- Tales of the Abyss/Howl's Moving Castle - Bird Cage [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Oh, man, adorable little comics where all of the characters look so cute and then adorable Luke/Tear fanart to go along with them. The art is very much on the cute side during the whole site, but they can also be kind of pretty at the same time. The strength of the artist's basic lines (which you can especially see in those b&w comics) is solid and the colors are very cute. It's much the same for the HMC fanart, though, perhaps not quite as polished yet. It's the kind of site that'll make you go, "Awwwwww. ♥" a lot if you're partial to the characters/pairings drawn, but may not win you over if you're not already a fan. It's still really cute stuff, though. ♥ (Some Luke/Tear, some gen for ToA. Howl/Sophie for HMC.)

- Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I was going to finally just close my browser and stop looking at fanart for the night because my brain was actually starting to hurt from seeing so many sites (given that I wound up recommending about 20 sites and I rec maybe one out of every four I look at....), but I was enticed into just one more Tales of the Aybss site because the art looked like it could really be cool. And even if my brain rebelled against me a little, it was worth it, this site has some super-adorable art and one of my new favorite illustrations--Peony and Jade riding on some sort of contraption while Saphir hangs off the edge by the back of his pants, bent over so that his shirt is practically over his head. It is never not funny when artists tease Dist, especially when they do it with such fun, well-done art. The group illustrations are fantastic, the author clearly has a sense of fun and humor and you can just feel that coming off all her art. A-also, the site was totally worth it for the illustration of Guy putting a blanket over a sleeping kidlet Asch and kidlet Natalia as they lean against a tree. Adorable omg. (No real warnings/pairings, at least not enough to count.)

- Higurashi no Naku Koro ni/Tales of the Abyss - Replay [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I feel like I haven't seen this style in ages, this particular kind of CG style and I didn't realize that I kind of missed it. It works especially well with a series like Higurashi and a character like Shion, she looks so pretty in all of the illustrations. The colors are the lovely darker pastels (shut up, that totally makes sense) or those brighter, cheerier pastels that the series uses so much of. The illustrations are just cute and if there were more Satoshi/Shion like this artist, I might actually fall for the pairing. (Not that I have any shipping preferences in Higurashi.) The one of all the girls glomping onto each other is probably one of my new favorites in fandom. ♥ As for the Tales of the Abyss section, I was originally going to skip recommending it only because I wasn't sure there was actually going to be enough to recommend. But then I kept going through the site and... there's still not a ton of art, but it's that CG style I like so much and the colors are so pretty and I love the artist's Dist a whole lot. ♥ (A little bit Satoshi/Shion, but mostly gen. Some Peony/Jade/Dist in varying combinations and some gen.)

- Tales of the Abyss/Tales of Destiny/Harukanaru Toki no Naka de/Katekyou Hitman REBORN! - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I think this might be the first Tales of Destiny site I'm properly recommending, which I normally avoid because I only know of the game through second-hand knowledge and having read a few volumes of the manga, which give me enough info to recognize characters, but not a deep appreciation of the game. However, there is Leon + Rutee fanart on this site! And it's very cute! The Abyss and Destiny art are mixed into the same catagory together, which is part of the reason why I'm recommending for both series, but it's also really cute stuff. It's often chibi or pairings I don't see nearly enough of (like Guy/Luke) and not really a ton here, but... enough to make it a worthwhile distraction for a bit. As for the Harutoki art, it's more of the same cute, almost water-color-style painting, using bright colors and cute designs to make me really quite like the artist's work. And, finally, the reason I stumbled over the site in the first place--the REBORN! fanart, which is sometimes a little shakey, but overall is quite solid. The artist does a really good Tsuna especially, but a damn good Gokudera as well. Her Gokudera/Tsuna is super-cute, which isn't a pairing I was expecting to find here, but am delighted at nonetheless. In the more recent art, the artist has gotten really good at drawing these characters, her lines smoothed out and tightened up and there's one of kidlet Gokudera and kidlet Tsuna playing on a swing that's just fantastic. I love. ♥ (Gen for Abyss and Destiny and Harutoki, some Gokudera/Tsuna for REBORN!.)

- Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanse Fanart Sites ] - It's been awhile since I stumbled over a ToA site that I liked that I hadn't already been to (I stopped looking quite so much partly because of new fannish obsessions, but partly because all the sites were starting to run together in my head), but I happened to wander over to this one and am greatly pleased to have done so. The first couple of links I clicked onto were of Dist and Jade/Dist art, so that put me in a good mood right there. But I think what I ultimately wound up liking best about the site was the stylization of it, the interesting take on the characters (especially the God-Generals) that the artist had. ....well, okay, and the Keterburg fondness the artist seemed to have. ♥ Anything with the group of them standing around or Saphir when he was younger and hadn't quite outgrown that terrible haircut, all of them were fantastic. *loves* (Maybe a little Jade/Dist, but it's mostly a gen site.)

- Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - There's not very much art on this site, just a handful of illustrations, really, but a couple of things won me over. First, there's Nebilim fanart and it's kinda very cute, which is a really rare thing to come across. Second, there are sprites and they are super-adorable! Not everyone is going to like this site the way I did, but the bright, airy, almost pastel colors (that fit Nebilim and the Keterburg characters so well) were something I really liked. Plus. You know. Sprites. I am weak to these things. (No real warnings/pairings.)

- Tales of the Abyss - Vision Butterfly [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - There is something really kind of pretty and yet leaning towards the cutesy side of things at the same time with this site. I really like the colors the artist uses, the softened touch she puts on them makes them really stand out--like, there's this one of young Luke and Guy sleeping against each other against a tree that is quite possibly the most adorable thing I've seen all day. Or the one of Anise glomping onto Ion! Or the one of a younger Natalia, Guy, and Luke being all adorable dressed up for Christmas and spread out underneath the tree! Or the super adorable one of the Keterburg kids when they were younger! And so on. ♥ There are some really beautiful images on this site, I'm glad to have stumbled over it. (Nothing I'm going to warn for.)

- Katekyou Hitman REBORN!/Tales of the Abyss - SACRED [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I took kind of a weird path getting here--I started out looking for Final Fantasy III fanart, somehow this led to FFXII fanart, which then led to... REBORN! art. Not that I'm complaining, because I stumbled onto a fantastic Tsuna/Gokudera art site here. I wish there'd been more typical illustrations (because they're beautifully done) but it's hard to complain when there are SO MANY comics and there is some damn fine art to be found in them. The artist draws all the characters very cute, I really like her Tsuna a lot, he's so pretty, but her Gokudera? SO PRETTY, holy crap. ♥ I swear it must be the shading or something that really knocks me over, there's just something about it that really does it for me (I dunno how well it'll appeal to others, but for me, I love this kind of style) when it's in this many comics. The sheer amount of art totally puts me in the right frame of mind for it. As for the ToA art, there's not nearly as much there, just a handful of illustrations and sketches/oekaki, but... there's some beautiful Sync/Arietta mixed in and I am severely weak to that pairing after sites like this. It'd be so cute and so bittersweet and I love it. ;__; Especially when it's as pretty as this. *__* (Gokudera/Tsuna for REBORN!, Sync/Arietta and some gen for ToA.)

- Final Fantasy III/Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - The art here is very... almost simple, but very cute in style, and that's okay for me because the game itself is very simple and cute. Plus, I'm easier on FFIII sites and especially Luneth/Refia sites because they're kind of rare. The artist does some genuinely cute work, but I think it helps that I'm already a fan--I do really like her colors a lot, they're light and cute and cheerful and she has fun playing with the costumes, which I always love. And, as the artist goes along, her art gets cuter and cuter--Devout!Arc is so adorable. ♥ As for the ToA art, it's more cuteness that somehow really fits the Luke/Tear pairing especially. There's actually a decent amount of detail to the illustrations and there's a large chunk of them here and it made for a solid, fun site, I really had fun here! (Some Luneth/Refia, some gen for FFIII. Some Luke/Tear, some gen for ToA.)

- Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This site is set up a little bit differently from a lot of sites I've visited, so it only looks like there's not a ton of art here, but it's a site that's made up of several littler illustrations grouped together on a single page. So you have about four pages, but the first one has about 40 small images on it, which is a lot of art, even if I wish the illustrations had been bigger. But the artist has this wonderful style, it's warm and soft and sweet and you'd think that wouldn't work with characters like Jade and Dist and Peony, but it's often set when they're younger or just cute enough to pull the style off. Some of them are really kind of gorgeous even and this wound up being the kind of site that makes me want to dive back into ToA fanart again. *___* (Some Jade/Dist, some Peony/Dist, some gen.)

