- Tales of the Abyss - colorcube [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This site has some really super-cute art, some really pretty, light, airy coloring that reminds me a little of the game itself combined with adorable line-art and then some really cute concepts/poses. The artist really has a lot of skill, so her CG-style art looks really good and she totally does a great job with each and every character, and her girls are SO CUTE. There's a solid amount of art here, which made it even more fun to go through the gallery. ♥ (Maybe some pairings, but no real themes.)

- Odin Sphere/Tales of the Abyss - SUDACHIPS [Japanese Fanart Site ] - Not that I'm far enough into the game (at this point in time) to be looking for fanart, but I couldn't resist. Not when this site started me off with such an incredible Onyx/Gwendolyn (I think?) image and when I went through the rest of the gallery, I just fell in love with the artist's style. It's a really rich, beautiful style that does this game and these characters justice and she's done one for nearly every major character, so there was a sense of variety as well. The colors are fantastic, too. ♥ And I wasn't going to recommend this for the Tales of the Abyss section, since it was kind of small (compared to some of the sites I've seen) but then the artist drew a bunch of Jade images with him in various outfits and a really nice pirate!Asch and a handful of other stuff that made me weak. <3 (No real pairing themes/warnings.)

- Tales of the Abyss - hitujibokujyou [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This is another site I wasn't sure I would be able to rec simply because I wasn't sure there was enough to do so, despite that the main gallery had three or four simply gorgeous pieces. The first one of Jade is especially just beautiful, with him in the middle of casting a spell and the lovely blue colors the artist used. But then there were a handful of pages of oekaki images of most of the cast (and I love the way this artist draws their eyes and hair *__*) and I am so very weak to that sort of thing. I wond up just being quietly charmed by this site so much, it was really fun and the art is very cool and pretty to look at so many times. <3 (No warnings/pairings.)

- Tales of the Abyss - spare label [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Okay. I got about three images into this site when I was digging the artist's painting-like style and then I hit one of Natalia dragging Asch along by the hand in... the dessert oasis, I think? And I just instantly fell for the site because, yes, I love those two so hard. But it's more than that, it's that the artist does a lot of really cool, interesting art of almost all the characters and manages to pack a lot of detail into her images. Her Asch is especially fantastic, the red of his hair and the way it can spill all over the place at times is just fantastic. I mean, yes, part of it is the OTP thing (as well as Luke/Tear! <3) but mostly it's just a really good site with a lot of art that's really fun to go through. Between those two aspects, I think this is definitely one of my favorite sites so far. (Some Asch/Natalia, a little Luke/Tear, a lot of gen.)

- Tales of the Abyss - Himanico [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - There are only a handful of images on this site, maybe seven or so, but they're all lovely enough that I had to recommend the site anyway. The artist uses these really warm, pretty colors and combines them with really fantastic lineart and it makes for just a really neat, pretty site that's one of the better ToA sites I've seen so far. I especially like the one of Tear facing away from the screen, the way her hair swishes slightly in the wind and just... something about it really caught my eye. And, also, the group image is pretty fantastic. <3 (No warnings/pairings.)

- Tales of the Abyss - PLAINES [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Oh, man, I love this artist, she's one of those who just utterly nails the anime/cel-style art with perfect lines and colors and concepts and poses for the illustrations. Every single image is a treat to come across, even the simple oekaki images and I can spend ages combing through all the galleries and pages because this style just hits me so well. It's right inside my wheelhouse when done like this. ♥ I'm not sure I could even say why, just that it's the kind of site that hits me really hard. It helps, of course, that the artist does so many of the characters, that there's a really good variety of them to be found here. I love well-rounded sites and this is one of my favorites. (No real pairing themes, there's a little het and a little yaoi implications, but nothing I would specifically warn for.)

- Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This isn't my usual style of art, so the site took me awhile to warm up to it, but after going through many pages of the galleries, somehow I was just... slowly won over. It helps, of course, that I really like the Luke/Tear pairing and the artist draws them very cutely, but mostly I think that it's the ton of oekaki art in the style that I'm weak to that really ultimately appealed to me. I don't know how each piece would look individually or if non-fans of the pairing would go for the site, but when you give me a page with six oekaki strung together, I wound up being charmed by it. :D Though, I do think the b&w sketches from the artist could appeal to anyone, they're really a lot of fun and well-done. (Luke/Tear, a lot of gen, too.)

- Tales of the Abyss - AONOGI [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - You know, I was enjoying this site, especially the artist's take on Ion + Anise (which I thought could have been/was cute in the game), but I think what I really fell for was the image of a younger Van and Tear in the foreground of an image, with their older, gloomier selves in the background. It's images like that that really delight me on sites, especially when the artist has a really solid style as well, the artist draws well and does some nice cel-style coloring and tends to do a lot of poster-like images. The artist also does an absolutely adorable Arietta and a really fantastic Synch and one of the better Anises I've seen. If nothing else, I think the site is worth checking out for the image of Tear doing Anise's hair that's one of the most adorable things I've ever seen. AND AND AND. The image of Luke sleeping against Tear's shoulder as she carries him that's so pretty, then the little extra doodle that shows him dreaming of Van while she goes ~_~ at him. alsdfkjasdlkfjsd HILARIOUS. ♥ And, really, there are a handful of illustrations (like kid!Tear that's beautifully done) that are just must-see images on this site and worth it right there. (....maybe a little Ion/Anise or Ion/Arietta, maybe a smidge of Luke/Tear, but mostly gen, I would say.)

- Tales of the Abyss - J-BACK [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I'm not sure if it's the nice sketch-like style of the artist that looks nice or the sheer amount of art here that made me like this site, but I found myself really enjoying a lot of the pieces on it. I think some of my favorite images are the Ion/Anise ones, a pairing that the fanart is quietly making me genuinely like, especially when they're so cute like they are here. The one of Ion kissing Anise's forehead, done in these soft pinks and greens, not quite sketchy, but still full of a lot of detail... that is the kind of thing I love. There's also this really awesome series of illustrations set post-game, when Ion and Anise are older (I think?) and they look so hot and, yeah, okay, I think this site officially made me ship them. That's how much I really liked the art. <3 (Ion/Anise, a little Luke/Tear, a little bit of other het maybe, a lot of gen.)

- Tales of the Abyss - Tersn [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - When this artist really puts some time into an image, it really shows, you can see a ton of detail in everything, from the clothes to the hair to the faces to the backgrounds. It's not overly detailed, it's just done really well so that everything looks really... well, professional. Even some of the b&w sketches are amazingly detailed and finely drawn, there's one of Ion in particular that's just fantastic and a series of Asch images in one picture that's really gorgeous to look at. The artist also draws something for just about every character, all of them done just as fantastically as the rest and some of them made me just stop and stare because this is my wheelhouse right here. Already, it's absolutely one of my favorite ToA sites. *______*♥ (No real warnings/pairings.)

- Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - The very first ToA image I saw on this site was a beautifully done Asch/Natalia image that immediately made me love the artist almost unconditionally. And maybe I'm just colored by my fondness for Natalia (who surprised me with how much I liked her, I figured I would at least somewhat like her, but I didn't count on loving her this much), but I really liked this site a lot. Some of the illustrations on the site aren't necessarily my favorites, but then others are just fantastic, the way the artist can use colors and a hint of sepia tone is really nice. There are a lot of cute chibis, there's a surprising amount of art tucked away on various pages, and the artist covers a wide variety of characters from the game. All excellent things. <3 (Some Asch/Natalia, some potential Asch/Luke/Natalia, a lot of gen, too.)

