Hitman REBORN! - ROSSO [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I was sort of half-heartedly going thorugh this site's galleries, thinking that the artist was doing solid work, but it hadn't quite hit me yet, and I was clicking randomly and I realized that this site had... Spanner/Tsuna art. Really, really pretty Spanner/Tsuna art! So, I started over from the top of the gallery and worked my way through it, coming to be charmed by the artist's Byakuran/Mukuro art as well! You'd think there'd be more art of that pairing, wouldn't you? And yet this might be the first site I've seen with it, iirc? Though, it's really the Spanner/Tsuna art (or at least the most current art, which is mostly devoted to that pairing) that's the real prize on this site, it's so pretty and shiny and detailed and really kinda nails canon's style. Also, once you get into the more current log art, it's more really cute stuff, and the site was quite satisfying size-wise (and diverse with the characters! the Hibari stuff is especially nice) as well. I was pleased. (Some Spanner/Tsuna, some Byakuran/Mukuro, some other, some gen.)
- Katekyou Hitman REBORN! - WK.com [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This site starts out a little rough, but it was still very solid and had Xanxus/Squalo and a little bit of Bel/Squalo, which put me in the right frame of mind. As the site went along, the artist got better and then there was Byakuran/Shouichi art, which I'd been looking for! The artist does well with the canon style and her work improves with each illustration, which makes me really, really want more from her now, some of her current stuff is really pretty. I wish there'd been more art here right now, but as it is, it's a solid little site that was worth the time it took for me to go through it and I'm eager for more from her. ♥ (Xanxus/Squalo, Byakuran/Shouichi, some other, some gen.)
- Katekyou Hitman REBORN! - RisingStar [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I'm not sure how I got to this site anymore, since it's one of those that has a variety of match-ups on it, but I'm glad I did. It was a solid little site, not much art, but a really nice, clean style with some bright, shiny colors. Actually, the Mukuro/Chrome art is really, really cute, the one of them lying together in the grass is just lovely. But there's also at least one SUPER CUTE Kyoko and some fabulous group art that has so many colors and they're that jewel-toned stuff that I'm so weak to. The Mukuro/Tsuna/Chrome art is really cute, too. Anyway, not a lot of art, but some of the illustrations verge on gorgeous and it's not pairings I see that often. So, thumbs up from me! (Some Mukuro/Tsuna/Chrome, some Mukuro/Chrome, some other het, some gen.)
- Katekyou Hitman REBORN! - Baghdad Sky [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - One of the next sites I stumbled over this one and I apparently had a run of good luck with art sites because I wound up really liking this one. Initially I was really kind of curious about it because it had Gokudera/Haru art and it's such a strange pairing that I had to see how it worked and then there was Bianchi art and then more Gokudera/Haru and a lot of really pretty Gokudera art and all of it was this shiny sort of coloring that I really liked and just... it was kinda cool. A bit on the sketchy side, but the artist's style made it work, I think. Her more current stuff and her TYL!Gokudera and her older Haru are kind of smoking hot, too. Just. Wow. *__* ....it's sites like this that are kind of making me weak to the idea of Gokudera/Haru almost kind of seriously. *__* At the very least, I think this site is worth visiting for the Haru fanart because how often do you find genuinely GOOD art of her? Or of Bianchi? (Gokudera/Haru, Yamamoto/Gokudera, some gen.)
- Katekyou Hitman REBORN! - Blueprint Map [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This site starts off a little sketchy, but it really only took me about four or five links into the gallery to warm up to it. Part of that is, yes, I like Hibari and Dino/Hibari, but the art actually does get really pretty really fast. One of the first color ones with Hibari, one of him against a backdrop of dark sakura trees is really kind of beautiful and it gets better from there. The artist draws a very hot Hibari when she puts her mind to it and her Mukuro and her Dino are also pretty smoking. Also, her series of cast members in warm winter jackets? Omg yes plz. This site turned out to be kind of a real little treasure that I'm so glad I stumbled over, both for the usual pairings and the rare Hibari het pairings--Hibari/I-Pin? Hibari/Kyoko? Even some Hibari/Chrome? I'm up for that. *__* (A myriad of potential pairings, both het and yaoi, a lot of gen.)
- Katekyou Hitman REBORN! - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I tried to resist this site a bit at first, the art wasn't bad at all, it had some really nice Mukuro and Chrome art, but there wasn't a lot of it and it wasn't 100% wowing me. But it was pretty enough that I wanted to keep going through the gallery anyway and... once I hit the oekaki/log section, I kind of fell for the site. I dunno what it is about oekaki that I'm weak to, but the first few I saw were Hibari illustrations and I love a good b&w high-contrast image of Hibari. Then the Mukuro/Chrome ones were really super cute and pretty and some of the best work is in that section, I think, and then there's one of Hibari all wrapped up for winter wrapping Hibird up, too. Who was I to resist the extreme adorable? I had to. <3 (Some Mukuro/Chrome, a lot of gen.)