- Tales of the Abyss/Maria-sama ga Miteru - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Possibly this is a re-rec that I just didn't see on my list, but. Well, that happens sometimes. XD Anyway. I kind of wavered on this site for a bit, it was cute and had some interesting stuff on it, and there was at least a little Asch/Natalia, so I was intrigued and wanted to go through the whole site just for that. But what ultimately won me over was a combination of the amount of art on the site and that the basic lineart is really kinda pretty. It's sort of doujinshi-like (several illustrations on the junk log page are indeed straight out of a comic or doujinshi, I'm assuming) and I'm weak to that when done right. Plus. You know. There's an illustration of Peony trying to kiss Nephry and you almost NEVER find fanart of those two! But there's a solid selection of art of several characters, mostly the Keterburg-related characters, but occasionally some Luke or Asch/Natalia pops up. As for the Maria-sama art, it's much in the same style, with the same soft lines and soft colors that works even better for this series. ♥ (Some Asch/Natalia, maybe a little Jade/Luke, maybe some other, maybe some gen. Nothing I'm going to warn for with Maria-sama ga Miteru)

- Tales of the Abyss/Tales of Destiny - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I actually came here through a MONSTER fanart site of all things, then stumbled over the Abyss art and fell a little in love. The chibis are very cute and I like how much fun the artist had with them, but it was really the handful of beautiful Asch illustrations that did it for me. With a lot of the art here, it starts off a little shakey or they're just simple doodles, but it's totally worth it for the handful that are gorgeous and my new favorite Abyss fanart--the one of the Keterburg kids when they were younger, ice skating. Jade being unconcerned that Saphir is about to skid right through the ice, the look on Saphir's face, Peony and Nephry holding hands in the background. a sd;lfkjasl;kj it's like it was made for me, right down to the soft, airy colors that are beautiful. The sketches are just beautiful as well, the artist does soft, light colors and light, easy lines and it's just. aslkdjfaslk PRETTY. *___* It's the same with the Destiny art--it starts out a little shakey, but quickly becomes just so lovely. And for once it's not completely focused on Leon/Judas! ....not that I would have complained at that, her Judas is easily the prettiest. (No real warnings/pairings consistent enough to mention.)

- Tales of the Abyss/Phoenix Wright - ohige [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I don't remember how I stumbled across this site, if I was looking for PW art or ToA art or was even on a site for something else entirely, but I'm glad to have found it. I always like having more Abyss art, but I've not really dove into PW (Or GS, I suppose I should say in the case of the j-fanart sites) art much, especially if they give me pairings or characters I've been and, well. One of the most recent images on this site is a naked professor Nebilim molesting a half-naked Dist and it's... not a pairing I ship, but I am ALL FOR Dist being drawn all soft and pretty as people stick their hands all up in his personal space. A lot of the art isn't perfect, but there's one of Jade and Dist in lab coats while working on something together that totally made the site worth visiting! As for the GS fanart, it's that cel-style coloring that looks really good and some of the illustrations could almost pass for professional. There's one of Kyouya that is kind of ridiculously hot and there is Kyouya/Housuke that is just fantastic (and might quite possibly be my favorite pairing in the series >__>) and generally just one of the best sites I've seen. ♥ (Some pairings for both, a lot of the Keterburg characters for ToA and various for GS.)

- Tales of the Abyss - GIRAFFE [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Oh, this site has some lovely watercolor-style paintings and while not everything is perfect, the artist has a handful that are just really fantastic to look at. Her Luke is especially well done, the colors work so well with him and Guy together. There's a decent amount of art on the site as well and I kind of love the artist's Peony/Guy, too. It was fun going through the sketches pages as well--as much as I'm fond enough of Guy/Luke fanart, it's also nice to see some variety and there's at least one pretty one of Natalia and some cute Luke art and some adorable kidlets stuff. So, a nice stop on my Abyss spree today. (Mostly Guy/Luke, a little other, some gen if you step very carefully.)

- Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I sort of hesitated over this site for awhile, mostly because I wasn't sure I was in the mood for ToA fanart at the time. But I kept clicking randomly through the gallery and, the more illustrations I saw, the more I was slowly won over. There's a really great one with Luke in a white version of a God- Generals outfit and a really cool one of Luke and Asch in modern clothes and some nicely done genderswapped illustrations and a really gorgeous Guy illustration and a pretty Luke/Tear one and some very pretty Guy/Luke and well. Eventually, even if it's not perfect or not everyone's cup of tea, there were a lot of images I really liked on it and I thought the style was well-done. There's also some cute stuff on the oekaki section--including an Asch/Natalia one that I wish had been bigger and wolf ears on Luke and a Peony/Luke sketch--rounding out the site nicely. (Some gen, some Guy/Luke, some Asch/Luke, some other, some gen. Watch out for the genderswitch in some galleries.)

- Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This is another site that I sort of waffled on for a bit, but eventually decided that, yeah, I was in a ToA mood this morning and I was especially ready for some Ion/Anise art, since that pairing gets all too little attention. The art isn't going to be for everyone and I don't know if I'd have hung around if it weren't a favored pairing of mine, but. I think it's really cute! The artist puts in a surprising amount of detail and has some super-cute poses/concepts and the chibi-style look really grew on me. It's a really fun site to spend some time on, especially if you like these characters. <3 (Ion/Anise, Sync/Anise, some Ion/Arietta, maybe a little Sync/Arietta, some gen.)

- Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Okay, I came really, really close to not recommending this site, purely because I wasn't sure there was enough art here to justify it. But every time I would come across a ToA image in the gallery, I would think, "Man, I wish there were more this series on the site." And then. Then I got to an illustration of the Keterburg cast all ganging up on poor Saphir and I was in love. I had to totally cave just for that one image alone because it made me happy in my soul. <3 The art is very cute, it's got slick colors and they almost kind of shine and are very clean, I like it a lot. Really, my only complaint is that I wanted more. XD (No real warnings/pairings.)

- Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This site is not going to be for everyone, the art is very simple and there's not a ton of detail to it, plus it's very focused on the Ion clones and so there's not much variety. But I was kind of won over it by it because... well, I can't really put my finger on why precisely, possibly just that I liked the interaction between the replicas or I was weak to the chibis, I've been known to be that. XD And, when you see the artist showing her b&w images next to her color images, you can actually see that the lines themselves are nicely clean and solid, making several illustrations really interesting to look at. It's a good, light little site, especially if you're fond of these characters. (No warnings/pairings.)

- Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Have I been to this site before? At first I sort of felt like I had, but when I got further into the gallery, I felt like I hadn't. Idk, maybe I clicked onto the site one day when I just wasn't in the mood for ToA art. Anyway, today I am, so I'm really quietly charmed by this site! The art is on the simple side, but it's clean and often chibi-esque, which makes it really cute to me, and works well with characters like Ion or Sync. There's a surprising amount of it, too, in the regular gallery and on the log pages, which has some really cute pairings that I've not seen a lot, all using the bright, cel-style coloring that makes it work for me. Guy/Sync? Well, when it's this cute, it's hard to complain. <3 (Occasional pairings like Sync/Ion or Guy/Sync, but no real themes.)

- Tales of the Abyss - F*PUNCH [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Man, I guess I must really be in a ToA mood today, this is another site that might not be for everyone, but I really kinda liked it this morning, the colors are bright and clean, often with that almost jewel-tone style to the characters' eyes that I know I'm also weak to, and a lot of focus on the younger crowd, which I... don't really mind. I like Sync a lot, plus the artist would occasionally draw Anise and Arietta together, which I would totally ship for a quarter. But it's also that the artist did a handful of these really pretty poster-style illustrations with Luke and Tear, the one of Luke sleeping in her lap in the garden at night is just gorgeous to me. The group art stuff (the wintery/Christmasy one with Arietta giving Sync a present! Awww!) are lovely as well and I just. I was really charmed by this site. ♥ I think what really won me over was the way the art would seem almost a little simple on one page, but then I'd click onto the next one and suddenly it was really beautiful, about half of the images on the site were the kind that totally make me fall in love with the series all over again and want to go hunt down fanart for the rest of the day again. *__* (Occasional hints of pairings like Sync/Arietta or Anise/Arietta or Sync/Ion or Ion/Arietta, but nothing consistent or overwhelming, so I'd label it closest to gen of anything.)

- Tales of the Abyss - mon*o*crhome [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - You know, the Ion and Sync sites are not necessarily something that I would seek out on my own, but when they keep getting dumped into my lap like this, it's hard to complain. There's not a ton of art here, but the artist has some really cool and interesting illustrations to look at and you can really tell how much she likes the characters. Plus, her chibis are super adorable! So, it was just a nice, fun little stop this morning. (Maybe some Sync/Ion, but it could be gen, too.)

- Tales of the Abyss/Odin Sphere - B.T.Bing [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This is a bit of an odd collection of art and I wasn't sure I was going to stick around at first, but about a third of the way into the site, the art got really interesting and really kinda pretty. Admittedly, I did start off as weak to the site because the first image I saw was a cute one of Luke/Tear, but then it was more about Sync or Ion or Jade/Luke, which were surprisingly detailed when I stopped to really look at them. The artist's Sync is especially fantastic to look at in the later images, whether super sharp lines or a cool stylized effect or just looking fantastic. There's only a handful of Odin Sphere illustrations, but! The first one is really pretty Oswald/Gwendolyn and then, about halfway through the gallery, there are more of them. *__* There's one of Oswald sitting in a chair with Gwendolyn draped over his lap and HI OTP FANART IT'S BEEN AWHILE I HAVE MISSED YOU. So. It's not a huge site, but it had some really great stuff on it. <3 (No real consistent themes for ToA, some Oswald/Gwendolyn and some gen for OS.)

