- Soul Eater - Ruhe [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - The art on this site isn't always perfect and probably isn't going to be for everyone, but there's something about it that I really liked. Whether the surprising amount of detail put into their hair and clothes or the softened and light, airy colors, I'm not sure, but... I was charmed by the way the characters looked and how cute the illustrations got over the course of the site. Plus, the artist draws super adorable Soul/Maka and I'm slowly being won over to those two as a pairing. There's a fair amount of illustrations to be found on the site and it was good for a quick stop this afternoon, I was pleased. (Some Soul/Maka, some gen.)

- Soul Eater - zero [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Okay, there are only like ten illustrations on the site so far, but the fandom is still really small (at the time I'm writing this rec at least?) so I'm willing to go with smaller sites, but also... the art on this site is really solid, it's very clean and professional looking. And, well, okay. I knew I was going to cave on this site when I stumbled across Mifune art. I don't think I'd seen a single illustration of him until then! The artist covers most of the regular cast members and there are a couple of Franken/DeathScythe illustrations and th-that may have made me happy, too. *__* One of the stronger Soul Eater sites out there, though. Plus! There's only one Amatsuki illustration for now (hence why I couldn't recommend it yet) but it, too, is lovely. ♥ (Maybe some Franken/DeathScythe? I would have thought it a gen site if not for the info page?)

- Soul Eater - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - You know, I hit on this site almost entirely by accident, I was looking for some other stuff (possibly REBORN! or something) and went, oh, hey, there's some Soul Eater art here, I'll just take a quick look~~ And I was kind of surprised by how much I really quite liked this site, despite that there's not really a lot of art here. Some of the art is very rough or sketchy, but occasionally the artist just does a beautiful job--there are a couple of great Franken/DeathScythe illustrations, an adorable one of Patty, some really cute Chrona illustrations and just... it was a fun, cool little site! I'm really glad to have found it! ♥ (Some Franken/DeathScythe, maybe a little other, some gen.)

- Soul Eater - Soul Candy [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This site is a bit different from usual, the art style isn't really like canon, it's very much the artist's own style, but... I dunno, something about it was really interesting to me. It helps that there's a large selection of various characters and it's neat to see them all in the artist's style, as well as some of the Frankenstein illustrations are especially nice. I also really like the artist's Tsubaki and her Kid art and her Maka is super-cute. Just a fun, interesting little site. (No real warnings/pairings.)

- Soul Eater - NOx [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - missdeep pointed this link out after I'd started doing some Soul Eater recs and I really liked it a lot--there's not a lot here, only four illustrations in the main gallery (at the time of this rec), but they're really solid, cleanly colored pieces that look very good. Plus, you can find a bit more art in the blog for a bunch more sketches and little mini-illustrations that look almost as good as the fully realized stuff. It helps that the artist seems to like both Stein and DeathScythe (she definitely does a very nice DeathScythe, though I have to admit a preference for her Stein, who looks fantastic) and... I'm not sure, if they're pairing illustrations or meant to be totally gen? Either way. *__* (Maybe Stein/DeathScythe, maybe totally gen. Lots of gen, too, either way.)

- Soul Eater/Shaman King - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I don't know if this site is going to appeal to everyone, the art is very chibi-esque and cute, but I really kind of liked it. It's not that far off from the canon style and as the artist goes along, she does some really cool things with cel-style coloring. Plus, yeah, okay, I'm weak to artists who do some really cool little Death the Kid fanart. ♥ You can tell he's totally the artist's favorite, but there's also an adorable one of Maka sleeping on the crescent moon and some super cute Chrona (and possibly Chrona/Maka?) art, so it's got a decent balance going for it. There's not a lot of art, but what's here is really fun. <3 As for the Mankin art, it's very cutesy and focuses a lot on the X-Laws, which isn't something I'd really seen much art for. It's very cutesy, you can tell they're older than the Soul Eater illustrations, but the novelty alone made me cave. And they really are cute illustrations! There's one of Marco that looks really awesome even. <3 (Nothing I'm really going to warn for.)