- Tales of the Abyss/Harukanaru Toki no Nakade 3 - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - There's not a ton of art here, but what there is of it is just so... bright and cute and cheerful that I love it! There's one particularly good one of Ion that I really loved and one of Ion + Anise that's really well done and then some super-cute chibi images and it's all just... a good, fun little site. Actually, I think, the Harutoki3 art might be more my style, there are cute chibis and then really pretty, bright, almost-pastel-coloring images and that's one of the kinds that really does it for me. Again, it's just a... a fun, solid little site that's worth a whirl through if you like to look at game fanart. (....nothing I'm going to warn for.)

- Tales of the Abyss - dot.42 [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I tried to pass by this site, there wasn't a whole lot of art that immediately grabbed me, despite it being a perfectly fine site overall. And then I finally got to the oekaki galleries and somewhere along the line... I don't know what it is, maybe I'm just weak to oekaki, despite that I like regular images better. Just. The colors are bright and sparkly! The characters are drawn well! There's a wide variety of art to look at! All things I'm weak to! And it really is a fun, pretty site to go through. ....m-maybe I might have also been influenced by images of my favorite pairings. Possibly. >_> (No real warnings/pairings.)

- Tales of the Abyss - 1or8 [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I took me all of one illustration with this site to fall in love and I knew I had to rec it. The artist's style is that combination of CG and watercolor style that I really like, that somehow the colors often seem to just glow or shine and she does an amazing job with each and every image. Almost all the main characters show up here and each of them are done just as beautifully as the last--there's almost hardly anything for me to point out or talk about with the site, simply because it's just so pretty and there's nothing for me to complain about. I love her Luke and her Ion especially, you can tell she seems very fond of the characters (Luke especially) and it's so easy to make the characters look kind of boring when you've seen as much fanart of them as I have, but this artist... I really did stop and stare at each image for half a minute just to take in the loveliness. (Some Jade/Luke, a lot of gen.)

- Tales of the Abyss - RAXA [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Like a lot of sites, it took me a bit to really get into the site, but I was eventually won over by the pretty, shiny colors. I especially like the way the characters' hair has this shimmery glow to it (look, I told you I was easy, right?) and their eyes are bright, or there'll be these images that are soft and hazy, just as lovely to look at. Admittedly, I skipped over a few of the images, since they weren't my style, but I felt like... by the end of the site, more than half of the images were ones that I thought were really good. It's worth a tour through. <3 (No real warnings/pairings.)

- Tales of the Abyss - TAM [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This site seems to alternate between sort of cute and really pretty, which is why I decided to rec this one. There are some images on this site that are just fantastic, the artist really uses her sketch-like lines and CG-style colors to good effect. There's one in particular of Asch and Luke sitting side by side that I really love and it shows how the artist can achieve some really cool stuff sometimes. Plus, her chibis are adorable and her comics are very solid and her Peony is so cute. XD A very fun, delightful site that's worth going through. <3 (Nothing I'm going to warn for.)

- Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - It didn't take me very long to become fond of this site at all, the artist is really good with the anime-style images and bright, solid colors and can draw incredibly smoothly so everything looks really clean and professional. But it's more than that, it's also that the artist tries out just about everything, while maybe Luke/Tear is the most common pair up, you can also find Ion/Anise or Guy/Anise or Asch/Natalia (including a sketch where Guy is putting a blanket over kiddie!Asch and kiddie!Natalia as they sleep against a tree together that is the cutest fucking thing ever ♥) or Luke/Anise or Jade/Natalia or Guy/Luke or Jade/Guy or a bunch of really adorable group pairings. All the art is so happy and upbeat and cute that I just feel great after visiting this site. ♥ (Some Luke/Tear, maybe a little other, but most of this could be entirely gen.)

- Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I've been to this artist's site before, for her Gintama and Naruto art, but now I see she also has Tales of the Abyss art and she certainly doesn't disappoint. She's got this great ability to sketch something and put in all these little details or interesting uses of color so that I love going through everything of hers, both the rough sketches and the regular gallery proper. Her colors feel a lot like water colors, which is a style you'll see a lot in game fandoms, but she really makes it work for her art here, I love her Asch and her Luke and her Guy and she has this really neat Ion + Anise image which made me smile. But, yeah, mostly it's her beautiful Asch art that makes me rave the hardest. (No warnings/pairings.)