- Tales of the Abyss - C+holic [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - There is not a lot of art on this site, maybe a dozen images or so, but they're so totally my speed that I had to recommend them anyway. The colors are those bright, vivid, jewel-tones that practically glow on the screen (I'm weak, okay?) and the lines are clean and sharp and lovely. The illustrations are adorable, the one of Guy with little kidlet Luke with wings is lovely and so is little kidlet Luke in a yellow raincoat playing in puddles after it's rained. Such pretty colors, but also the AWWW SO CUTE reaction that it gets from me. I can't ask for more than that. XD (No warnings/pairings, not really.)

- Tales of the Abyss - Local/Guild [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Sometimes I am kind of easy when it comes to ToA art, especially when the site has a series of images or does some super-cute chibi stuff. Which this site has both of--the first link I clicked onto in the gallery was a series of calendar images with various characters being cute with each other. Then there's an illustration of a great big present box with the chibis spilling out of it. And then there's a cute Luke/Tear Halloween image. And it's just. Fun! The artist occasionally does some really solid work, she has some nice colors and a really nice diversity of characters. The artist gets better and better as she goes along as well, so it made for a nice little site this afternoon. ♥ (No warnings/pairing themes, not really.)

- Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - You know, I go back and forth on Luke/Tear sometimes. There are times when I can understand the criticisms of it. But then there are times when I'm just, "But... but... but I like it.... ;__;" and I'm kind of in the latter mood right now. There's not nearly enough fanart for these two out there, so I treasure a site whenever I come across it, especially when it has such cute, adorable art. It's very light and airy, the colors soft and gentle, the lines round and soft as well. I imagine you'll have to be a fan of the pairing first before enjoying this site, but if you like them, it's cutely satisfying and enjoyable to go through the gallery. <3 Plus, there's an Asch/Natalia image floating around in the gallery and the Luke/Tear comic sketches are really kind of well-done and some of the sketches in the log section are really kind of fabulous, too. *__* (Luke/Tear, some gen.)

- Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I came here because I was following a link from the previous Luke/Tear site and I wanted to see if I could find more art for them. And I do like the art for the pairing here, but I think I wound up staying more for the overall variety on the site, since the artist put in several other characters, too. She has a really cute Anise image, a cool Asch one and... is that a choose your own adventure comic with Asch and Mushroom Road? .....AWESOME. The chibi art in the comics! SO FREAKING CUTE. (Plus, the happy ending had Asch and Natalia in it? HI, FANART SITE, ILU A LOT. ♥) So, it was stuff like that on the site that made it even better, in addition to the really sweet and cute Luke/Tear art. I totally had fun on this site. ♥ It might not be for everyone, the art is sketchy (I almost wanted to say it was stylized in a way, but that's not really what I mean) and it looks deliberately rough, but I kind of liked it anyway. And, the further you get into the gallery, the smoother and prettier the art gets, so you may want to start with the most recent if you're not as much of an art junkie as me? (Some Luke/Tear, some gen.)

- Tales of the Abyss/Code Geass - Color Season [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - There's not a whole lot of art on this site, but what's here is kind of fantastic. I was only three or four clicks into the gallery when the art started taking on this really clean, professional look, the colors are solid and anime cel-style and the proportions are good and, yes, you can still tell it's fanart, it's the really good kind. *__* Plus, okay, I'm weak to Guy in a bartender's outfit. The site does have a lot of pairings I don't see often (though, I wouldn't mind seeing more of Jade and Nebilim, at least not in a gen way) and I was kind of surprised to stumble over the Jade/Guy illustration, but... well, hell, any site that gives me pretty fanart of Tear and Natalia standing back to back, ready to fight, is A+ with me. XD As for Code Geass, there's even less art here for that series than there is ToA, but it's the same solid, nearing professional-level stuff that looks really pretty. Even with the sketches, you can tell the artist has a strong grip on the characters, which is nice. <3 (Some pairings, some gen for both series, there really aren't any recurring themes.)