- Soul Eater - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - It only took me a handful of pages to know that I was going to really like this site--the art is really cute and I think the artist has drawn nearly every notable character in the whole series? And there's some really, really cute Soul/Maka art! All things I've been wanting to see. ♥ The artist uses a lot of lighter colors and it makes everything look really cute, which fits with the manga art style, I thought. Her drawings are really solid, especially her more recently stuff looks really good and the Soul/Maka illustrations are delightful--the kissing ones are wonderful, but I think maybe I love the one of them in their outfits in Soul's soul even more. *__* Not everything on the site is perfect, but there's a decent amount of art and a lot of it really appealed to me, so it was a very solid, entertaining site. *__* (Some Soul/Maka, some gen.)

- Soul Eater - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This is another one that I wandered over towards during my search for Stein/Spirit art (though, this site actually has a little) but wound up staying for other reasons. There's not a lot of art here and it's fairly simple, but it's... not precisely canon art, but it's really, really recognizable as the characters, there's something really kinda cool about that. Plus, there's an illustration of Mifune holding Angela-chan and I already knew I wanted to rec the site, but that just totally put me over the top. THEY ARE SO ADORABLE I CAN HARDLY STAND IT. ♥ There's also a little more cute art in the oekaki section as well, making it a decently satisfying site. (A little Stein/Spirit, a lot of gen.)

- Soul Eater - SSS [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - At this point, I'm pretty much just going through every link in the Stein/DeathScythe catagory at the Soul Eater search engine, regardless of whether or not the link intrigued me, and sometimes that totally pays off, because I get a delightfully fun site like this. It might not be for everyone, the art is rather sketchy, but I think that works for the artist, it just makes it cuter! Her little chibi Stein illustration or her little chibi doggy Spirit clinging with a death grip to Stein's leg are probably the highlights of the site, but! The artist also draws a lot of the rest of the cast--there's a really cool Blair illustration and a Medusa one that I liked a lot, a bunch of Chrona images that are nicely done, and so forth. Her Maka is super cute as well. ♥ So, there's not a ton of art here, but it's a good selection and it's light, cute fun, that's all I ask of Soul Eater right now. (A smidge of Stein/Spirit, but it's mostly a gen site, I'd say.)

- Soul Eater - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - If I'd been paying a bit more attention, I might not have wandered onto this site, because... Stein/Maka?? It's... not something that would have occurred to me. Yet, I'm really glad I went to the site anyway, because the art is really kind of awesome, the artist does kind of a fantastic job of making illustrations that look like anime screen captures. And, you know. Her Stein is really nice, especially when he's being all looming and creepy. *__* I love the one of Maka in a stitched up labcoat like his and then there's one of Maka adjusting Kid's tie and it's just. A really nice little site. <3 (Stein/Maka? Maybe a little other.)

- Soul Eater - Kurokuro. [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I pretty much only had to get about two or three illustrations into this site to be officially sold on it, because the b&w style with the dark red backgrounds create such a fantastic mood for a character like Chrona, especially when the art is actually really pretty good. And, really, poor Chrona, her life is full of so much suck and looking at these illustrations reminds me of that and yet... they're so well done that I can't help recommending it anyway. (....maybe not quite safe for work, but no other pairing warnings I'm going to mention.)

- Soul Eater - CLASS6 [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - You know, I actually wrote down the link for this site a few days ago and since then it's already been updated with a handful more illustrations, so it might be worth keeping an eye on, even if there's not a whole lot of art on the site just yet. But what I really liked about this site is the Soul/Maka art, the clean style of the artist is really nice, her b&w line art illustrations show that she's got a really solid and clean style, and her coloring is that anime cel-style that I like a lot. But it's the one of Soul and Maka kissing that won me over the most. Though, the semi-current one of naked!Tsubaki? Yeah, that was really nice, too. ♥ (Some Soul/Maka, some gen.)