- Tales of the Abyss - ELEPHAN [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I loved this site from nearly the very first moment I set eyes on it. The artist's style is gorgeous, her Asch's flaming red hair was this really deep, beautiful color and the way she could draw the other characters in this bright, sun-dappled sort of way was amazing. I loved the art of all the characters and the variety instantly. So much warmth and richness to the images. But then I got to her Asch/Natalia art and I just simply fell further in love. Her art for them is beautiful, even more than just being well-done (which they very, very much are ♥), they evoke a lot of emotion in each piece, whether happier times or powerful moments or sadness at all the tragedy in their lives. Her Natalia is wonderful, her etc. art is fantastic--there's one of the most beautiful Peony images I've seen. Just. *happy sigh* This is what j-fanart is about. ♥♥♥ (There's some Asch/Natalia, but there's a lot of gen, too.)

- Tales of the Abyss - RedCastle [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - It didn't take me long at all to fall in love with this artist's work, the bright colors and softened look to the images, the solid base art and adorable poses for just about everyone, a really good variety of characters used, all elements that win me over. And I really love that, no matter what pairings you like, there was probably a couple of images tucked away in the various galleries that you would like, along with genuinely good, solid art. I loved that the art was so cute, but that none of it felt half-finished, like a lot of art can sometimes start to feel when you have a site with this much on it. Even if it's simply putting a sunset in the background or a forest area or even just a simple sky, there was almost always something to make the image feel complete. Very nice. (Some het/yaoi pairings, but you could basically see it as a gen site.)

- Tales of the Abyss - Crono-Zero [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Oh, man, I'm just weak to this kind of art, the warm colors that are like a sunlightened version of sepia tones, all the pretty uses of soft yellows and reds and tans that work well with a pairing like Guy/Luke and, finally, the artist followed through with kidlet art. I am weak to the art of the characters as cute little kids. There's the occasional image of other people (there's a really nice lineart of Tear, too!) but mostly you're going to want to go here for the adorable Guy/Luke, I think. Very nice. (Some Guy/Luke, some gen.)

- Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - You know what this artist does? She draws Asch and Luke in cat ears. She has a very nice use of color and adorable line art and everything looks really well-put together and then she puts them in cat ears and I have to have all integrity fly out the window because they're so adorable. Especially when they're in little chibi form. The little chibi Luke leaning against the little chibi snowman version of Asch? SO CUTE I CAN HARDLY STAND IT. ♥ I just... there's not much to say about this site other than: *FLAIL* So much cuteness! So much pretty color! I love it! XD Oh, and also. The comics are excellent, I love the clean, yet sharp lines of them, so very pretty. (....nothing I'm going to warn for, it strikes me as a gen site? Though, if you like Asch/Luke, you'll like this site.)

- Tales of the Abyss - Suespo [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - It took me awhile to cave on this site, because it's not that it wasn't pretty, it's just that I wasn't sure it was my thing... until I got to the image of Asch, bloody and beaten against the stone wall, with the spectre of little Natalia kneeling beside him that I start to really crumble. Then, I kept going through the gallery, the artist really started to get amazingly good with her art, and then... there was a cute chibi Luke/Tear image. Then Tear in a really cute cat-style costume. Asch with little doll!Natalia! SO CUTE. And that's what I really liked about this site, that the overall effect wore me down until I was kind of quietly heartmarking all over the place. (There's a little bit of a lot of things, some Asch/Natalia, maybe a little Luke/Asch, a little other implications, a lot of gen.)