- Tales of the Abyss - TOM [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - When this artist puts their mind to it, they can do some really cool and pretty stuff. There's a lot of scribbly art or obviously cracky/non-serious art on the site, but if you poke through the galleries long enough, you'll find a decent amount of genuinely pretty art. I really love the colors, they're bright and vivid, just the kind of thing I'm weak to, and the artist uses the softener filter just often enough and just lightly enough that I'm weak to that, too. XD You can kinda tell the artist's favorite is Luke, who looks especially good and gets some adorable images drawn for him, which I'm totally fine with. Just a light, easy, fun site to further my ToA obsession. XD Especially the artist's doujinshi covers, they're kinda gorgeous. *__* (Some Guy/Luke, some gen.)

- Tales of the Abyss - KERO MAX [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This site pretty much took only one click, on to the most recent image, to sell me on the site. A gorgeous Tear fanart that had those bright, vivid, nearly glowing colors that I love? That was part of a tarot card series of illustrations? SOLD. The site went even further to sell me by having some really pretty Luke/Tear fanart, which I was totally in the mood for this morning. I mean, I would have loved this site even without that, but it definitely totally put me over the top with this artist. The lines are so clean and detailed, the coloring so soft and pretty, and just as;ldkfjasl;kj this is the stuff I'm weak to, shut up. The earlier stuff is a little weaker, but you can see the progress from the artist and asl;kdjl holy crap do I want more from them. *___* (Some Luke/Tear, some gen.)

- Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I really went back and forth on this site for awhile, because I know I'm biased by being in a Luke/Tear mood this morning, but I imagine this site will largely only appeal to those who are already fans of the pairing. Not everything was working for me, but then some other illustrations would just be super cute and fun and I wanted to share. At any rate, it was enough to keep me going through the site until I hit a really surprisingly pretty illustration of Anise and Arietta that's all soft pinks and whites on a black background and a;sdlkfjalskj so pretty. So, I eventually had to cave. It's cute and fun! I enjoyed myself. That's more than enough, you know? ♥ (Luke/Tear, some gen.)

- Tales of the Abyss - armonica a bicchieri [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I actually came here in hopes of finding Vesperia art and I do like what the artist was doing here, but there just wasn't enough art to really justify a rec yet. Which is my frustration with most of what I've found in the Vesperia fandom--a handful of really good images, but not enough for a rec. But there was just enough Abyss art to justify it and it's some cute stuff. You'll have to poke around a bit to find all of it, but you won't spend an hour on the site or anything. It's very CG-style art, but I like the brightness of it, Luke especially looks very nice. And, well, okay, I may have been biased by a really lovely Natalia fanart right off the bat, but I'd totally rec the site just for that one. XD It's a nice little site, though, not a lot of art, but enough to be good for a fix this morning. (No real warnings/pairings.)

- Tales of Vesperia/Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I actually came here looking for Vesperia art (since I was on a kick for it this morning) but wound up staying for the Abyss art, as well! Though, in general, I think the Vesperia art is a little stronger, but that's just because it's newer and the Abyss art is still really cute and surprisingly diverse for all the different characters it covered. The artist is really good with these soft, pale colors that combine with clean lines and just a hint of chibi to them, which all combines and looks really pretty sometimes. Plus! Omg! A Vespersia high school AU with character profiles! SO ADORABLE. There's a decent amount of art here, the recent comics are really cute/pretty, and the artist clearly has fun with her work. That made the site a delight to go through. (Maybe a little Yuri/Estelle, but mostly gen, I'd say. Some Luke/Tear for ToA, some gen.)

- Tales of Vesperia/Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - And I'm back to Yuri and Flynn. But I certainly can't resist when the artist has such a soft, pretty style that I'm weak to--none of the illustrations have very solid coloring, but it works because the pastel colors are lovely and she's got a solid grip on the characters. I'm also weak to art of Yuri and Flynn as kidlets or the way Flynn looks almost sunlit, even in the more angsty illustrations. I dunno, the artist just made this one work for me somehow. Also. You know. Makeouts and stuff. :D The same (except maybe minus the makeouts) applies to the Abyss art--lots of bright, airy colorings and a bunch of added chibis. I dunno if I would have stuck around on this site if it didn't have the Vesperia art that I'm hungry for, but it was a really interesting, fun site for the Abyss as long as I was taking the time to go through the site. ....e-even if there was Van/Luke there. (Flynn/Yuri for Verspia, mostly gen for Abyss, but some Van/Luke.)

- Tales of Vesperia - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I definitely wish that there'd been more art on this site, there were only a handful of illustrations (and mostly sketches at that) on these pages, but... I'm weak for pretty art and this artist does a very nice Duke. The whites and reds blend together really well with this artist and it was a nice way to wrap up my spree for today. Plus! The Abyss art! It's a little hit or miss, but when the artist does a good Ion? She does a darn fine Ion. XD Her Sync is pretty damn cute, too. XD (Mostly gen for Vesperia, some Sync/Ion, some gen for Abyss.)