- Soul Eater - KR [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This is another site where there's not a ton of art, but there's a handful of illustrations and they're very nicely done. The artist definitely has her own style, but there's something really sleek and polished about several of the illustrations that was kind of impressive. I like the coloring a lot, especially on the artist's illustrations of Chrona. The handful of Stein images didn't exactly hurt my feelings, either. XD So, not a big site, but it was an interesting little stop along the way and I'd like to see more from this artist. (No warnings/pairings.

) - Soul Eater - ZERO-COUNT [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - With this site, I think I was influenced by two things. The first being that, well, I like the Stein/Spirit pairing a lot, so of course I'm going to gravitate towards any site with art for them. The second is that the top illustration at the time I visited the site kind of struck me, it was the style that I associate with more old-school art, the more pink-ish colors for skin tones, the heavy sketch-like lines around the edges, and it was... kind of nostalgic. Going through the rest of the gallery, it's a solid little site with some intriguing art and the artist keeps getting better at her drawings--plus, it has one of a younger Spirit and Stein, then one of Justin that I was delighted to see, one of Stein backing Spirit up against a wall to kiss the back of his hand in a kind of creepy way (as it should be XD) and even some actual makeouts! So, I wound up really being fond of this site, even if I don't know that it'll work the same for everyone. (Stein/Spirit, a little bit of gen.)

- Soul Eater - JBjam [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - The first time I saw this site, there really wasn't enough art to capture my attention very well. There still really isn't a lot of art or anything, maybe only five illustrations or so? But there's one of shirtless Stein that's got all these really pretty light, airy colors that somehow work so well for the illustration! And then I thought, eh, what the hell, I'll go through the rest of the site and opened up the other images, looking at them in full view and there's... there's just something about this artist that won me over. The Soul+Maka illustration probably helped a lot, but I do genuinely like the soft, pretty colors and you can find a bunch more little sketches by going through the site page by page. I always appreciate that. :D (No real warnings/pairings.)

- Soul Eater - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - So you know how I'm kind of a sucker for Stein/Spirit art? Yeah, well. At least I try to own my preferences. ^_~ But I do think this site is really cute and it's got some really kind of adorable art of Stein and Spirit from when they were younger, especially the one where Stein looks SO THRILLED REALLY to have Spirit glomping onto him to keep an eye on him. The site isn't going to be for everyone and I'm probably affected by how small the fandom is, so I'm easy to please, but. Once the artist settles into her style, she does some really cool little semi-stylized art and her chibis (on the first log page) are kind of great. I really liked this site rather genuinely. :Db (Some Stein/Spirit, maybe a little Soul/Maka, some gen as well.)

- Soul Eater - NOx [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Okay, this is actually a re-rec, despite that I recommended it previously not all that long ago, but. A lot of new art has been added since then and, holy shit, is some of it gorgeous. The most current comics, with Stein being all crazy at Spirit are really, really hot, the shading and lineart on them are gorgeous. Her Stein is especially smoking hot and there's this quick little comic of him against Medusa and wow that's really hot, too. And and and! Younger Stein all dressed in white in a dull gray room, the only real color are splashes of blood and his pale eyes and asd;lfkjasljk yes plz. The artist has always been good, but I wanted to do a re-rec to point out that she got a lot better in the last month or so, to the point where she's totally hitting my buttons beautifully now. ♥ (Some Stein/Spirit, some gen.)

- Soul Eater - Virtual Reality [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I went back and forth on this site a lot, because some of the illustrations really started to get me interested, but other times it just wasn't my kind of style. The art is very CG-style and a little stylized in its own way. Which isn't bad, just that it wasn't quite hitting me personally. But you know what I'm weak to? Soul/Maka art that's really super-cute at times or is of them lounging around and kissing or Soul picking Maka up to carry her or Maka kissing his cheek. It's a bit on the simple side, but the colors are nice, the style kind of suits the series, and the content made me go ".... ♥" a lot. That's all I need from a site. ♥ (Some Soul/Maka, some gen.)