- Tales of the Abyss - MATAKOKODE [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This is another site that took me a bit to get into, the artist's style took me a few pages to win me over, but eventually the bulk of the site finally won me over. Especially since I really love any image that has Dist in it and the artist does some very nice things with dark, burnished-metal-esque colors. There are a couple of especially lovely Tear illustrations, though, the artist mainly focuses on Jade's character, you can tell that he's her favorite. A nice little site to have come across this morning. <3 (A little bit of everything, het, yaoi, and gen. Lots of Jade focus, but kinda worth it for other characters, too.)

- Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Okay. I was trying to remain strong with this site, there were only a handful of images in the main gallery, despite the utter cuteness of Jade and Dist (I think?) as kids in this really pretty light, airy watercolors style. But then I was going through the oekaki section and the artist had drawn pretty much everyone and her Asch was really cute and her Luke and Tear images were cute and then... as;dlijflaks dammit! Asch/Natalia! My weakness! Really cute, pretty Asch/Natalia art, too! And then one of Ion and Anise sitting next to each other with their hands on top of the other's! So cute! I have a weakness for a bunch of oekaki images dropped onto a page and the sum total of the site wins me over. So. Yes. Pretty art in the main gallery, fun oekaki, nice use of colors, and there's just enough of my preferred pairings to totally make me cave. XD (Some Asch/Natalia, some Asch/Luke, some other het, some other yaoi, a lot of gen, too.)

- Tales of the Abyss - sleeping [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - If there are two (more) things I'm weak to in this fandom, it's Jade/Dist fanart and adorable, adorable little kidlets. I really like the artist's colors, they're so bright and her Dist has all these pretty pastels, especially when he's a kid with all these stuffed animals crowded around him. ♥ And, oh, man, the image with little Jade, Dist, Peony, and Nephry in school--!! a sd;flkjas;ldkjals SO ADORABLE. There's not a ton of art here, just a handful of images, but they're so damn cute that I had to recommend the site. Also, they totally hit my kinks for those characters. ♥ (Some Jade/Dist, some gen.)

- Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - So, I originally came here for the potential Sync/Arietta fanart, but it took pretty much only two images in the gallery to totally break me. Ion/Anise adorableness, where they're in such cute clothes and smiling happily (well, Anise is, Ion's going :O as he tries to catch her) and these lovely pastel colors. And then there's a group image that had a small corner dedicated to Asch going on and on and on about Natalia to the other God-Generals and I totally laughed out loud at the image. Then there's a fantastically done group poster-style image with more pretty pastel colors. And I just... I feel like I could go on and on about each image. Plus, there's a ton of cute oekaki, which was yet more fun with this site. :D (Some potential pairings, but nothing I'm going to quite warn for.)

- Tales of the Abyss - Asa/Gohan [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - There are probably less than twenty total images on this site, but I really like the ones that are here. Her Ion is so adorable and she uses this light, soft pastel colors and makes him look really nice. Plus! Adorable Ion/Anise illustrations! Even a really pretty Natalia one and a couple of cute little Asch/Natalia-friendly oekaki images buried in the log pages. And, if you poke around enough, you can find the sprites! I love sprites, I love them so much. The little Asch/Natalia hand-holding sprites make me happy in my very soul. ♥ (A smidge of Ion/Anise and Asch/Natalia, but a lot of gen, too.)

- Tales of the Abyss - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - There's not a ton of art on this site (though, there's a decent amount) but I'm really charmed by the artist's use of color or the way she draws chibis. Her CG-style illustrations are also really excellent, there's one of Sync without his mask that totally almost looks like a screencap from a CG sequence in the game and there's a super cute Sync/Arietta illustration and just... as the artist goes along, she gets stronger and by the time I was getting to the last few images, I was really kinda impressed with the site. Her group illustrations are very nice and have a bit of a poster-like feel to them (which I always appreciate) and she seems very fond of Sync/Ion/Florian, which I never mind either. Just a nice, fun little site with some cool art to have seen. <3 (....nothing I'm going to warn for.)