- Tales of the Abyss - MKO [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - You know, after awhile, you see enough Asch/Luke fanart and it all starts to look the same, there's usually only so much you can do with the two characters. What this site did to catch my attention instead was that it started out with a couple of really cute group illustrations, then I was curious enough to keep clicking through the galleries. And they are the main focus of the site, most of the art is centered around the two of them, but the artist does a really lovely job, with the warm colors and pretty lines, making it fun to look at the art, then following it up with getting some variety sneaked in once in awhile. (Usually of Ion or sometimes Guy. The girls started showing up a bit more in the later sketches.) Most of it's in the log pages and, MAN, are some of those sketches pretty as hell. There's also kind of a lot of art here, so, you know, I was totally going to cave eventually. XD (Asch/Luke, a smidge of Guy/Luke, maybe a smidge of gen if you step carefully.)

- Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I don't think this site is going to be for everyone, but... well, I'm weak to Natalia, so I was always going to view it more fondly. And the art is kind of really cute and you should like it all right if you like Natalia's character or if you're as hardcore an OTPer with Asch/Natalia as I am, because the pairing seems to get the cutest art on the site. A lot of the art is in sketches or little doodles, but there's a lot of it and some if it just so awww-inducingly OTP that I can hardly stand it. There's also a lot of art on the site, so by the time I finished with it... well, I'd caved pretty hard. XD I adore how much you can tell this artist really loves Natalia. ♥ (Asch/Natalia, with some gen and some other/Natalia.)

- Tales of the Abyss - Microcosmos [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I had to recommend this site for a couple of reasons, the first being that it had some pairings I hadn't seen elsewhere and I'm a sucker for oddball pairng art to add to my theoretical list of Every Possible ToA Pairing Ever in Fanart. I mean, where else will I find Frings/Guy? XD But the second reason I'm recommending this site is because it does some damn fine Malkuth army illustrations--the artist's Frings is really lovely and her Peony is lovely as well. There's a lot of Peony/Guy on the site, actually, which isn't my usual pairing, but this site put me in such a Malkuth mood (odd that there's not as much Jade as you'd expect, but given that he gets a million sites elsewhere, I don't particularly mind this time XD) that I didn't mind at all. Plus, omg the one of Frings, Cecile, and baby Guy? L:AKSDJALSKJ SO ADORABLE. Occasionaly there's art of the other characters, but it's mostly centered on those three--the site is worth your time, I think, if you're a fany of Peony, Guy, or Frings. The artist has this really pretty, almost suneshine-esque sort of style that really works for them. (Some Frings/Guy, some Peony/Guy, some Peony/Frings, some other, especially other/Guy, some gen if you step carefully.)

- Tales of the Abyss - Little by Little [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This site is pretty cute and solid, more adorable than anything else, but... what got me to cave was that there were a handful of the Keterburg characters as little kidlets and, holy shit, am I ever weak to that. Especially if you've got Peony beaming at Nephry or little Saphir obviously being tortured like you know he was. For the most part, the site is a general mix of most of the cast, semi-chibi-esque art to the style, lots of soft colors, often verging into pastels, but the artist clearly improved over time and once in awhile something really struck me. It's worth a quick skim through and, hell, if nothing else, the Keterburg kids made me really happy. ♥ (No real warnings/pairing themes, maybe a smidge of Peony/Nephry.)

- Tales of the Abyss - ZWEI FLUGEL [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Oh, goddammit. I was trying to avoid recommending this site, I was trying to get back to looking at Vesperia art, so I started skimming the gallery, clicking randomly to see if the art caught my attention or if I could leave. And then there was this really cute illustration of all the girls with cat ears and it was actually kind of really nicely done and asl;dfkajsl I'm weak. So, I went back through the gallery properly and... a lot of the art is fairly standard stuff for me, but you could definitely see progress with the artist throughout the site. By the time you get to the more current stuff, you'll have a handful of really good art and a;slkdfjalsj I'm weak, shut up. But I totally want to see more from this artist now. *__* Also, she follows it up with chibis that are SO ADORABLE, man. (No real warnings/pairing themes.)

- Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - AUGH, SERIOUSLY. I'm hitting up the Vesperia search engines, so I don't know why I keep coming back to Abyss sites! Not that I really mind, I have deep love for Abyss obviously, but! I was trying to be at least a little balanced today! And yet. I cannot resist this site because... well, there's not a lot of art here and it starts off a little shakey, but the artist quickly improves and some of the illustrations just nail this really vivid, lovely anime style of art. Asch especially looks amazing, but there's a lovely one of Natalia and then a really pretty one of Luke/Tear and OMFG THE KIDLET LUKE ONE. SO CUTE. Seriously, my only complaint is NEEDS MOAR. MOAR AND MOAR AND MOAR. *__* (No real warnings/pairing themes.)

- Tales of the Abyss - Chicory [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I really wish there'd been more art on this site, because I'm weak to this kind of stuff. And if it'd been just about anything else with this series, I don't know if I'd have caved on recommending it, but... the very first illustration! Of Nebilim with baby Jade and baby Saphir! So weak. Plus, half of the art on the site was all about the Keterburg characters and, well. Any site that has Dist illustrations on them, I'm going to be all over. There's not a ton of art here and it's not going to be for everyone, but I enjoyed it as a quick site to give a whirl this morning. (Possible pairings with the Keterburg characters, but I'd say no real warnings/pairings.)

- Tales of the Abyss - alCaphrah [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I was actually looking for more Vesperia art and just happened to stumble over this one with some really super-adorable Abyss art instead! It's not usually my favorite style, it's a little too stylized for me, but I really adored the watercolor like look of the illustrations. Admittedly I was charmed by the Luke/Tear illustration that was the first thing I saw here, but I actually like the site more on a gen level and as;dlkfjaslkj omg the ones of baby Natalia, Luke, and Guy are SO ADORABLE. The whole site was just... really warm-hearted and fun, with a nice variety of characters. And, oh, man, the log art was totally awesome and fun. *__* (No real warnings/pairings.)

- Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Hm. Another site I feel like I may have seen before. But maybe I just passed it up before since I wasn't in the mood at the time? Idk. But it's got some really nicely done art, very clean lines and bright, smooth colors that I really like. I think I especially knew I was going to cave on this site when I got to the one of Luke and Tear in waitress uniforms together, but there's a lot of really cute Luke art in general here. There's also a nice Sync/Anise and at least one hot Tear illustration. Not a lot of art, but worth a quick trip through, if you're in the mood. (No real warnings/pairings.)

- Tales of the Abyss - NontyRoom [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - You know, I keep thinking that I'd have found all the Asch/Natalia-friendly sites by now! And it's not that there's a ton here, but the site does have a couple of illustrations for them. The art is very shiny, very CG and brightly colored and kind of slick and stylized and isn't going to be for everyone, but... the artist is totally one of my people, there are so many of the ships I've become really fond of. Asch/Natalia and Luke/Tear and Sync/Arietta and even Ion/Anise art! And a decent amount (considering how much art is here) of Natalia art! It's not perfect, it's very stylized and that's not going to work for everyone, but I was totally charmed and wanted more. (Smidges of Asch/Natalia, Luke/Tear, other het, and some gen.)

- Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - ....well, apparently I really am in the mood for ToA art again this morning. And I feel like I've seen some of this art before, but I may have been browsing elsewhere and finally just stumbled over the artist's page. Though, some of this Asch/Natalia art looks really familar. But, well. If it is a re-rec, it's totally worth it because the artist has some darling stuff. The colors are these bright, slick cg style and the lines are clean and smooth, with nicely polished lines. And then there are CHIBIS THAT ARE SO FREAKING CUTE. I was delighted by the focus on the ToA girls without being exclusively about them, I loved that there was a solid amount of Asch/Natalia and how cute it was. And there's SO MUCH CUTENESS on the log pages, the little oekakis and the little series of doodles for Natalia and Luke trying to talk to Guy about what to get Asch for a present and MOAR OEKAKI. And just. Ugh. It's ridiculous how much I am in love with this site. ♥ (Asch/Natalia, some gen.)

- Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Admittedly, I stuck it out with this site because there was a lot of cute Natalia and Asch/Natalia sketches and I'm super easy for my OTP. But the art was that sketchy kind of cute that I'm also fond enough of and there was potential with the artist, that you could see slowly getting better with each page. And then there were some really cute doodles. And then a lovely image of Tear in a grassy field at night. Then a really pretty image of Natalia against a windy sky. And then more sketches of Asch and Natalia being ridiculously adorable for each other and Asch being a total moron over her and well! Before I knew it, this was a site I was enjoying genuinely, not just because it was my OTP--though, I do advise (for those who aren't as much of a junkie for these things as I am) to start with the newer links first and work your way backwards. There's some very lovely single-character art here as well and possibly this is a re-rec, since some of the images look familiar, but I don't care. I was in an OTP mood today and this gave my fix, shut up. Plus, there's probably new art anyway. XD (Some Asch/Natalia, some gen.)
